Purpose - The paper aims to develop the theory of TAM and perceived risk through a more comprehensive and rigorous understanding of the influencing factors of the consumer's adoption of LG HomNet smart home from the perspective of trade-offs. Design/methodology - Based on the TAM and perceived risk theory, combined with the individual characteristics of consumers in the context of information technology as the external factors of the technology acceptance model, this paper constructs a theoretical model of the factors affecting the use intention of the consumer. It was empirically tested by using SEM, and survey data was collected from 458 respondents. Findings - The research results show that 9 hypotheses of the research model are supported and have reliable prediction accuracy. Consumers' perceived interest, perceived connectivity and perceived controllability have a significant positive impact on their intention to use. In addition, this paper also confirmed the mediating effect of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Originality/value - Consumers are very concerned about gains and losses. Low-level performance risks, security risks, and financial risks will drive the consumer to have a stronger intention to use, and financial risks have the strongest impact. This research provides a useful implication and guidance for smart home equipment manufacturers and service providers in product and service innovation and marketing and promotion strategies.

Fraudulence, cheating, and deception can occur in the commercial real estate (CRE) industry, besides the difficulty in searching for and transferring properties while ensuring the operation is processed through an authoritative source in a trusted manner. Nowadays, real estate transactions use neutral third parties to sell land. Indeed, properties can be sold by the owners or third parties multiple times or without a proper deed. Moreover, third parties request a large amount of money to mediate between the seller and buyer. Methods: We propose a new framework that uses a private blockchain network and predefined BPMN instances to enable the fast and easy recording of deeds and their proprietary transfer management controlled by the government. The blockchain allows for multiple verifications of transactions by permitted parties called peers. It promotes transparency, privacy, trust, and commercial competition. Results: We demonstrated the easy adoption of blockchain for land registration and transfer. The paper presents a prototype of the implemented product that follows the proposed framework. Conclusion: The use of Blockchain-based solutions to resolve the current land registration and transfer issues is promising and will contribute to smart cities and digital governance.
Purpose: The study aims to identify the key factors that influence consumers' propensity to utilize community group buying platforms, employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical framework. Research design, data and methodology: The research design involved selecting 192 consumers with experience in community group buying and analyzing the data statistically using SPSS 23.0. Hypotheses were tested utilizing the structural equation modeling software AMOS. Results: Key findings indicate that the attributes of products offered on community group buying platforms significantly enhance consumers' perceptions of usefulness and ease of use. Furthermore, these perceptions directly correlate with consumers' intentionsto use the platform. Conclusions: Thisresearch, grounded in the TAM, delves into how external factors of the community group buying platform impact perceived usefulness and ease of use, and subsequently, how these perceptions affect consumers' purchasing intentions. Based on these insights, several recommendations can be proposed for the platform's development: The platform should strive to enhance product quality and cultivate a positive reputation. Strategic promotional initiatives should be designed to attract new users while retaining existing customers. Continuous optimization of platform functionalities is necessary to augment users' perception of usefulness. These measures are anticipated to foster user engagement, increase adoption rates, and contribute to the overall success and sustainability of the community group buying platform.
