A Study on the Improvement of Science Education With Experimental Model and it's Programming(I) (과학교육 개선을 위한 실험모델 제작에 관한 연구(I))

  • A curriculum for teaching materials in Science Education was studied as a model for modified experiment on fundamental courses. Conscious effort can be made to desingn experiments that require minimum apparatus: that require low-cost equipment that can be made from cheap locally available materials. Computer-aided instruction programs at high school, freshman course level have been developed. The software package was consist of five programs: The program contains explanation and problems for the calculation of resonance energy, molecular structure, mole concept. Rutherford's experiment. thermodynamic processes. Special course equipment package explanation mole concept, Rutherford's experiment, thermodynamic processes. Special course were designed in Science Education with the understanding that to a certain extent science values would be covered in all of the modified experiments and program models.

  • 최근 유치원생과 초등학교 저학년생을 대상으로 프로그래밍 경험을 제공하기 위한 목적으로 다양한 텐저블 프로그래밍 도구들이 개발되고 있다. 개발된 텐저블 프로그래밍 도구들은 순차, 분기, 반복 등의 프로그래밍 개념을 손으로 조립하거나 쌓는 등의 구체적인 조작을 통해 프로그래밍 활동을 체험하도록 설계되었다. 하지만, 텐저블 프그래밍 도구가 순차, 반복, 분기, 변수, 함수 등의 프로그래밍의 개념을 일부만 반영하고 있어 프로그래밍 개념에 대한 체험이 완전하게 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 기존에 개발한 텐저블 프로그래밍 도구인 B-Bricks에 조건에 따른 분기와 반복 개념을 추가하여 설계하는 연구로, B-Bricks를 사용하여 조건문과 반복문을 설계하였다.

Intelligent Support System for Ship Steering Control System Based on Network

  • The important field of research on ship operation is related to the high efficiency of transportation, the convenience of maneuvering ships and the safety of navigation. As a way of practical application for a smart ship based on network system, this paper proposes the intelligent support system for ship steering control system based on TCP/IP and desires to testify the validity of the proposal by applying the fuzzy control model to the steering control system. As the specific study methods, the fuzzy inference was adopted to build the maneuvering models of steersman, and then the network system was implemented using the TCP/IP socket-based programming. Lastly, the miniature model steering control system combined with LIBL (Linguistic Instruction-based Learning) was designed to testify for its effectiveness.

  • 소프트웨어 개발에 있어 가상 프로토타입의 활용은 하드웨어와의 병렬적인 개발 진행, 하드웨어 변경에 따른 신속한 대처, 확장된 디버깅과 벤치마킹 정보 등을 통해 개발 효율을 증대시킨다. 본 논문은 ARM을 기반하는 시스템의 소프트웨어 개발을 위한 가상 프로토타입 구현에 대해 다룬다. ARM사의 ADS1.2에서 제공하는 ARMulator의 Instruction Set Simulator를 기반하여 소프트웨어 개발자 관점의 추상화 수준으로 System-on-chip인 삼성 S3C2400의 축소된 형태를 가정하여 가상 프로토타입을 설계 및 구현하였다.

Design and Development of Robot Command Card for Coding Learning

  • In this paper, we propose a design and development of instructional cards to understand the grammar of coding, solving the problems and extending the computational thinking in the robot-driven environment. First, we designed the input/output module of the robot to process the coding grammar through the function analysis of the robot. And we designed the module of command card to learn coding grammar using color sensors. We have proven the validity of the designed instruction card by examining the experts to see if it is suitable for coding grammar learning. Designed robot and command card were developed with 28 cards and sensor robot. After applying the developed robot and command card to the elementary school students, the questionnaire showed that students grow the understanding and confidence of coding. In addition, students showed an increased need for programming learning.

  • 인터넷 기반 분야가 다양화 되고 있는 가운데 교육 분야 또한 웹 활용 교육(WBI, Web Based Instruction)이 시대 흐름을 타고 그 활용도가 높아지고 있다. 인터넷을 통한 교실 중심의 획일적인 교육 분위기에서 벗어나 교육 컨텐츠 수요자 개개인의 자율성을 반영하는 것이 가능한 매체는 드물다. 교육 분야 가운데 특히 공학 교육은 해당 분야에 관한 특수성과 전문성이 요구되어 수요자 중심의 효과적인 교육 컨텐츠 개발에 어려운 요소로 작동한다. 이렇듯 유연한 매체를 이용함에 있어서 게슈탈트 시지각 이론을 적용함으로써 좀더 효과적인 WBI 활용을 유도하는 것은 자원 이용율 측면 및 학업성취도를 높이는데 기여할 수 있겠다. 이에 본 논문에서는 공학 교육을 위한 게슈탈트 시지각 이론 기반 WBI 시스템을 설계하고자 한다.

