  • This study aims to examine the effects of team member characteristics(change reception, work understand) and team process(potency, social support, workload sharing, communication and cooperation within the team) to team effectiveness(job commitment, job satisfaction and productivity), As the result, both team member characteristics and team process have positive relations with team effectiveness.

Measuring Korea's Industry-level Productivity Change Due to Tariff Cuts using a CGE Model

  • Purpose - This study examined the effect of tariff cuts on productivity in Korea's manufacturing industries and the effect of initial productivity level before tariff cuts on productivity improvement after tariff cuts. We also attempted to identify whether import-driven or export-driven factors are more important for productivity improvement, especially in low productivity industries. Design/methodology - Since tariff reduction is a policy decision that can affect cross-industry, its impact is spread across all industries beyond the scope of a single firm through the input and output network of industry structure. Accordingly, we proposed a new method to measure the change in productivity to reflect the impact of tariff cuts across industries. Through an Armington CGE analysis, changes in endogenous variables can be directly measured after the exogenous shock of tariff reduction, and the amount of movements in productivity triggered by tariff cuts can also be calculated. We can thus assess the effectiveness of exogenous policy, such as tariff cuts, through the difference between the benchmark and counterfactual values of endogenous variables. Findings - This study confirmed that tariff reduction positively affected productivity improvement in Korea's manufacturing industries. It also confirmed that productivity gains occur in Korea's leading export industries. Finally, greater productivity gains were recorded in the group with additional high-export-share or high-import-share conditions for low productivity industries. These results are, in a limited sense, consistent with the existing studies that emphasize the importance of exports and imports on productivity improvement, especially for low productivity industries. Originality/value - The results of our experiments are different from those of non-CGE studies, which measure the industry-level change in productivity with dummy coefficients, in terms of directly calculating the amount of change in productivity. In addition, we propose that the Armington CGE model is more appropriate than the Melitz CGE model to directly measure the productivity after tariff cuts. This is because the Melitz CGE model assumes the given specific productivity density, which does not change after an overall drop of tariffs. To the best of our knowledge, this approach to directly calculating productivity by reflecting the impact of tariff reduction across industries through CGE analysis, is unprecedented in this literature.

  • When various construction types of architectural construction are proceeded in order, the reinforced concrete construction is the frame construction which takes up the most important proportion among the construction process. Thus, the analysis of the effectiveness and productivity of the reinforced concrete construction is necessarily needed for smooth performance of construction projects. However, the conventional studies are performing the analysis of the productivity of only part(mould and steel) of the reinforced concrete construction and they have limitation in that they do not propose quantitatively the overall productivity of reinforced concrete construction.

  • The assembly of the modular housing is an important phase in the construction of pre-fabricated houses. However, the assembly tools that are commonly used in a work site have a disadvantage of decreasing the productivity and the quality. We have developed a exclusive tool for assembling modular parts. The structural stability of the developed tool has been verified in the previous studies. However, the experimental analysis was not conducted. This study analyzed the effect of improving the productivity and quality of the developed assembly tool. The result of the experimental analysis shows improvements in productivity and quality compared to the conventional assembly tool.

  • 안전하지 못한 환경은 작업속도를 지연시키고, 사고 발생 시 대응에 많은 시간을 소요하게 하여 건설공사의 생산성을 크게 저하시킨다. 반면, 지나친 안전관리를 오히려 생산성 저해 요인으로 지적하는 연구도 존재한다. 따라서 건설공사의 생산성을 저해하지 않는 적절한 안전관리는 성공적 공사 수행에 매우 중요한 요인이나, 안전관리와 생산성 상호 간 미치는 영향이 복잡하기에 이에 대한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 시스템 다이내믹스를 활용하여 안전 관리와 생산성 영향 요인 간의 인과 모델을 구축하고, 효율성 지표를 통한 생산성 측정 및 분석을 진행한다. 이를 통해 과다 인원 투입으로 인한 현장 혼잡도 증가, 비정기적 안전 조치 및 비효율적 초과근무가 실제 작업에 투입되는 시간에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 안전관리와 생산성의 상호 영향성에 대한 기초 연구인 본 연구의 결과물은, 적정 생산성 확보 가능한 안전관리 방안 수립의 기반으로서 건설산업 경쟁력 제고에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

직무 스트레스와 조직풍토가 간호사의 조직 효과성에 미치는 영향 (The effect of job stress and organizational climate on the organizational effectiveness of hospital nurses)

  • Purpose : The purposes of this study is twofold: (a) to investigate the effect of job stress and organizational climate on the organizational effectiveness of hospital nurses, and (2) to examine the moderating effect of organizational climate on job stress. Method : Three organizational effectiveness variables(e .g., job satisfaction, organizational committment and group productivity) as outcomes variables were examined. The sample consisted of 602 nurses from 5 general hospitals affiliated university. Data were collected with self-administrated questionnaires and analyzed using hierarchical regression. Results : It was found that: (a) seven job stress variables(e. g., workload, role conflict, schedule, lack of knowledge, conflict with superior, conflict with other personnel and conflict with patients) have negative effect on job satisfaction and organizational committment; (b) organizational climate have positive main effects on job satisfaction and organizational committment; (c) the negative effects of job stress variables on job satisfaction and organizational committment are not moderated by organizational climate. Conclusion : Organizational climate mediates the effects of job stress on group productivity, but the size of the mediating effects was small. Various outcome variables need to be discussed further research.

