정보 시각화 형태와 정황 추론에 의한 인식 처리에 관한 연구 (Cognitive Processing with Information Visualization Types and Contextual Reasoning)

  • The effects of information quality and the importance of information have been reported in the Information Systems (IS) literature. However, little has been learned about the impact of information visualization types and contextual information on decision quality. Therefore, this study investigated the interaction effects of these variables on decision quality by conducting a laboratory experiment. Based on two types of information visualization and the availableness of contextual information, this study had a $2{\times}2$ factorial design. The dependent variables used to measure the outcomes of decision quality were decision accuracy and time. The results demonstrated that the effects of contextual information on decision quality were significant. In addition, there was a significant main effect of information visualization on decision accuracy. The findings suggest that decision makers can expect to improve their decision quality by enhancing information visualization types and contextual information. This research may extend a body of research examining the effects of factors that can be tied to human decision-making performance.

자연어 처리 및 기계학습을 활용한 제조업 현장의 품질 불량 예측 방법론 (A Method for Prediction of Quality Defects in Manufacturing Using Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning)

  • 제조업 현장에서 제작 공정 수행 전 품질 불량 위험 공정을 예측하여 사전품질관리를 수행하는 것은 매우 중요한 일이다. 하지만 기존 엔지니어의 역량에 의존하는 방법은 그 제작공정의 종류와 수가 다양할수록 인적, 물리적 한계에 부딪힌다. 특히 원자력 주요기기 제작과 같이 제작공정이 매우 광범위한 도메인 영역에서는 그 한계가 더욱 명확하다. 본 논문은 제조업 현장에서 자연어 처리 및 기계학습을 활용하여 품질 불량 위험 공정을 예측하는 방법을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 실제 원자력발전소에 설치되는 주기기를 제작하는 공장에서 6년 동안 수집된 제작 기록의 텍스트 데이터를 활용하였다. 텍스트 데이터의 전처리 단계에서는 도메인 지식이 잘 반영될 수 있도록 단어사전에 Mapping 하는 방식을 적용하였고, 문장 벡터화 과정에서는 N-gram, TF-IDF, SVD를 결합한 하이브리드 알고리즘을 구성하였다. 다음으로 품질 불량 위험 공정을 분류해내는 실험에서는 k-fold 교차 검증을 적용하고 Unigram에서 누적 Trigram까지 여러 케이스로 나누어 데이터셋에 대한 객관성을 확보하였다. 또한, 분류 알고리즘으로 나이브 베이즈(NB)와 서포트 벡터 머신(SVM)을 사용하여 유의미한 결과를 확보하였다. 실험결과 최대 accuracy와 F1-score가 각각 0.7685와 0.8641로서 상당히 유효한 수준으로 나타났다. 또한, 수행해본 적이 없는 새로운 공정을 예측하여 현장 엔지니어들의 투표와의 비교를 통해서 실제 현장에 자연스럽게 적용할 수 있음을 보여주었다.

  • 소프트웨어 컴포넌트 기반 개발을 통해 시스템을 구축하기 위해서는 검정되고 표준화된 컴포넌트가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 컴포넌트 개발 시범사업에 적용하기 위해 개발되었던 컴포넌트 품질 관리를 위한 접근방법을 제시한다. 컴포넌트 품질 명세, 품질 계획, 품질 통제, 품질 평가의 4단계로 구성된 품질관리 프로세스는 컴포넌트 개발시 품질 목표를 설정하고 설정된 목표를 달성하도록 유도한다. 이 때 컴포넌트 품질모형은 품질 요구사항을 측정가능한 품질 목표로 변환시키고 개발된 컴포넌트의 품질을 평가하는 근거로 사용하기 위해 제안되었다.

