This study intended to determine how price-ending types used for menu products affected consumers' price evaluation and value perception and such behavioral intentions as purchase intention and search intention. The collected data went through statistical processing, including frequency analysis, factor analysis, T-test and ANOVA using an $SPSS/PC^+$ 12.0 statistical package. The results can be summarized as follows: First, as for differences in internal reference price by ending, internal reference price was lower if menu ending was an odd number than it was an even number, which indicates that consumers tend to consider the price of the menu products to be lower if the ending of menu products is an odd number. Second, menu price-ending was found to have significant differences on consumers' purchase intention, search intention, and value perception. But the results of two-way ANOVA showed that price ending by restaurant types had no effect on consumers' search intention and restaurant type. This study suggested a desirable external reference price-ending type for menu products as one of sales promotion strategies to menu products planners and drew up a concrete plan to determine which price-ending type is useful by consumers' personal properties.
As an important factor of capitalism economics, price of commodities represents a certain country's economic index. For having correct price policy, there should be an appropriate mechanism to make and use systematic statistical data on price. Price statistics are made by indexes and price indexes are categorized into producer price index(PPI) and consumer price index(CPI). The Bank of Korea is publishing producer price index every year, but the producer price index contains some problems. These include as follows : (a) the impractical selection of fisheries products sample (b) uncorrect measure of aquatic products weights (c) investigating sample places. This study try to substitute producer price index of aquatic products and change construction of fisheries producer price index with experimental research on representative fisheries, weight of each fisheries, and suitability of investigating sample places. It is possible to improve practical fisheries producer price index with the results of this research. The findings are as follow. (a) It will be helpful for the government to make the fisheries price policy. (b) It can be used to understand trends of accurate price and price increase of aquatic products, and it's possible to compare with it other industrial indexes including the mining, agricultural, and manufacturing industry and understand relative price movement. (c) When free sales systems of fisheries products as expected, it will be helpful to analyze price movement of producing fisheries cooperatives, producing fisheries market and consuming fisheries market, analysis of market, and formation and consideration of budget. (d) It can be an important index to determine labor wage.
The aim of this study was to examine price sensitivity of industrial products purchased via a group buying system and how industrial products for a group buying system differ from general industrial products, and then identify the major factors in selecting products and the important determinants in purchasing industrial products for school foodservices. The survey was conducted with 250 dietitians (teachers) in Gyeonggi-do Province, who were using industrial products for a group buying system and general industrial products. A paired t-test showed a difference in satisfaction between industrial products for a group buying system and general industrial products by factors, while statistically significant differences were found for red pepper paste, fermented soybean paste and soy sauce in all nine satisfaction factors, including product quality, packaging state, labeling, hygiene, item diversity, specification diversity, price appropriateness and supply. Moreover, analyzing price sensitivity for industrial products for a group buying system, using the PSM method with respect to the issue of high price, showed that the respondents considered that the current unit purchase prices were high for all items investigated. This study suggests that schools would purchase more industrial products for a group buying system, when the pricing of the products are considered with the purchase intention of dietitians (teachers).
Price acceptability has become an important issue in the current fashion market. This study explored diverse factors that affect price acceptability (level of acceptable price and range of acceptable price). Stimuli photos of fashion products (i.e., bag, shoes, and jacket) were developed and used for online experiments with 3,000 female consumers. Important results included factors that affected the price acceptability of fashion products were price-quality relation, price concern, and product attribute perception. The results showed that female consumers depended more on price-quality relations, more positively perceived product attributes, and were less sensitive to price; in addition, they tended to have a higher level of acceptable price as well as a wider range of acceptable price for fashion products. These results were consistent across all experiments with different fashion items (i.e., bag, shoes, and jacket). Based on the results, factors that influence the price acceptability were revealed. Marketing practitioners need to more actively consider implying advertising strategies that emphasize the advancement of product attributes such as quality for highpriced products.

They utilized information from the internet to buy products with good quality and showed high usage level of coupons. And, university students who buy at a least price tried to show dignity with expensive brand products and they consider those brands express self-confidence.