  • Most studies of organizational effectiveness previously done, have measured financial performance such as productivity, efficiency or subjective performance such as a commitment, satisfaction, and turnover intention of employees. However, these measurements have limitations to evaluate a organizational effectiveness in recent knowledge information era because evaluation of organizational effectiveness in knowledge-based society needs measurements in various aspects such as financial, customer, internal business process, and learning and growth. The purpose of this study is to overcome these problems and to introduce an appropriate system for evaluation of organizational effectiveness under knowledge management paradigm. In this paper, we suggest a Balanced Scorecard(BSC) as a new measurement standard of organizational effectiveness in a knowledge information era. The balanced scorecard is designed to help firms that have historically overemphasized short-term financial performance. When measuring organizational effectiveness through Balanced Scorecard(BSC) suggested by Kaplan and Norton[31], it is to present the measurement indices that can cover the limitation of the past evaluation indices of organizational effectiveness.

  • 본 연구는 자동차정비 서비스업체에 근무하는 종업원들을 대상으로 하여 기업의 성과보상제도가 조직유효성 및 동기부여에 미치는 영향, 조직유효성 및 동기부여가 기업성과에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하는 것이다. 설문조사를 통해서 확보한 430부의 설문지를 연구에 활용하였다. 연구가설의 검정결과 먼저 유형적 보상은 직무만족에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치지만 무형적 보상은 직무만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치지만 유의하지 않았다. 또한 유형적 보상과 무형적 보상은 조직몰입과 동기부여에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 직무만족은 생산성과 서비스품질에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 그러나 조직몰입은 생산성에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치지만 서비스품질에는 정(+)의 영향을 미치지만 유의하지는 않았다. 마지막으로 동기부여는 생산성과 서비스 품질에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 연구결과를 통하여 성과보상제도, 조직유효성 및 동기부여, 기업성과 간의 관계구조를 파악하였으며, 자동차 산업에서 종업원들에 대한 성과보상 제도의 적용방안에 대하여 제시하였다.

융합시대를 위한 보육교사의 다문화수용성이 조직효과성에 미치는 연구: 다문화역량의 매개효과 (A Study on the Organization Effectiveness of Multi-cultural Acceptability of Childcare Teachers' for Convergence Period: The Mediation Effect of Multicultural Capabilities)

  • 본 연구는 보육교사의 다문화수용성이 다문화역량을 매개로 조직효과성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 밝히는 목적으로 서울시 C대학교에 재학 중인 보육교사 327명을 임의표집하여 설문조사를 하였고, IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0을 활용하여 통계처리 하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 다문화차별성과 다문화지식간의 관계, 국민정체성, 다문화차별성, 세계시민행동의지와 다문화인식간의 관계, 다문화지식과 조직적응성간의 관계, 다문화인식과 조직적응성, 조직생산성간의 관계, 국민정체성과 조직생산성간의 관계, 다문화차별성과 조직생산성간의 관계, 세계시민행동의지와의 관계에서 정적인 관계가 있었고, 이중적평가간의 관계는 부적인 관계가 있었다. 둘째. 다문화인식만 조직적응성과 조직생산성에 영향을 미침으로 매개효과가 나타났다. 따라서 융합시대에 어린이집의 조직효과성을 향상시키기 위해서는 조직효과성의 하위요인인 조직적응성, 조직생산성과 연계하여 다문화인식에 관련된 교육프로그램이 보육교사들에게 필요하다.

한국 정유산업의 학습곡선과 생산성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Learning Curve and Productivity)

  • The learning curve has an important effect the growth of corporation. But, in Korea, the study and inference on the learning rate of each industry are unprepared, and so, Korean industires have difficult in productivity and cost. At this point, this study infers the learning rate of the oil industries and investigates the productivity and growth of them. In conclusion, this study presents the direction of the oil industries' development. With the intention of this objects, this study seizes the status which is concerned the total quantity, the operating rate, the plant capacity, the indicators concerning productivity, the investment of R & D and the scales, and then, infers and verifies the relevancy in connection with the learning rate. In the oil industry, the average rate of learning is 65.96% from 1982 to 1994 which the total quantity and the average operation time are used to infer the rate. To observe the low rate within a same period of time, this study takes the consequences that the learning rate is almost indentical with them each year. This steady state is caused by a difference between the employee and the decision maker about the acquirement and assimiliated of technology. When the high-quality technologies posses the environment to applicate in the scene of labor with them, this technology applies to the productivities. As the learning rate increases, the productivity has more effectiveness. The result of analysis about the effectiveness of the learning rate follows that the R & D unfoldes to exist and does not contribute to the growth of the oil industry. To analyze the variables of the growth, such as the learning rate, the investement of R & D, the operating rate and the gross value added to property, plant and equipment, the model is established and examined. The business strategy in the oil industry must be developed to achive the internal growth as well as the external.
