  • Quality management has become an pervasive philosophy in most sectors of business. Specific movements such as statistical quality control, quality circle, total quality management, and quality management system have become embedded in business organizations. Only the companies with competitive edge can survive in the competition in global market. KSA(Korean Standards Association) established in 1962 has launched all kinds of quality education, quality standard certification service for business, and KNQA(Korean National Quality Award) system. This article considers quality competitiveness excellent company award among KNQA. We performed a statistical analysis of audit data for quality competitiveness excellent company for three years, from 2015 to 2017. By using ANOVA and two sample t-tests, the average scores of 13 evaluation fields were significantly different depending on company size and type. We proposed ways to improve the current hall of fame system. We discovered that the average scores of 13 evaluation fields in the audit data according to years and hall of fame status were not significantly different. We also showed linear relationships among 13 evaluation fields by correlation analysis and obtained an estimated linear regression equation : Business Performance, which is a comprehensive index, as a dependent variable was significantly related to Customer Focus and Product Liability as regressor variables among 13 evaluation fields by regression analysis.

  • NDF (No Defect Found) is a phenomenon in which defects have been found in the manufacturing, operation and use of a product or facility, but phenomenon of defects is not reproduced in the subsequent investigation system or the cause of the defects cannot be identified. Recently, with the development of the fourth industrial revolution, convergence of hardware and software technologies in various fields is spreading to products such as aircraft, home appliances, and mobile devices, and the number of parts is increasing due to functional convergence. The application of such convergence technologies and the increase in the number of parts are major factors that lead to an increase in NDF phenomena. NDF phenomena have a significant negative impact on cost, reliability, and reliability for both manufacturers, service providers and operators. On the other hand, due to the nature of NDF phenomena such as difficult and intermittent cause identification and ambiguity in judgment, it is common to underestimate the cost of NDF or fail to take appropriate countermeasures in corporate management. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a methodology for estimating NDF costs by the PAF model which is a quality cost analysis model and ABC (Activity Based Costing) technique. The methodology of this study suggests a detailed procedure and the concept to accurately estimate the NDF costs, using ABC analysis, accounting system information, and IT system data. In addition case studies have validated the methodology. We think this could be a valid methodology to refer to when estimating the cost of other parts. And, it is meaningful to provide important judgment information in the decision-making process based on quality management and ultimately reduce NDF costs by visualizing them separately by major variable factors.

  • Most of product designers use 3D CAD system as a inevitable design tool nowadays and many new products are developed through a concurrent engineering process. However, it is very difficult for novice designers to get the sense of reality from modeling objects shown in the computer screens. Such a intangibility problem comes from the lack of haptic interactions and contextual information about the real space because designers tend to do 3D modeling works only in a virtual space of 3D CAD system. To address this problem, this research investigate the possibility of a interactive quantified structure simulation for product design using AR(augmented reality) which can register a 3D CAD modeling object on the real space. We built a quantified structure simulation system based on AR and conducted a series of experiments to measure how accurately human perceive and adjust the size of virtual objects under varied experimental conditions in the AR environment. The experiment participants adjusted a virtual cube to a reference real cube within 1.3% relative error(5.3% relative StDev). The results gave the strong evidence that the participants can perceive the size of a virtual object very accurately. Furthermore, we found that it is easier to perceive the size of a virtual object in the condition of presenting plenty of real reference objects than few reference objects, and using LCD panel than HMD. We tried to apply the simulation system to identify preference characteristics for the appearance design of a home-service robot as a case study which explores the potential application of the system. There were significant variances in participants' preferred characteristics about robot appearance and that was supposed to come from the lack of typicality of robot image. Then, several characteristic groups were segmented by duster analysis. On the other hand, it was interesting finding that participants have significantly different preference characteristics between robot with arm and armless robot and there was a very strong correlation between the height of robot and arm length as a human body.

The results are as follows: Firstly, the profit organs like manufacturing companies shows more positive than non-profit in comparison with human resource management of each organs. And a local government and public enterprise which is non-profit show to recognize human resource management is insufficient on th whole. Secondly, perception level of a medical institution, educational institution and service industry about aromaticity of human resource management by global standard shows to be positive, but the local government negative. Thirdly, the profit organ in the recognition of human resource management about details practice too, shows to be positive, while non-profit negative. Fourth, the result which compares and analyzes management performance between the similar industry overall show to recognize positive, but public enterprise negative about product, service performance and human resource management. Fifthly, the details practice of human resource administration shows to influence meaningly to all management performance. Therefore, all organizations will positively confront human resource management, make the circumstance of organization through systematic program, and promote the management performance of the organization.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the utilization, recognition, and satisfaction of environment-friendly agricultural products (EAPs) in school food services according to the type of foodservice in the Jeonbuk area. Among the 270 school food service providers evaluated, 56.3% of the schools were located in an urban area and 43.7% were in a rural area. About 80% of urban schools used the EAPs for school foodservice, and 89.8% in rural schools (p<.05). The purchase frequency of grain (p<.01), fruits (p<.05), and processed foods (e.g. Tofu) (p<.001) was significantly different between the urban and rural schools. The perception of school dietitians in urban and rural schools between the EAPs and general agricultural products was significantly different (p<.05). The most different fact was 'safety' (p<.001). Most school dietitians has a gut understanding and a lot of confidence about the system of EAPs (p<0.01). The satisfaction score with EAPs was 3.35; in the urban schools it was 3.36 and in the rural schools 3.12 (p<.01). The satisfaction with EAPs in urban and rural schools was significantly different with regard to several factors; these were 'design' (p<.05), 'color' (p<.001), 'fresh' (p<.001), and 'diversity' (p<.01). There are conflicting views between the urban and rural schools for the additional costs brought by using EAPs (p<.01). In conclusion, our central and local governments should change their roles in financially positive ways and reflect the issue to make the policy effective.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the variables that lead consumers to visit traditional markets and buy market goods. Thus, the current research examined the relationship between satisfaction and return intention as among the factors influencing loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology - This study was conducted to examine the effects of the perceived level of factors on loyalty and how it influenced consumers' visits to traditional markets in 125 adult adolescents and women living in Mok-po area. The results of the questionnaire were obtained. The statistical data of the questionnaire were verified by SPSS. Results - In this study, consumers' perception level of eight loyalty factors can be perceived by the traditional Korean market. The empirical analysis is summarized as follows. First, by selecting five representative variables influencing intention to return to traditional markets, Mok-po area consumers were affected by the intention to revisit according to the intensity of recognition level among these variables. Second, the higher the perceived level of product price, quality of access (accessibility) among the factors that consumers perceive as important factors in visiting traditional markets were heightened. Third, Mokpo residents are aware of the main important factors of visiting the market such as receiving a friendly atmosphere (image) about traditional market, market environment (hygiene and cleanliness), connection with the local economy, and customer service such as kindness, refund and return. These loyalty factors did not affect consumers' intention to revisit. In other words, image, environment, regional economic linkage, and these factors did not have a positive effect on revisit intention. Conclusions - The empirical analysis of this study suggests that factors that directly affect loyalty among the key factors that play a major role in visiting traditional markets should be identified and developed as loyalty factors. It is necessary to identify the key factors influencing the satisfaction and loyalty of traditional market users, and operate a system that systematically and comprehensively manages and evaluates them. In order to do this, the government, the local governments, and related organizations should regularly conduct loyalty and satisfaction surveys on visa recognition levels and establish strategies for dramatic improvement measures.
