  • In line with the increase in consumer demand for mobile games, game companies face stiff competition. For a more successful marketing strategy, many game companies actively adopt Cross Promotion. The Cross Promotion marketing strategy in the mobile game is regarded as a low cost and high efficiency marketing method because the game companies provide new experiences to game users by utilizing existing game infrastructure and absorbing current users of game companies. Despite the advantages of Cross Promotion, there has been little practical study on the relationship between Cross Promotion and mobile game acceptance. Accordingly, the aim of this study was to determine the influential factors of Cross Promotion on the acceptance of mobile games. After reviewing previous research, a structural model was established, a survey was performed and the model was analyzed. The managerial implications are suggested along with the concluding remarks.

  • Many public organizations have been adopting and operating various servers. These servers run on Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems that generally use less than 10% of their capacity. For migrating a public organization to cloud computing, we must first virtualize the server environment. This article proposes a strategy for server virtualization that the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) has done and describes the effects of a public organization migrating to cloud computing. The NIPA Computer Center planned an effective virtualization migration on various servers. This project of virtualization migration was conducted with the existing policy of separate x86 servers and Unix servers. There are three popular approaches to server virtualization: a virtual machine model, a paravirtual machine model, and virtualization at the operating system layer. We selected a VMware solution that uses the virtual machine model. We selected servers for virtualization in the following manner. Servers were chosen that had the highest rate of service usage and CPU usage and had been operating for five years or more. However, we excluded servers that require 80% or greater rates of CPU usage. After adopting the server virtualization technique, we consolidated 32 servers into 3 servers. Virtualization is a technology that can provide benefits in these areas: server consolidation and optimization, infrastructure cost reduction and improved operational flexibility, and implementation of a dual computing environment.

Methods: The subjects were 151 disabled people who had physical disability or brain disorder. They had participated on the physical activity programs which were opened in 13 welfare centers for the disabled of Daegu and Gyeongbuk. The data were collected by the survey for 2 weeks in May, 2011. Results: There were no differences in the satisfaction on physical activity programs by general characteristics and health status. As for cognitive factors, it were significantly different on the satisfaction by the importance of physical activity and the fitness maintenance factor (p<0.05, p<0.01). Significant differences were found in the satisfaction by the participating attitude and the participation motives, such as goal-oriented and activity-oriented motives. It were significantly different on the satisfaction by the duration, frequency per week, time per once, and components in terms of the physical activity program. Conclusions: To revitalize the physical activity-for-all project for the disabled, it needs to develop the strategy and to enhance the health education to improve their health status.

  • This paper attempts to analyze the effects of promotion of natural gas vehicles (NGVs) on LNG storage facilities and load patterns, and to verify economic feasibilities of NGVs as a DSM (Demand-Side Management) strategy. For these purpose, we have established an econometric mode. Results from the model indicate that natural gas demand in transportation sector will increase continuously, having a 7.84% share in total natural gas demand in 2014. By this analysis, the increased use of NGVs can result in a decreased requirement on the volume of around 1.3 LNG tanks lower in 2014. Also, it shows that TDRs can be reduced by 0.4 for the city gas and by 0.15 for the total LNG in 2014. As a conclusion, we suggest that the promotion of NGVs may play an efficient role as a DSM strategy, and should be considered as a promising strategy to optimize the investment needs in LNG sector as well as an environmental protection measures. Lastly, we acknowledge that a transportation module in our model is based on a Korean government's NGVs promotion plan, not on a market function.