This study classifies vanity into groups, analyzes age differences and categorizes price attitudes toward apparel products. Questionnaires were administered to 461 college students living in Daegu City and Kyungbok province. Data were collected using frequency, factor analysis, cluster analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, ANOVA, Duncan-test, and t-test. The findings were as follows. College student vanity was classified into three groups of appearance/ achievement pride, low vanity, and appearance/achievement concern. Vanity showed a significant correlation with sub-variables of age difference and price attitude towards apparel products. Appearance pride and achievement concern (sub-variables of vanity) had a significant effect on the conspicuous of price attitude toward apparel products. Appearance pride and Appearance concern (sub-variables of vanity) had a significant effect on information of price attitude toward apparel products. Gender of college students showed a distinction insub-variables of vanity factors such as appearance concern and price attitude toward apparel products such as information, quality, and using coupons. Male students were distinct in look and health as well as age differences by group; female students were distinct in age perception differences (a sub-variable of age difference). This study was designed to find out the effects of country-of-origin and price on the perceived quality, perceived value and purchase willingness of t-shirt products. This study will allow marketers to find the target consumers and to choose both the suitable country -of -origin and the reasonable selling price. This study was based on theoretical and empirical methods. For the empirical methodology, 3${\times}$3 between subjects factorial design with country-of-origin (U.S.A. vs. Korea vs. China) and price(high price vs. middle price vs. low price) was used. The nine types surveys by country-of-origin and price were transmitted to 960 undergraduate and graduate school students in Seoul. A total of 912 questionnaires were used in the final statistical analyses using factor analysis, MANOVA, Duncan test, and Tukey test. The results of this study were as follows: First, in the case of the perceived quality, participants evaluated t-shirt products better when the origin is U.S.A. followed by Korea and China in the order. Second, price affected the perceived value and purchase willingness. In the perceived value and purchase willingness, low priced t-shirt products were evaluated higher than the middle and high priced ones. Third, in the perceived quality, high priced Korean t-shirt products were evaluated lower than high and middle priced American t-shin products. In the perceived value, low priced Chinese t-shirt products were evaluated lower than middle priced Korean t-shirt products. In the purchase willingness, low priced American and low priced Korean t-shirt products and middle priced Korean t-shirt products were evaluated higher than all priced Chinese t-shirt products.
The multi-faceted influence of price on consumers' purchasing process of apparel products: Relationships with attitudinal and behavioral variables Price has a significant relationship to clothing products not only because of its practical, emotional and symbolic attributes but also because of its wide range and frequent changes. The purpose of this study was to identify the multi-faceted influence of price on consumers' purchasing process of clothing products. Six types of price-perceptions were related to various attitudinal and behavioral variables in a clothing purchase. A questionnaire was developed and data were collected from 720 adult women living in Seoul. Factor analysis, multiple regression, t-test and canconical correlation were employed to analyze the data. Low price consciousness was negatively related to product-oriented aspects of clothing and effected the one-price sale, visiting public markets and using interpersonal sources of price information. Value for money consciousness was positively related to product-oriented aspects of clothing and consumers' age or marriage and effected price considerations at the on-purchase and post-purchase stage. Price-quality inference was related to product-oriented and market-oriented aspects of clothing while price-prestige inference was related to visual and symbolic aspects of clothing and effected normal-price purchasing. Sale proneness was related to market-oriented aspects of clothing and effected seasonal sale price purchasing and price mavenism was related to market-oriented and visual aspects of clothing and effected price considerations at the pre-purchase stage.
Purpose: Previous literature shows that a price promotion serves as a negative cue of product quality especially when consumers have no additional information about the product's other attributes. In this research, we explore how the effect of price promotions on consumers' perceptions of product quality changes depending on their ability to compare promoted product attributes with competitive products' attributes. Research design, data and methodology: Specifically, we use a series of scenario-based lab experiments using different types of products and explore if attribute alignability among competing products in a consumer's choice set influences consumers' ability to compare the product attributes and perceived quality. Results: Our study findings show that high attribute alignability among products makes consumers easier to compare the product attributes and thereby focus more on non-price information than price information. We also show that attribute alignability serves as a moderator and decreases perceived quality when the promotion level is higher. Therefore, the attribute alignability weakens the negative impact of a price promotion on consumers' perceived product quality. Conclusions: Our study findings provide new insights on how to implement price promotion strategies while keeping products' perceived quality, by considering the product's relationships with competing products in a choice set.
The objective of this study is to analyze the value of attributes of agricultural products in school food service using hedonic price model and choice experiment. In the case of potatoes, bean sprouts, and tomatoes, environment-friendly agricultural products rather than conventional ones, and domestic price premiums exist rather than Chungnam. The higher the price, the higher the margin rate. Conventional agricultural products were more profitable than environment-friendly ones, and domestic products were more profitable than Chungnam. In consumer preferences, environment-friendly agricultural products are preferred over conventional agricultural products and local products (Chungnam, Cheonan, Asan) rather than domestic ones. This is the opposite result of the Hedonic price model estimation that Chungnam has a lower price premium than domestic in the case of origin. This study is meaningful by analyzing the attribute value of agricultural products used for school meals in Chungnam and comparing them with the willingness to pay consumers. With the results of this study, it is necessary that discussions on supplementing the value of local products used in Chungnam school food service.