Virtual community(VC) will increasingly be organized as commercial enterprises, with the objective of earning an attractive financial return by providing members with valuable resources and environment. For example, Cyworld.com in Korea uses several community services to enable customers of Cyworld to take control of their own value as potential purchasers of products and services. Although initial adoption is important for online network service success, it does not necessarily result in the desired managerial performance unless the initial usage is continuously related to the continuous usage and purchase. Particularly, the customer who receives relevant online services and is well equipped with online network services, will trust the online service provider and perceive less risk and experience more activities such as continuous usage and purchase. Thus, how to promote continued online service usage or, alternatively, how to prevent discontinuance is a critical issue for VC service providers to consider. By aggregating a wide range of information and online environments for customers and providing trust to its members, the service providers of virtual communities help to reduce the perceived risk of continuous usage and purchase. Drill down, online service managers realize that achieving strong and sustained customers who continuously use online service and purchase on it is crucial. Therefore, the research into this online service continuance will identify the relationship between the initial usage and the continuous usage and purchase. The research of continuous usage or post adoption has recently emerged as an important issue in the IS literature. Individuals' information systems(IS) continuous usage decisions are congruent with consumers' repeat purchase decisions. The TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) paradigm has been strongly confirmed across a wide range from product purchase on EC to online service usage contexts. The analysis of IS usage based on TAM has proven to be successful across almost online service contexts. However, most of previous studies have focused on only an area (i.e., VC or EC). Just little research has tried to analyze the relationship between VC and EC. The effect of some factors on user intention, captured through several theories such as TAM, has been demonstrated. Yet, few studies have explored the salient relationships of VC users' EC acceptance. To fill this gap between VC and EC research, this paper attempts to develop a research model that extends the TAM perspective in view of the additional contributions of trust in the service provider and trust in members on some factors that affect EC and VC adoption. In this extension, we applied the TAM-to-TAM(T2T) model, and analyzed the transfer effect of trust between these two TAMs. The research model was empirically tested on the context of a social network service. The model was to extend TAM with the trust concept for the virtual community environment from the perspective of tasks. By building an extended model of TAM and examining the relationships between trust and the existing variables of TAM, it is aimed to explain a user's continuous intention to use VC and purchase on EC. The unit of analysis in this paper is an individual user of a virtual community. The population of interest is the individual with the experiences in virtual community. The data for this paper was made available via a Web survey of VC users. In total, 281 cases were gathered for about one week, but there were some missing values in the sample and there were some inappropriate cases. Thus, only 248 cases were finally analyzed. We chose the structural equation analysis to test the hypotheses and it is better suited for explaining complex relationships than the other methods. In this test, AMOS was used to test the Structural Equation Model (SEM). Noticeable results have been found in the T2T model regarding the factors affecting the intention to use of virtual community and loyalty. Our result showed that trust transfer plays a key role in forming the two adoption beliefs. Overall, this study preliminarily confirms the salience of trust transfer in online service.
In the acceptance of new technology products, not only the characteristics of the product itself, but also the consumer's psychological perception of the product has a great influence. This study analyzed the effects of psychological variables such as perceived risk, technology trust, and optimistic bias on consumers' intention to accept new technology products. This study selected nanotechnology, and we found consumers with high perceived risk showed relatively low intent to accept nanotechnology products compared to consumers with high perceived risk. However, in case of high level of technology trust, consumers with high perceived risk did not show any significant difference in the intention to accept nanotechnology products. We also found that such moderating effect of technology trust is mediated by optimistic bias. We hope that the findings of this study can give meaningful implications to nanotechnology developers, marketers, and policy makers in nanotechnology industry.

The goal of this study is to investigate and provide information to the Fintech Industry on the main factors responsible for customer loyalty via the mediating effect of customer satisfaction. Secondly, providing traditional banking reasons for customer shifts from banking to Fintech, therefore these factors could be more focused. The consumer choices presented in this study can thus serve as a foundation for further research into post-adoption behaviors associated with Fintech for cross-border payments. This study examines consumer evaluations of how key attributes of fintech using mobile payment services affect their choice by using a conjoint analysis approach, which allows for the approximation of user preferences for specific features. In our study we have used SPSS 26 to test the reliability and mediation effect on the sample size of 348 people who regularly used Fintech for cross border payments. All the questionnaires were prepared if the customers were given fintech as an option instead of traditional banks to send their remittances abroad. The result shows that(Service Quality, Customer's trust and product quality) effecting customer satisfaction significantly would be very helpful for the current fintechs working for home remittances to improve these factors and would serve as a benchmark for the upcoming fintech startups and traditional banks to focus on these factors and catch up the fintech Industry. Finally, it is argued that, in order to be successful, focusing on service quality, customer trust, and product quality triggered customer loyalty for the Fintech in comparison to other traditional options for cross-border payments via the mediation effect of customer satisfaction.

