  • The recent growth of cable broadcast technology such as Tru2Way enables the cable service operator to provide more enhanced experiences to cable TV audience. As a result, various applications have been produced and user can easily access cable network to receive multimedia content as well as interactive application in cable environment. In order for current cable technology to be accepted as a web extended technology, a process of web based applications having a web document and multimedia resources, proper web service definition and middleware architecture for existing cable environment should be established. In this paper, we define a web application for cable environment and propose a middIeware architecture which can process web application based on Tru2Way technology

  • The present discourse lasts around, information pollution, causes and concerns of information pollution, internet as a major causality and how it affects the decision making ability of an individual. As, information producers in the process to not to lose the readership of their content, and to cater the information requirements of both the electronic and the print readers, reproduce almost the whole of the printed information in digital form as well. Abundant literature is also equally produced in electronic format only, thereon, sharing this information on hundreds of social networking sites, like, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Flicker, Digg, LinkedIn, etc. without attributions to original authors, have created almost a mess of this whole information produced and disseminated. Accordingly, the study discusses about the sources of information pollution, the aspects of unstructured information along with plagiarism. Towards the end of the paper stress has been laid on information literacy, as how it can prove handy in addressing the issue with some measures, which can help in regulating the behaviour of information producers.

  • This Paper examines the effect of IT knowledge and IT communication on the operational performance of small firms. Small firms which could be defined firms with less than 50 people in total lags behind medium and large firms in computerization. In order to fill up the computerization gap resulted from size differences, Korean government has been promoting the 'Networking Small Firms' project since 2001. Survey data with 698 small firms in Korea, we could find that If knowledge and IT communication significantly contributed to the operational performance of small firms. Internal process performance is affected by individual IT knowledge, traditional communication, and e-mail communication. Customer performance is affected by above three factors, organizational IT knowledge and internet/EDI communication. Interestingly, financial performance is not affected by traditional communication but only IT knowledge and IT communication.

  • This paper introduces a modulation method for digital wireless communication based on general DS-QPSK. The design and fabrication is for home networking application to a typical RF transmitter with DS-QPSK modulator. This modulator implemented using VHDL hardware programming language, the fabrication of IC chip $5{\times}5 mm^2$ was carried by 27th IDEC MPW(Multi Project Wafer) process in 0.35${\mu}m$ rule at Samsung Inc. This paper presented the important of this technology for the future application in wireless sensor. This module can be efficient usage for home network to transmit the RF wireless sensor system.

  • This paper presents the latest Ethernet standardization of in-vehicle network and the future trends of automotive Ethernet technology. The proposed system provides design and optimization algorithms for automotive networking technology related to AVB (Audio Video Bridge) technology. We present a design of in-vehicle network system as well as the optimization of AVB for automotive. A proposal of Reduced Latency of Machine to Machine (RLMM) plays an outstanding role in reducing the latency among devices. RLMM's approach to real-world experimental cases indicates a reduction in latency of around 41.2%. The setup optimized for the automotive network environment is expected to significantly reduce the time in the development and design process. The results obtained in the study of image transmission latency are trustworthy because average values were collected over a long period of time. It is necessary to analyze a latency between multimedia devices within limited time which will be of considerable benefit to the industry. Furthermore, the proposed reliable camera and video streaming through optimized AVB device settings would provide a high level of support in the real-time comprehension and analysis of images with AI (Artificial Intelligence) algorithms in autonomous driving.

  • In accordance with the changes in the wireless communication environment, there has been a great need to satisfy the demand for diverse modes of information exchange. Various types of short-distance wireless communication technology have been developed and studied to meet this demand. Among them, Bluetooth which has recently been acclaimed as the standard for short-distance wireless communication, has been the focus of many such studies. However, Bluetooth has weaknesses in its suuity features when its in security services are applied to Home networks. The purpose of this study is to propose a safe Bluetooth scenario with an upgraded suity feature. This paper first reviews the general characteristics and security features of Bluetooth together with an analysis of its weaknesses, and presents the formation and maintenance process of Bluetooth piconet what is created by using ECDSA and group key in the ACL(Asynchronous Connection-less Link) connection through a safe Bluetooth inquiry process.

  • The current educational software usually has limitations of accessing and mutual communication. Networking Technology can overcome these limitations. Using Internet, students can access the educational resources easily and learning process can be monitored. In this study a virtual experiment program is developed for students to practice the basic electronic experiment, which is a fundamental subject in electronic department curriculum. Students can understand the basic theory and rules easily by simulated experimental process. Almost the same result is obtained as in real experiment because this program is made to simulate the real experiment. The virtual experiment site can be accessed easily by Internet and an experiment is performed based on individual basis without restriction of location and time. This program can be used as fully the real experiment substitution or supplementary educational materials. In both case, it provides many benefits in education.

  • As construction works have become larger and more complex, improving productivity by introducing Information Technology (IT) is pursued and more effective construction management is needed in construction industry. In this circumstance, many different kinds of project management system is being introduced, and various IT technologies are applied such as Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), Bar Code, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Web Camera, and so on. However, these kinds of technologies might cause re-processing of information and ineffectiveness of project because of lack of real time information processing technology or separation between construction sites and management offices. Meanwhile, these technologies rather decrease the construction productivity except for the data saving and database function. Therefore, this research aims to develop Application that can be applied efficiently for construction material management, by understanding problems of former management system with questionnaires and extracting functions with analysis of requirements. In virtue of the construction material management Application which will be developed in this study, it will be possible to input information automatically, to process and check material information in real time, and to identify the location of necessary material. Then, the problem of separation between construction sites and management offices are solved, and as a result, more efficient management of materials in construction sites will become possible. At the same time, this study will investigate the possibility and applicability of new IT device, Smart Phone to construction sites.