Critical Factors Affecting Customers' Purchase Intention of Insurance Policies in Indonesia

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of product quality factors, product risk, company reputation, and service quality on the purchase intention of insurance policies by customers in Indonesia. The variables in this study are product quality, service quality, company reputation, perceived risk, and purchase intention. This study uses a quantitative approach. Primary data were obtained from 154 respondents. Data processing and model testing use the Structural Equation Modeling procedure with Lisrel 8.80. At the significance level of 0.05, the research found that product quality had a positive and significant effect on purchase intention; product quality had a positive and significant effect on company reputation; product quality had a positive and significant effect on perceived risk perception; company reputation had a positive and significant effect on purchase intention; company reputation has a positive and insignificant effect on service quality; product quality has a positive, but non-significant effect on service quality; service quality has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention; perceived risk has a negative and significant effect on purchase intention; perceived risk has a positive and significant impact on service quality; and perceived risk has a positive and significant effect on company reputation.

  • The automobile industry is a wide range of related industries, including parts manufacturing and vehicle assembly, press processing is an essential element in making automobiles. Press processing is a processing method for metal sheets that has relatively high dimensional and shape precision and is suitable for mass production. It refers to processing by attaching a special tool, a mold, to a press machine. Recently, the automobile industry is attempting to reduce the weight of automobiles in order to reduce carbon emissions due to global warming, and the use of high-strength steel sheets, which are lighter than general structural steel sheets, is a natural trend. Shear processing is required to use high-strength steel, and the shape of the shear surface created by shear processing has a significant impact on the quality of the automobile. Therefore, various methods are being attempted to improve the share surface during shear processing. Among them, shaving processing is a method of shearing the primary shearing area again, and it is difficult to obtain an accurate answer because complex deformation occurs in the microscopic shear area. Therefore, in this study, the effect of machining allowance on shaving processing was analyzed using the finite element method using high-strength steel plate (SPFH590), and the differences were compared and examined through actual experiments under the same conditions.

Effects of hydrocolloids on the quality characteristics of cold-cut duck meat jelly

  • In this study, we examined the effects of various hydrocolloid (alginate, carrageenan, and konjac) treatments on the quality characteristics of cold-cut duck meat jelly. Seven different types of cold-cut duck meat jelly were prepared: control, without hydrocolloids; T1, 0.5% alginate; T2, 0.5% carrageenan; T3, 0.5% konjac; T4, 0.25% alginate + 0.25% carrageenan; T5, 0.25% carrageen + 0.25% konjac; and T6, 0.25% alginate + 0.25% konjac. The pH and moisture content of the cold-cut duck meat jelly with hydrocolloids was higher (p < 0.05) than that of the control. The highest lightness value was recorded for T4 and T6 (p < 0.05), and the hardness was lower (p < 0.05) in the meat jelly with hydrocolloids than in the control, except for T2 and T5. The springiness of the meat jelly was the highest (p < 0.05) in T1 and T4. The onset, peak, and end temperatures were the lowest (p < 0.05) in the control. The highest appearance score of the meat jelly was observed in T6, and its overall acceptability was higher (p < 0.05) than that of the control, indicating that, of all the treatments, 0.25% alginate + 0.25% konjac yielded the most desirable results. Thus, the combined use of duck skin and gelatin with alginate and konjac is potentially applicable for the development of new cold-cut duck meat products.

KIAPS 관측자료 처리시스템에서의 AMSU-A 위성자료 초기 전처리와 편향보정 모듈 개발 (Development of Pre-Processing and Bias Correction Modules for AMSU-A Satellite Data in the KIAPS Observation Processing System)

  • As a part of the KIAPS Observation Processing System (KOPS), we have developed the modules of satellite radiance data pre-processing and quality control, which include observation operators to interpolate model state variables into radiances in observation space. AMSU-A (Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit-A) level-1d radiance data have been extracted using the BUFR (Binary Universal Form for the Representation of meteorological data) decoder and a first guess has been calculated with RTTOV (Radiative Transfer for TIROS Operational Vertical Sounder) version 10.2. For initial quality checks, the pixels contaminated by large amounts of cloud liquid water, heavy precipitation, and sea ice have been removed. Channels for assimilation, rejection, or monitoring have been respectively selected for different surface types since the errors from the skin temperature are caused by inaccurate surface emissivity. Correcting the bias caused by errors in the instruments and radiative transfer model is crucial in radiance data pre-processing. We have developed bias correction modules in two steps based on 30-day innovation statistics (observed radiance minus background; O-B). The scan bias correction has been calculated individually for each channel, satellite, and scan position. Then a multiple linear regression of the scan-bias-corrected innovations with several predictors has been employed to correct the airmass bias.