An Exploration of IT Convergence Methods for School Forests Education (초, 중등 학교 숲 활용 교육을 위한 IT 융합 방안 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore educational methods for elementary, middle and high schools using school forests via IT convergence. To this aim, we reviewed the previous literature on education using school forests to identify the problems with the existing education using school forests, and conducted interviews with experts to analyze the demands. we proposed an educational method that can utilize the school forests via IT convergence, and explored its validity through content reviews conducted by experts. The findings of this study are as follows. First, we proposed the IT convergence instruction focused on hands-on activities on top of the existing educational contents. Second, we proposed IT convergence instruction that incorporates diverse materials, physical computing tools, and programming tools. Third, we presented methods for utilizing such IT convergence instruction in connection with various elements of the 2015 Revised Curriculum as well as with various other activities such as middle school free semester activities and after-school activities. The school forest is a crucial learning space for the areas related to agriculture and biotechnology. Thus, we anticipate that the IT convergence instruction proposed in this study will lead to the re-discovery and re-evaluation of a value of school forests as an educational space that contributes to fulfilling the objective of the 2015 Revised Curriculum to nurture creative convergent talent.

Study on the Teaching/Learning Methodology in WBI (웹 기반 학습에서의 교수-학습 방법에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we develope a WBI(Web Base Instruction) program to do the student oriented learning using WWW and analyze the result. The 127 students who took part in the experiment were divided into two groups, an experimental group of 85 subjects and a comparative group of 42 subjects. This experiment was performed for four periods, and a formative test was conducted to measure achievement for two groups. The average and the standard deviation of scores for the experimental group are 84.9 and 16.82 respectively, and the comparative group 77.5 and 14.39. Experimental results shows that the academic achievement for the experimental group is more significant than that of the comparative group at the 0.0024(P$\le$0.05)of the result "t-test" under the 91~95$\%$ confidence interval of the level of significance. This fact says that practicing the WBI programming has an effect on the improvement of the students' academic achievement.hievement.

Design of Architecture of Programmable Stack-based Video Processor with VHDL (VHDL을 이용한 프로그램 가능한 스택 기반 영상 프로세서 구조 설계)

  • The main goal of this paper is to design a high performance SVP(Stack based Video Processor) for network applications. The SVP is a comprehensive scheme; 'better' in the sense that it is an optimal selection of previously proposed enhancements of a stack machine and a video processor. This can process effectively object-based video data using a S-RISC(Stack-based Reduced Instruction Set Computer) with a semi -general-purpose architecture having a stack buffer for OOP(Object-Oriented Programming) with many small procedures at running programs. And it includes a vector processor that can improve the MPEG coding speed. The vector processor in the SVP can execute advanced mode motion compensation, motion prediction by half pixel and SA-DCT(Shape Adaptive-Discrete Cosine Transform) of MPEG-4. Absolutors and halfers in the vector processor make this architecture extensive to a encoder. We also designed a VLSI stack-oriented video processor using the proposed architecture of stack-oriented video decoding. It was designed with O.5$\mu\textrm{m}$ 3LM standard-cell technology, and has 110K logic gates and 12 Kbits SRAM internal buffer. The operating frequency is 50MHz. This executes algorithms of video decoding for QCIF 15fps(frame per second), maximum rate of VLBV(Very Low Bitrate Video) in MPEG-4.

Construction of a Compiled-code Simulator Generation System for Efficient Design Exploration in Embedded Core Design (임베디드 코어 설계시 효율적인 설계 공간 탐색을 위한 컴파일드 코드 방식 시뮬레이터 생성 시스템 구축)

  • This paper proposes a compiled-code simulator generation system based-on machine description language for efficient design space exploration in designing an embedded system optimized for a specific application. The proposed system generates a compiled-code simulator which maintains the functional accuracy of an event-driven simulator by determining instruction fetch and decoding processes statically. Generated simulator takes instruction-level and cycle-level simulation for estimating performances in embedded core. To show the efficiency of the constructed compiled-code simulator generator, architecture exploration had been performed for the JPEG encoder application. Starting with MIPS R3000 processor for one embedded core, the proposed system can produce the core showing optimized execution time for the application programming. In this process, a huge amount of simulation time has been used. Cycle-level compiled-code simulator has the functional accuracy and shows performance improvement by 21.7% in terms of simulation speed on the average when compared with an event-driven simulator.
