공급자 부품품질 향상을 위한 품질보증시스템 개선방안 (Enhancement of Quality Assurance System for Improving the Quality of Suppliers' Product)

  • A prerequisite for improving the quality of a product is to enhance the quality of its parts supplied from outsourced enterprises. An enterprise certified by ISO 9001 Quality Management System is expected to develop their effective quality assurance system and maintain it through continuous control and improvement, thereby ensuring the good quality of products that they produce. However, it is reported that small and medium-sized enterprises certified by ISO 9001 have difficulty establishing an effective quality assurance system. This study aims to propose a new method of improving a quality assurance system that can be more effective in small and medium-sized enterprises. This study collectively considered requirements specified in several international standards on quality system and the results of expert group brainstorming to identify evaluation areas and items for assessing a quality assurance system. Based on these evaluation areas and items, a set of checklists for diagnosing and improving a quality assurance system was developed. In order to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method, this study applied it to ten small and medium-sized enterprises and could identify four approaches for improving their current quality assurance system. The presented improvement method, which consists of establishment of quality goals and quality innovation plan, defective products corrective activities, 4M and design change process, improvement of customer quality information management, is expected to be utilized as a useful tool for the enhancement of the quality assurance system of small and medium-sized enterprises.

  • Recently, product-reliability and process-reliability in product development processes has been regarded as an important issue in many manufacturers. TRIZ which is theory for inventive solving is required to obtain reliability of each process. To solve the technological problems, TRIZ provides problems can be occurred in product development processes as a contradiction matrix based on 40 creative invention principles with alternatives for physical and technological contradiction. This paper suggests the method for inventive solving to ensure the reliability assurance of product development processes based on TRIZ.

  • Development of launch vehicle needs a large-scale and complicated System Engineering discipline interfacing to small-quantity production with special manufacturing processes. In general, the System Engineering discipline of launch vehicle has its relationship with Production, Operations, Product Assurance and Management disciplines and its internal partitions into the functions of System Engineering Integration & Control, Requirements Engineering, Analysis, Design and Configuration and Verification. As a function of Product Assurance, reliability of launch vehicle plays an significant role in risk management, system safety, flight safety and launch certification through design assurance. Moreover, major functions of systems engineering are integrated by means of reliability in the phases of design and verification. Therefore, derailed identification of system engineering interfaces of reliability, and execution of tasks for reliability assurance is required for successful development of launch vehicle. This paper identifies specific pattern and mechanism of the interfaces between reliability and system engineering.

품질보증데이터의 분석방법에 대한 고찰 (The study on the analysis of quality assurance data)

  • 품질보증데이터는 제품의 신뢰성평가에 귀중한 자료이므로 기업에서는 이를 분석하여 제품의 개선전략을 세운다. 하지만 기업에서는 제품의 수명을 고려하지 않고 통상 월별 또는 분기별 클레임건수를 1000제품 당으로 나타낸 품질보증회수율을 구하여 표나 그림으로 나타낸다. 본 연구에서는 그런 데이터를 통상적으로 어떻게 분석하는지 살펴보고 수명까지 고려한 분석이 효과적임을 설명한다. 아울러 이런 분석의 결과는 신뢰성추적시스템에 들어가야 됨을 설명한다.

  • Quality Assurance Method of Defense Logistics Agency, U. S. A., was changed from Contract Quality Assurance Program to In-Plant Quality Evaluation in May, 1990. IQUE focuses on working with contractor in spirit of team work to measure and continuously improve processes and resulting product quality. The goals are to achieve customer satisfaction, improved product quality, and a reduction in the costs of items and ownership. It is suggested to adopt and apply the IQUE method to the effective accomplishment of Korean aircraft projects.

  • Digital representations of products and parts have largely replaced physical drawings as the form in which product data are stored, analyzed, and communicated among the people contributing to the design of an automobile. Many individuals and companies participate in the design of an increasingly complex automobile; hence, the design process depends critically on team members' ability to share information about essential design elements. These trends have elevated the importance of the quality of product data and its efficient exchange. In this paper, we show state-of-the-art on Product Data Quality(PDQ), and activities of PDQ assurance. And we propose a novel design history-based approach for diagnosis and healing of a CAD model.

  • The Common Criteria (CC) philosophy is to provide assurance based upon an evaluation of the IT product or system that is to be trusted. Evaluation has been the traditional means of providing assurance. It is essential that not only the customer' srequirements for software functionality should be satisfied but also the security requirements imposed on the software development should be effectively analyzed and implemented in contributing to the security objectives of customer's requirements. Unless suitable requirements are established at the start of the software development process, the resulting end product, however well engineered, may not meet the objectives of its anticipated consumers. By the security evaluation, customer can sure about the quality of the products or systems they will buy and operate. In this paper, we propose a selection guide for If products by showing relationship between security engineering and security evaluation and make help user and customer select appropriate products or system.

  • The quality assurance issue of drug products is more important than the general product because it is highly related to the human health and life. In this reason, the regulatory guide lines have continuously been intensified all around the world. In order to achieve effective quality assurance and real-time product release (RTPR) of drug products, process analytical technology (PAT), which can analyze and control a manufacturing process, has been proposed from the United States. With the PAT process, we can obtain significant process features of materials, quality characteristics and product capabilities from a raw material to the final product in the real-time procedure. PAT can also be utilized to process validation using information system that can analyze the risk of drug products through out an entire product life-cycle. In this paper, we first offered a new concept for the off-line process design methods to prepare the improved quality assurance restrictions and a real-time control method by establishing an information system. We also introduced an automatic inspection system by obtaining surrogate variables based on drug product formulations. Finally, we proposed an advanced PAT concept using validation and feedback principles through out the entire life-cycle of drug product manufacturing processes.

  • As more individuals and organizations participate in the complex design process of manufacturing industry, collaborative product development and management of the global supply chain have become more popular. Although the product quality concerns once focused on the manufacturing process, they are now directed at earlier stages of the design cycle where the engineering product is created as a 3D CAD model. In this paper, we describe the current state of product data quality activities in the manufacturing industry and the yardstick to measure 3D CAD data quality. Moreover we introduce a quality assurance method through the result of statistical analysis of 3D CAD models and suggest a six sigma level of CAD data quality by analyzing 76 samples provided from three Korean automotive companies.

군수품의 고품질 확보를 위한 개발 품질보증 적용사례 연구 (A Case Study on Application of R&D Quality Assurance to Secure High Quality for Military Supplies)

  • Purpose: This study is in order to secure high quality of military supplies, it is important to secure design quality in the development phase. I will review how to establish a quality assurance system in the development phase based on the author's seminar presentation contents and application example of Hanwha Systems Co., Ltd. Methods: To guarantee design quality in the development phase, in 2002, quality assurance system that is adequate for SQA(Software Quality Assurance)'s requirements of CMM(Capability Maturity Model) was conduct. In 2009, based on the CMMI(Capability Maturity Model Integration) Level 5, there has been continuous and reenforced quality assurance activities. Results: By suggesting the construction and a case study on application of R&D quality assurance, it would be helpful for companies aiming to construct or enhance quality assurance system. Conclusion: To secure high quality for military supplies, a development QA system should be established to secure quality in the development phase. In addition, Total life cycle QA system for development, mass production and operation phase should be reestablished.
