가변 상태궤환 이득을 이용한 CDMA 셀룰라 시스템의 제한된 분산전력제어 (A Distributed Constrained Power Control with Variable State Feedback Gain in CDMA Cellular Systems)

  • We present a power control with variable state feedback gain (VFPC) to improve outage convergence rate of distributed constrained power control. The variable state feedback gain includes the information of the desired SIR changes and must be a decreasing sequence for the convergence. The proof of the convergence is given. The proposed algorithm can improve the outage convergence rate and SIR (Signal to Interference Ratio) response at transient as well as at steady state. The simulation results are given to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme.

  • 전기기기 제품, 부품의 부식을 검증하기 위해서 염수, 아황산가스, 암모니아 가스 등을 이용한다. 염수시험은 입수를 액체 분무형태로 생성하며, 시편이 부식되도록 일정한 양을 분무하고 시험조 내에 균일한 분포를 갖도록 조정할 필요가 있다 본 논문은 연수분무 시험장치의 주요 인자를 바탕으로 실험계획법을 적용하여 시험용액의 분포가 균질하도록 최적의 조건을 찾는 방법을 제시하였다.

  • In this paper, a new variable structure controller (VSC) is presented. The presented VSC can be applicable to most mechatronic systems such as robotics. A VSC (or also called sliding mode control;SMC) algorithm is presented first, and next, a VSC with nonlinear integral control algorithms is presented. The algorithms use no linear approximation for the derivation of the control law or in the stability proof. It is shown that the robustness of the developed algorithms are guaranteed by the sliding mode control and that the algorithms are globally convergent.

On the Minimax Disparity Obtaining OWA Operator Weights

  • The determination of the associated weights in the theory of ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operators is one of the important issue. Recently, Wang and Parkan [Information Sciences 175 (2005) 20-29] proposed a minimax disparity approach for obtaining OWA operator weights and the approach is based on the solution of a linear program (LP) model for a given degree of orness. Recently, Liu [International Journal of Approximate Reasoning, accepted] showed that the minimum variance OWA problem of Fuller and Majlender [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 136 (2003) 203-215] and the minimax disparity OWA problem of Wang and Parkan always produce the same weight vector using the dual theory of linear programming. In this paper, we give an improved proof of the minimax disparity problem of Wang and Parkan while Liu's method is rather complicated. Our method gives the exact optimum solution of OWA operator weights for all levels of orness, $0\leq\alpha\leq1$, whose values are piecewise linear and continuous functions of $\alpha$.

Generation of Coherent Sub-Terahertz Carrier with Phase Stabilization for Wireless Communications

  • In this paper, we present a photonic approach for generating highly stable coherent sub-terahertz (THz) signals for wireless communications. As proof-of-concept we transmit data at 100 GHz carrier frequency using on-off keying modulation and heterodyne detection. The sub-THz carrier signals are generated by photo-mixing two optical carrier signals at different frequencies, extracted from an optical frequency comb. We introduce a novel system to stabilize the phase of the optical carrier signals. Error-free transmission is successfully achieved up to a bit rate of 8.5 Gbit/s at 100 GHz.

  • Objective: Data exchange, interoperability, and access as a service in healthcare information management systems (HIMS) is the basic need to provision health-services. Data existing in various HIMS not only differ in the basic underlying structure but also in data processing systems. Data interoperability can only be achieved when following a common structure or standard which is shareable such as semantics based structures. We propose web-enabler: A Hadoop MapReduce based distributed approach to transform the existing huge variety data in variety formats to a conformed and flexible ontological format that enables easy access to data, sharing, and providing various healthcare services. Results: For proof of concept, we present a case study of general patient record in conventional system to be enabled for analysis on the web by transforming to semantics based structure. Conclusion: This work achieves transformation of stale as well as future data to be web-enabled and easily available for analytics in healthcare systems.

Research on Finite-Time Consensus of Multi-Agent Systems

  • In order to ensure second-order multi-agent systems (MAS) realizing consensus more quickly in a limited time, a new protocol is proposed. In this new protocol, the gradient algorithm of the overall cost function is introduced in the original protocol to enhance the connection between adjacent agents and improve the moving speed of each agent in the MAS. Utilizing Lyapunov stability theory, graph theory and homogeneity theory, sufficient conditions and detailed proof for achieving a finite-time consensus of the MAS are given. Finally, MAS with three following agents and one leading agent is simulated. Moreover, the simulation results indicated that this new protocol could make the system more stable, more robust and convergence faster when compared with other protocols.

Identity-based Deniable Authenticated Encryption for E-voting Systems

  • Deniable authentication (DA) is a protocol in which a receiver can generate an authenticator that is probabilistically indistinguishable from a sender. DA can be applied in many scenarios that require user privacy protection. To enhance the security of DA, in this paper, we construct a new deniable authenticated encryption (DAE) scheme that realizes deniable authentication and confidentiality in a logical single step. Compared with existing approaches, our approach provides proof of security and is efficient in terms of performance analysis. Our scheme is in an identity-based environment; thus, it avoids the public key certificate-based public key infrastructure (PKI). Moreover, we provide an example that shows that our protocol is applicable for e-voting systems.

  • In this paper, we study the uniform attractor of the 2D nonautonomous tropical climate model in an arbitrary unbounded domain on which the Poincaré inequality holds. We prove that the uniform attractor is compact not only in the L2-spaces but also in the H1-spaces. Our proof is based on the concept of asymptotical compactness. Finally, for the quasiperiodical external force case, the dimension estimates of such a uniform attractor are also obtained.

Formal Validation Method and Tools for French Computerized Railway Interlocking Systems

  • Checks and tests before putting safety facilities into service as well as the results of these tests are essential, time consuming and may show great variations between each other. Economic constraints and the increasing complexity associated with the development of computerized tools tend to limit the capacity of the classic approval process (manual or automatic). A reduction of the validation cover rate could result in practice. This is not compatible with the French national plan to renew the interlocking systems of the national network. The method and the tool presented in this paper makes it possible to formally validate new computerized systems or evolutions of existing French interlocking systems with real-time functional interpreted Petri nets. The aim of our project is to provide SNCF with a method for the formal validation of French interlocking systems. A formal proof method by assertion, which is applicable to industrial automation equipment such as interlocking systems, and which covers equally the specification and its real software implementation, is presented in this paper. With the proposed method we completely verify that the system follows all safety properties at all times and does not show superfluous conditions: it replaces all the indoor checks (not the outdoor checks). The advantages expected are a significant reduction of testing time and of the related costs, an increase of the test coverage rate, an answer to the new demand of railway infrastructure maintenance engineering to modify and validate computerized interlocking systems. Formal methods mastery by infrastructure engineers are surely a key to prove that more safety is not necessarily more expensive.
