Establishment of QC Target based on Quality Cost

  • On-line QC by Taguchi has two approaches of: the cost-oriented (cost-emphasis) QC and the process-oriented (quality-emphasis) QC. The main concern of this paper is to estabilish and recommend a desirable one as a QC target. Simulation is employed to solve the question, and the failure cost (A), appraisal cost (B), and prevention cost (C) are adopted as decision variables. In conclusion, the process-oriented QC is the recommendable approach as far as there is no remarkable cost difference between the two approaches and possible to apply on.

  • Global regulatory pressures relating climate change and environmental responsibility are asking companies to find out the best way for sustaining their continuous business growths. It could be known that inadequate management for environmental issues are bad for business, negatively affecting brand image, causing unnecessary losses and costs for environmental preservation. For this reason, environmentally conscious green business growth has been recognized as an essential requirement for a company to stay in business. Many companies are looking for green business opportunities of improving their environmental and financial results, and struggling with how green fits into their business. In this paper, the Green Six Sigma, an environmentally conscious Six Sigma methodology, is presented as a way to find solutions for green growths. The Six Sigma is known as a disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for achieving world-class performance in any process from manufacturing to transactional. In chronological order, the Six Sigma has been evolved from Motorola's quality-oriented methodology to GE's cost-oriented lean approach, and is being evolved and developed as an environment-oriented green growth approach. There is no doubt that the Green Six Sigma, as an engine of green growth, is a power tool for achieving competitive business performance and reducing the impact on the environment.

SOA와 WOA의 통합 아키텍처 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study of Design for the Integrated Architecture of SOA and WOA)

  • IT 자원의 상호운용성 및 재활용성 등의 장점을 지니고 있는 서비스 지향 아키텍처(SOA : Service Oriented Architecture)는 새로운 비즈니스 환경변화에 가장 빠르게 대응할 수 있는 최적의 대안으로 각광받고 있다. 그러나 SOA는 구현의 복잡성 및 그에 따른 높은 비용 등의 문제점들을 갖고 있다. 이러한 문제점들의 보완을 위해 웹 지향 아키텍처(WOA: Web Oriented Architecture)가 제안되어 각광받고 있지만, 이 또한 보안 및 안정적인 메시지 전달 등의 문제점들을 안고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 SOA와 WOA의 핵심 개념인 서비스를 내 외부 서비스로 분류후 각각을 SOA와 WOA에 적용하고, SOA와 WOA가 지닌 장점을 바탕으로 유연성이 강조된 통합 아키텍처 설계하였다. 제안한 아키텍처는 구현이 보다 간편하고, 서비스 지향적이며, 고객의 요구사항을 충분히 만족시킬 수 있다. 이를 검증하기 위해 AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) 기법을 통하여 제안한 아키텍처 설계의 유용성을 평가하였다.

제1차 치산녹화10년계획의 수립 과정:경영중심 임정과 행정중심 임정의 갈림길 (Establishing Process of the 1st 10-year National Greening Project : At the Turning Point between the Management-oriented Approach and Administration-oriented Approach)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 당시 당면한 산림문제를 해결하기 위하여 1972년 7월부터 1973년 6월까지 진행되었던 산림정책의 변화과정과 그 원인을 구명하는 데 있다. 1972년에 우리나라가 당면한 산림문제는 1ha 당 평균 입목축적 $11m^3$, 총 산림면적의 약 12%에 해당하는 82만ha의 무립목지로 대표되는 산림황폐화였다. 당시 이 문제를 해결하기 위한 다양한 접근방법이 있을 수 있었다. 1972년 12월 산림개발법이 제정될 때까지는 산림경영 측면에서 조림을 유도하는 경영중심 임정이 유력하였다. 그러나 1973년 3월까지 큰 변화가 있었다. 우선 산림녹화의 효율적인 수행을 위하여 산림청을 농림부에서 내무부로 이관하였다. 뒤 이어 국가가 산림녹화의 주체가 되어 국가 재정과 경찰력을 포함한 행정력을 동원하여 신속히 100만ha를 조림한다는 제1차 치산녹화10년계획이 수립되었다. 영림공사가 수행할 특수개발지역의 산림조차 국가와 지방 정부가 중심이 되어 조림을 한다는 정책이 선택됨으로써 영림공사의 필요성은 퇴색되었다. 더군다나 정부는 법으로 정한 영림공사 설립에 필요한 출자금 200억원을 조달하는 데 '재정적 제약'이 있었다. 결국 공적 기관인 영림공사가 특수개발지역의 산림을 경영한다는 계획은 1973년 3월 5일 산림개발법이 개정되어 영림공사 설립 조항이 삭제되면서 그 막을 내렸다. 이러한 변화의 중심엔 당시 산림문제를 단기간 내에 해결하려는 박정희 대통령의 '시간적 제약' 인식이 크게 자리 잡고 있었다. 이런 대통령의 인식은 영림공사 주도의 조림정책보다 행정력 주도의 제1차 치산녹화10년계획을 선택하게 만든 보이지 않는 변수였다.

