An Injection Molding Process Management System based on Mobile Augmented Reality (모바일 증강현실 기반 사출성형공정 관리시스템)

  • Augmented reality is a novel human-machine interaction that overlays virtual computer-generated information on a real world environment. It has found good potential applications in many fields, such as training, surgery, entertainment, maintenance, assembly, product design and other manufacturing operations. In this study, a smartphone-based augmented reality system was developed for the purpose of monitoring and managing injection molding production lines. Required management items were drawn from a management content analysis, and then the items were divided into two broad management categories: line management and equipment management. Effective work management was enabled by providing those working on the shop floor with management content information combined with the actual images of an injection molding production line through augmented reality.

  • The usable output of glassware formation production line depends, among other factors, on the weight and shape of a lump of hot molten glass called a gob. In this paper, an automated image processing system for monitoring gob weight and shape on a production line is proposed. Present techniques often rely on manual weighing of gobs on a sample basis by manually controlling the gob feeder. The proposed automated image monitoring system checks the weight and shape of every free-falling gob before it reaches the mould. In this system, the estimated weight of the gob is sufficiently close to its actual weight.

  • This is a study on I/O materials management system of production line. They usually use bar code in existing materials management systems but there we many difficult factors. If RFID technic is applied to I/O materials management system, we can manage information of materials efficiently, and save time and cost by decreasing works. In this paper, for I/O materials management system of production line, I/O materials management system, warehousing processor, deiver processor, raise processor, material requirement processor and processor, Also we verify these processors in a point of user view.

  • We developed a on-line gas control system for three gas components and investigated the effect of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and ethylene on polysaccharide production and cell growth in the suspension cultures of Aloe saponaria. Carbon dioxide(5% v/v) enhanced significantly polysaccharide production while the cell growth was not affected.

  • ALA is an essential intermediate in the tetrapyrrole biosynthesis pathway and has applications as a biodegradable herbicide and insecticide as well as medical applications including photodynamic therapy of cancers. For the development of mass production process of ALA it is necessary to on-line monitor some metabolites such as glycine, succinate, LA and ALA. In this work, medium compositions, pH conditions, induction and addition of LA were investigated to increase the production of ALA by recombinant E. coli. A 2-dimensional fluorescence sensor was used to monitor the processe and the fluorescence spectra were correlated with on- and off-line data like ALAS, ALAD, cell mass etc.

  • A mixture experiment is a special type of response surface experiment in which the factors are the ingredients or components of a mixture, and the response is a function of the proportions of each ingredient. Evolutionary operation is useful to improve on-line full-scale manufacturing processes by systematically changing the levels of the process variables without jeopardizing the product. This paper presents an evolutionary operation procedure for large-scale mixture production processes based on simplex search procedure, which can be beneficial to practitioners who should improve on-line mixture process quality while meeting the production schedule of the mixture product.

  • An automatic Q. C. tester for a production line of electric grinder is developed using vibration signals. The methods of measuring and analyzing the vibration signals are found through several experiments at laboratory and production line. The experiments show that checking a vibration signal at running condition only, without any sound signal, is enough to judge whether the product is good or not. The Q. C. tester is made of accelerometer and PC. Measured vibration signal using accelerometer is transmitted to PC through A/D board. Vibration level are calculated using FFT algorithm in PC for already selected five frequency bands, which can specify the cause of fault. The Judging criteria of vibration levels of each bands are decided through a lot of experiment with the comparison of manual judgement.

  • Co-cured composite materials has its own characteristics, so its thermal expansion is different each other. The selection of tool material for co-cured composite part in high temperature more over $350^{circ}F$ and 50 Psi pressure have to consider part thermal expansion, size, shape, and economic aspect in production line. So it is important choose tooling material in manufacturing composite parts. We called the tool for airplane composite parts as BAJ (Bonding Assembly Jig). Composite parts are cured on the BAJ in autoclave. BAJ have to stable at high temperature over $350^{circ}F$ and 50 Psi pressure, Considering composite parts' dimensional tolerance compare to heat up in autoclave. This paper come from the results of the experiment at the composite parts production line and review other aircraft company's method for tooling This is for the engineer engaged in composite parts manufacturing.
