A Study on the Development Strategy of Product Brand Using Local Agricultural Products Period

  • The purpose of this study was to develop hand creams among the types of cosmetics based on domestic pumpkins grown in Yangju. Pumpkins are mostly used for cooking, but because they contain a large amount of vitamin A, they can also be used as raw materials for cosmetics to prevent skin aging. The final design was researched and developed through a graphic expression of pumpkin characteristics, a design process, and a survey on preference for differentiated packaging design. The survey targets women in their 20s and 30s who directly purchase cosmetics, and an analysis of consumers' preference for brand product decisions showed that simple and modern designs suitable for cosmetics images topped the list. In addition, it showed a positive image of cosmetics development using local agricultural products and high brand value. We present the possibility that domestic pumpkin raw materials can be applied to cosmetics and aim to develop excellent cosmetics brands through consumer preference surveys.

  • Today enterprises are bringing forward the strong needs for the Global Work Space that is able to realize the collaboration of the virtual enterprise in order to achieve the rapid entrance to market, the quality improvement as well as the cost reduction of their new products. Especially, they are building the efficient Product Management Infrastructure in parallel with the real-time knowledge management for the information generated in the course of a product lifecycle and the Process Innovation making the Concurrent Engineering possible. Building a system in the web environment cannot be the entire effort to realize the Global Work Space within an enterprise that is an essential factor for the reduction of a product development period which in turn contributes to Time to Market. Various work models and processes are found in enterprises and many different application programs are developed and utilized to support these. This study proposes a scheme for the optimized Collaborative Workflow System Architecture that is able to take in and apply various application programs accompanied by the product development work process. Through this, we are to examine various limits and problems existing in the real-time collaborative system between enterprises and to reform these.

Modeling and Analysis of Warranty Cost for 2D-Policies Associated with Sale of Second-hand Products

  • The market for second hand products has been growing for a variety of reasons (e.g., new products appearing at a faster rate and the expected life of products increasing due to rapid advances in technology). The demand for warranties for second-hand products has been growing along with the growth of the market for second-hand products. Warranty for new products (consumer durables, industrial and commercial, and specialized defense products) has received a lot of attention. In contrast, warranties for second-hand product have received very little attention. Often, dealers of second-hand product such as cars offer 2D-warranties (Year and Kilometers). The expected warranty cost associated with a second-hand product for 2D-Policies is a function of the age of the item and its usage (as it affects failures over the warranty period), the warranty terms and the servicing strategy used by the dealer. This paper deals with development of models for warranty cost analysis along with the decision on sale price and warranty cover for 2D-Warranty policies associated with sale of second-hand products.

제품 디자인의 파급효과와 품질경쟁력의 결정요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Effect of Product Design and a Primary factor of Qualify Competitiveness)