  • This study presents an application of object-oriented methodology for structural dcsign process. A prototype system of integrated a structural design system is developed by introducing a structural analysis object model(SAOM) and structural design object model(SDOM). The SAOM module. which is modeled as a part of structural member, performs structural analysis using FEM approach and the SDOM module checks structural members based on Korea steel design standard. 가족기업 종사 이중역할 수행자의 가족자원관리 행동유형 분석: 한국과 미국간 비교연구 (Family Resource Management Pattern by Dual Role Manager of the Family Business in Korea and The United States)

  • While there is universal agreement that the ecosystems approach to family resource management is the must influential currently, questions have arisen about the broad applicability of the Deacon & Firebaugh (1988) ecosystems framework. Engberg (1996) has characterized the dominant approach in family resource management as technical and argued that a technical approach substantially restricts feasible actions in much of the world and should not be used in ethical practice. The purpose of the present paper is to compare the family resource management patterns by dual role manager of business owning families in Korea and The United States. Such a comparison is an essential step in the assessment of the usefulness of the Deacon & Firebaugh framework, in particular, and the ecosystems framework, more generally. Korean respondents are 105 family and business managers interviewed in 2000 as part of a survey of owners of small to medium size family business enterprises in Seoul. U.S. respondents are 259 dual role managers in the National Family Business Survey (NFBS 1997). Chi squared statistics indicated country differences on each of the ten(goal setting, standard setting, demand clarification, resource assessment, action sequencing, actuating, checking, adjusting, demand responses, resource change)management practices. Mean responses on eight of the practices(goal setting, standard setting, action sequencing, actuating, checking, adjusting, demand responses, resource changes) were significantly different between two countries. U.S. total score means of family resource management were higher than Korea. Factor analysis of the management scale items yielded different patterns for Korea, and the United States. Korean dual role manager of family business were categorized into three different patterns as classic oriented manager, goal oriented manager, action oriented manager and U.S. were categorized into Process oriented manager and Production oriented manager. Both the number of managerial strategies and the types of strategies used varied in the two countries.

  • In the swirl of change in the world, Media, the development of information technology, and the enterprise-oriented capitalism have tied the world as one unit, and have entered the period of adaptation. With the view of introspection of these concepts, this paper is mainly written by the theory of "matter as the content" with exploration of the design of essence and scientific approach. The design process is the condensational process which is developed by the exchange of reason and sensibility. This process, which is characterized by the objective manipulation of a given condition and the intervention of extrapolation, is the new way of thinking and approach rather than the concept of the way and means. The research of this paper is based on paintings and the analysis of essential experiments in design, the definition of the terms of content in the view of philosophy and design, and the analysis of the cases in architecture and spacial design. As a result, this paper shows that these designs are not just "Simulacre" but the essential eidos, and "content" is the core of these designs which can produce prototype as machine. Also, these designs can relatively be the persuasive methodology for the reflexive modernization.

  • The design of seat is maintaining to final stable posture. The final stable posture is the seated posture in which the force of the pad and spring supporting the body is balanced with the body weight and the bodydoes not sink anyfurther intothe seat. With poorly designed seated seats, your behind maygradually move forward, or localized pressure may result in congestion of the blood or numbness, making you want to move. Therefore, the final stable posture is not maintained. A number of ideas were used in this study will eliminate this problem. In automobile seat design, primary attention has forcused on providing the occupant with a comfortable seat that has sufficient padding and adjuxtments toaccomodate different sizes and postures of people. First of all, whether the process is design-oriented or technology-oriented, the design concept must be human-oriented. The fatigue-alleviating seats which were the primary purpose of this research were studied with a human-oriented approach.

치차장치 설계를 위한 설계지원 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (development of design support system for gear drives)

  • There have been a number of expert systems which are concerned with the design of machine elements such as gear, shaft, bearing and so on. However the design of more complicated systems such as gear dreives are still difficult. Thus, in consideration of the integrative nature of the system, we develop a design support system for gear drives which is composed of various machine elements-gear, shaft, bearing, key and so on. Design systems for each machine element are developed and integrated through object-oriented approach. Databases essential for data reference and/or data control in the design process are built up independently and interface to the main program. Expert systems are also developed and integrated for intelligent support to the designer, in those of the determination of gear specification and the selection of bearing types. Through the integration of design environment for each machine element, it is expected to increase the convenience in the design process and the stability of the design solution. And also the system management, including addition of various design/analysis modules and expansion to the gear drives of other types, can be conveniently achieved since the system has developed under due consideration of its efficiency and expandability through object-oriented programming approach.