A Receiver-Driven Loss Recovery Mechanism for Video Dissemination over Information-Centric VANET

  • Information-Centric Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (IC-VANET) is a promising network architecture for the future intelligent transport system. Video streaming applications over IC-VANET not only enrich infotainment services, but also provide the drivers and pedestrians real-time visual information to make proper decisions. However, due to the characteristics of wireless link and frequent change of the network topology, the packet loss seriously affects the quality of video streaming applications. In this paper, we propose a REceiver-Driven loss reCOvery Mechanism (REDCOM) to enhance video dissemination over IC-VANET. A Markov chain based estimation model is introduced to capture the real-time network condition. Based on the estimation result, the proposed REDCOM recovers the lost packets by requesting additional forward error correction packets. The REDCOM follows the receiver-driven model of IC-VANET and does not require the infrastructure support to efficiently overcome packet losses. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed REDCOM improves video quality under various network conditions.

인삼 첨가 비율 및 첨가 시기에 따른 인삼 약주 품질 특성 (Determination of Ginseng Yakju Quality using Different Percentages and Application Dates of Ginseng)

  • We investigated the quality characteristics of fermented ginseng Yakju produced using different percentage contents and application dates of ginseng. Although the pH of fermented ginseng Yakju was not significantly different among the various treatment groups, the total acidity was changed depending on the percentage of ginseng content. the application date of ginseng did not influence the total acid content. The amount of volatile acids was higher at a 0.2~0.3% content of white or red ginseng than in other treatment groups. The ginsenoside contents of white and red ginseng used for making ginseng Yakju were 3,555.0 and 4,447.4 ppm, respectively. In ginseng Yakju, total ginsenoside contents were detected at very small amounts of <10 ppm. A total of 15 volatile components were detected in ginseng Yakju. Higher levels of methanol were produced at early application dates. In sensory evaluations, the preference for aroma was higher at white ginseng levels of 0.5% and 1.0% than for other treatment groups, and the taste was judged to be best at a white ginseng content of 0.3%. In the red ginseng treatment group, a red ginseng content of 0.3% was most preferred for both aroma and taste. The taste preference for white ginseng was at 4 days after application, while the taste of the red ginseng treated group was good at the beginning of fermentation.

Off-Site Distortion and Color Compensation of Underwater Archaeological Images Photographed in the Very Turbid Yellow Sea

  • Underwater photographing and image recording are essential for pre-excavation survey and during excavation in underwater archaeology. Unlike photographing on land, all underwater images suffer various quality degradations such as shape distortions, color shift, blur, low contrast, high noise levels and so on. Outcome is very often heavily photographing equipment and photographer dependent. Excavation schedule, weather conditions, and water conditions can put burdens on divers. Usable images are very limited compared to the efforts. In underwater archaeological study in very turbid water such as in the Yellow Sea (between mainland China and the Korean peninsula), underwater photographing is very challenging. In this study, off-site image distortion and color compensation techniques using an image processing/analysis software is investigated as an alternative image quality enhancement method. As sample images, photographs taken during the excavation of 800-year-old Taean Mado Shipwrecks in the Yellow Sea in 2008-2010 were mainly used. Significant enhancement in distortion and color compensation of archived images were obtained by simple post image processing using image processing/analysis software (PicMan) customized for given view ports, lenses and cameras with and without optical axis offsets. Post image processing is found to be very effective in distortion and color compensation of both recent and archived images from various photographing equipment models and configurations. Merits and demerit of in-situ, distortion and color compensated photographing with sophisticated equipment and conventional photographing equipment, which requires post image processing, are compared.