  • 본 연구의 분석목표는 제품 디자인의 결정요인을 추정하고 품질경쟁력, 제품 신뢰성, 고객충성에 대한 제품 디자인의 파급효과를 실증적으로 분석함으로써 디자인 경영이론에 유용한 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 상기한 실증적 분석을 위하여, 한국 제조업 부문의 400개 표본기업에 대한 설문조사(2003년 8월${\sim}$10월)를 통하여 관련 측정변수들을 추출하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 제품 디자인의 유의적 결정요인은 연구개발력 수준, 연구개발투자 수준, 혁신활동 수준(5S, TQM, 6Sigma 운동, QC 등)으로 추정되었다. 이 분석결과는 제품 디자인과 제품 개발을 동시적 엔지니어링(CE: concurrent engineering) 개념으로 파악하고 이들의 성과를 평가하기 위한 시스템관련 원리(system-related principle)와 행렬관련 원리(matrix-related principle)로써 서술한 Pawar and Driva(1999)를 실증적으로 뒷받침한다. 둘째, 제품 디자인의 파급효과는 제품 디자인${\rightarrow}$품질경쟁력${\rightarrow}$고객만족${\rightarrow}$고객충성의 인과관계로 나타나는 것으로 추정되었다. 즉, 제품 디자인은 고객만족을 직접적으로 유발하는 것이 아니라 품질경쟁력을 경유하여 간접적으로 고객만족을 유도한다는 것이다. 이 분석결과는 디자인 경영이 통합된 제품 품질의 중요한 결정인자라고 분석한 Flynn et al(1994), Ahire et al.(1996), Ahire and Dreyfus(2000) 등을 실증적으로 뒷받침한다. 일반적으로 제품 디자인의 접근방법으로써 3가지 즉 (1) 제품 개발자(엔지니어, 기술개발담당자, 품질관리팀)를 중심으로 하는 QFD(quality function development)의 접근방법, (2) 마케팅 담당자를 중심으로 하는 컨조인트 분석(conjoint analysis), (3) 상기의 2가지 접근방법의 상호보완적 및 동시적 결합 및 피드백의 주장(Pullman, Moore and Wardell, 2002)을 들 수 있다. 그러나 본 연구의 실증적 분석결과에는 품질경쟁력이 제품 디자인과 고객만족사이에 교량적 역할을 담당한다. 이 분석결과는 제품 디자인에 대한 품질경쟁력의 2가지 접근방법(QFD의 접근방법과 컨조인트 분석)의 조화를 이룰 수 있는 이론적 기초가 될 수 있다. 즉, 제품디자인의 결정요인 분석결과는 QFD의 접근방법에, 제품 디자인 파급효과 분석결과는 컨조인트 분석에 각각 보완적 기여를 할 수 있다. 이와 동시에, 실증적 분석결과는 Ettlie(1997)의 디자인 통합(DI) 이론에 대한 실증적 기반을 제공할 수 있다. 마지막으로, 성공적인 디자인 경영(DM)을 위해서는 최고 경영자의 지원뿐만 아니라 부처 간 의사소통의 장애요인을 제거하고 CFT(cross-functional team)를 운영함으로써 동시적 엔지니어링(CE) 및 제품 및 공정 디자인의 개발이 제품 개발의 속도를 가속화하고 디자인 품질을 높이며 시장 성공을 보증할 수 있도록 해야 한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze examples of online fashion product planning of domestic fashion brands, to grasp the characteristics and step-by-step problems in product planning, and to suggest product planning methods. This study consists of a literature study and a case study. The results of th study are as follows. First, in the information analysis and product planning, product planning according to analysis and targeting of online consumers should be conducted separately from offline, and the proportion of online-only products should be expanded. Second, in the design planning and product development stages, it should be possible to secure the quantity through the pre-planning of fabrics, a to acquire the novelty of the material through the preemption of good fabrics and the pre-planning of colors to secure competitive design. Third, in the convention, a systematic review process involving company members and customer review teams should be conducted to ensure product quality and sales-ability Fourth, in the production stage, the production period must be to reduce cost. Fifth, differentiated services according to the characteristics of their products for each brand in the promotion and sales stages. Based on this analysis, a desirable approach online product planning should first run promotion phase, increasing pre-planning for the product, and organizing specialize work and manpower issues.

제품의 신뢰성 향상를 위한 웹 기반 데이터 통합 시스템 구축에 관한 연구 (Web-based Data Integration System Implementation for Reliability Improvement of a Product)

  • 본 연구는 철강제조 분야에서 제품 생산 중 발생하는 모든 데이터를 실시간으로 수집하여 데이터베이스화하고, 웹 기반 시스템을 구축함으로써 시간과 장소의 제약 없이 필요 데이터를 조회, 분석할 수 있는 시스템 개발에 대한 연구이다. 본 시스템의 구축 결과, 실시간으로 데이터의 조회 및 분석이 가능하게 됨으로써 생산 제품에 대한 보다 효율적인 품질개선 활동이 가능하게 되었고, 제품의 신뢰도를 높일 수 있게 되었다. 또한 장기간 누적된 데이터를 데이터베이스화하고 그것을 통계적으로 분석 가능하게 함으로써 새로운 제어모델의 개발과 조업기술의 개발이 보다 용이하게 되었고, 신제품 개발의 기초자료로도 활용할 수 있게 되었다.