TVarious studies in different industries have proven the effectiveness of nanotechnology, which is considered as a representative technology that makes lives faster and more convenient and economical. However, as nanomaterials are tiny, consumers are concerned on whether they can do any physical harm. Therefore, based on the perceived usefulness and ease of use from the generally used Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this study added additional variables including perceived risk. Moreover, this study introduced three kinds of trust (institution, people, and technology trust) as moderating variables, which can reduce the negative effect of perceived risk. Based on the analysis using the Structural Equation Model, we determined that perceived usefulness and ease of use positively influenced the intention to adopt nanotechnology products. Thus, when consumers regarded nanotechnology products as efficient and convenient, they showed increased intention to adopt the technology. Furthermore, perceived risk negatively affected the intention to adopt nanotechnology products, that is, when customers' perceived risk increased, the adoption intention of nanotechnology product decreases because of the potential risk from nanotechnology. On the one hand, the negative effect of perceived risk on adoption intention decreased when trust in nanotechnology washigh and when consumers highlytrust experts or administrators. On the other hand, trust in government, public institutions, and companies which produce nanotechnology products showed no significant moderating effect. This study is meaningful as it generalized TAM by applying the model to new nanotechnology products and extended existing studies by the addition of perceived risk and various trust factors to the model.
The supply chain without digitization is just a series of discrete, siloed steps taken through marketing, product development, manufacturing, and logistics, and finally into the hands of the customer. Digitization brings down those walls, and the chain becomes a completely integrated network fully transparent to all the parties involved. The ulitimate goals of digitizatized supply chain management are velocity and visibility. This network will depend on a number of key technologies including integrated planning and execution systems, supply chain analytics, autonomous logistics, smart warehousing and factory, etc, enabling companies to react to disruptions in the supply chain, and even anticipate them, by fully modeling the network, creating "what-if" scenarios, and adjusting the supply chain in real time as conditions change. This paper presents a number of studies on digitalization of supply chains and provides a discussion on issues raised in the process of technology adoption. Implications of the study findings are also provided.
Using the extended technology acceptance model (TAM), the study aimed to understand consumers' adoption process for smart fashion products. The research model was designed to examine the impacts of perceived ease of use and usefulness on attitude and behavior intention toward smart fashion products based on the technology innovativeness, enjoyment, and subjective norm variables. An online survey was conducted on consumers by employing a marketing research company. A total of 230 useable responses were obtained. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was performed to test the measurement model. The proposed hypotheses were tested by employing the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results found a positive impact of perceived ease of use on usefulness and a positive influence of usefulness on attitude and behavior intention. Attitude had a positive effect on behavior intention. In addition, technology innovativeness was found to have a positive influence on perceived ease of use and enjoyment had a positive influence on usefulness and attitude. Subjective norm predicted behavior intention. The findings of the study contribute to smart fashion literature and have important implications for smart fashion product developers and marketers, as they offer insights into the important role of technology innovativeness, enjoyment, and subjective norms perceived by consumers in improving attitudes and behavior intentions toward the products. Limitations and future research directions are discussed.
Customer's purchase state consists of purchase inertia and variety-seeking. As the growing brand familiarity triggers the increase of brand attractiveness, customers purchase state will be of inertia. However the excessively growing brand familiarity ignites the decrease of brand attractiveness. Followingly the purchase state will be tend to plunge into the variety-seeking state. The main topic of this study is to validate the asymmetric formation of customer's purchase states between inertia and variety-seeking. In order to follow up the main topic, this article introduces a model to freely describe the velocity of value changes depending upon the purchase states. This model will help overcome the limitation of the past studies having been based on the symmetric value changes. Based on this approach marketer will be able to decide the timing of sales promotions. This research utilized local telecommunication carrier's database of smartphone application purchase/download records. This database was collected from two years (2009 and 2010) span, the time when the smartphones started commodifying in Korea whilst most of the past studies had used purchase data of maturity stage products. From this approach utilizing the introduction stage data in the product life cycle, the probability of brand choice depending upon the purchase state on the early-stage can be probed. Moreover, this study tries to expand the research methodology from the other areas of research by knowledge sharing. Here this study introduces the methodology of section-aggregated multinomial logit to simultaneously estimate the parameters that were included in the plural multinomial logit functions while the plural functions were inter-connected. This adoption of section-aggregated multinomial logit model procedures from the computerized statistics areas is expected to nourish the marketing research for more precise analysis and estimation of effects of marketing activities.