레스토랑 메뉴 수명주기(Menu Life Cycle) 패턴 분석 - T레스토랑 사례를 중심으로 - (Analysis of the Life Cycle of Menus in Restaurants - A Case Study of 'T' Restaurant -)

  • This study investigated the life cycle of menus and made suggestions on the appropriate time for when new menus should be developed. For this purpose, a total of 636 customers who visited 'T' Restaurant more than 25 times in the past three years were used for analysis. After estimating product life cycles based on sales and selling period, an empirical study was conducted. In terms of product life cycle, a growth stage was observed in the category of pasta and pizza in both stores A and B, whereas sales in the rice category stayed constant. Regarding trend in seasonal sales, a big difference was detected between the two stores. While store A was already in the decline stage of the life cycle in all menu categories, store B remained in the growth stage. In terms of menu life cycle, the product life cycle of long-lived products was observed in the pasta category in both stores A and B. While the pizza category was in the growth stage, the product life cycle of long-lived products was observed in the rice category. It is expected that the results of this study could be useful in development of new menus and product life cycle management to fulfill diverse customer needs in the dining-out business.

  • The object that we have researched the design for a long life of product is to search for the method to cope with the various environment problems where our mankind is confronting in the field of Production Design. The environment problem on earth is affecting seriously the enterprise which produces the product, the user who consumes it and even the field of product design. Now we live our daily life with a lot of artifacts while the citification and modernization have been progressing around us. Especially, 20 century was the times of the highly advanced scientific civilization and industrialization. Therefore it affected decisively our life environment base nowadays. The result was that our human life became rich because of the advanced development of industry, productivity and distribution structure. On the other side, the industrial system in the period of these massive production and massive consuming is bearing various problems proportionally. Those are the depletion of resources and energy, earth environmental pollution and various kinds of waste. In addition, the material which cannot recycle is appearing at the large quantity. This is the actuality of now. Our subject is how product design will cope with it as counter measures and the subject is very important to our mankind and earth environment.

  • The purpose of this study is to help understanding of patterns and to play a guideline's role in the development of designs and the prediction of trends for present and future fashion designers and textile designers. The methods of this study are the study of academic literatures as well as practical study through the analysis about actual works. The results of study are like followings. An inquiry of Pattern history in 20c is divided into six periods by the classification of styles and the styles of fashion culture according to other artistic formative will. Main trends of Pattern's image in each period and characteristics in each dimensions of Pattern image positioning are like followings. Art Nouveau style period from 1900 to 1910 is , Art Deco style period from 1910 to 1920 is , Elegance style period of 1930s is , and New Romantic style period from 1945 to mid 1950s and Pop style period from late 1950s to mid 1970s does not show main Pattern image but they are shown in four Pattern image of , , , . Compromising style period from late 1980s to 1990s shows all of four Pattern image, at the same time shows intensive main Pattern's image, .

  • 인터넷기반의 IT기기의 발달과 함께 다양한 디자인을 선호하는 소비자니즈에 따른 새로운 제품의 출시를 위해서 이에 필요한 생산도구인 금형제작에 있어서도 리드타임이 짧은 금형개발기술의 필요성이 절실히 요구되고 있는 것이 현실이다. 금형개발기간 단축을 위한 공정기술이 금형개발 산업체에서의 매우 중요한 실무교육 중 하나이고, 신제품에 대한 납기단축, 품질 및 원가 세 가지 요소가 고루 갖춰지지 않는다면 경쟁에서 힘들기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 제품개발에 따른 금형개발 교육훈련 프로그램이 체계적이지 못하고, 그리고 현실성이 부족한 교육훈련과정을 개선하여 실질적으로 현장에서 이행될 수 있는 실무기술능력 향상과 금형개발기간 단축을 위한 공정기술개선으로 실무중심 교육훈련 프로그램을 적용한 모형으로 발전시켜보고자 한다.
