System and Disturbance Identification for Model-Based learning and Repetitive Control

  • An extension of interaction matrix formulation to the problem of system and disturbance identification for a plant that is corrupter by both process and output disturbances is presented. With only an assumed upper bound on the order of the system and an assumed upper bound on the number of disturbance frequencies, it is shown that both the disturbance-free model and disturbance effect can be recovered exactly from disturbance-corrupted input-output data without direct measurement of the periodic disturbances. The rich information returned by the identification can be used by a performance-oriented model-based loaming or repetitive control system to eliminate unwanted periodic disturbances.

Extending the SRIV Identification Algorithm to MIMO LMFD Models

  • In this paper the Simplified Refined Instrumental Variable (SRIV) identification algorithm for SISO systems is extended to MIMO systems described by a Left Matrix Fraction Description (LMFD). The performance of the extended algorithm is compared to the well-known MIMO four-step instrumental variable (IV4) algorithm. Monte Carlo simulations for different signal to noise ratios are conducted to assess the performance of the algorithm. Moreover, the algorithm is applied to a simulated quadruple tank process.

  • The work discusses the problems of modelling of the process of acoustic signal generation in machines. We have pointed out that in the task of minimizing of both moise and vibration, the key problem is identification of sources and paths of propagation, both in terms of their location and of definition of their characteristic features. Properly conducted identification makes possible the use of relatively simple mathematical models and this fact is particularly important for a broad application of the proposed methods in practice.

  • The identification of drilling joint dynamics which consists of drilling and structural dynamics and the on-line time series detection of malfunction process is substantial not only for the investigation of the static and dynamic characteristics but also for the analytic realization of diagnostic and control systems in drilling. Therefore, We have discussed on the comparative assessment of two recursive time series modeling algorithms that can represent the drilling operation and detect the abnormal geometric behaviors in precision roundshape machining such as turning, drilling and boring in precision diemaking. For this purpose, simulation and experimental work were performed to show the malfunctional behaviors for drilling operation. For this purpose, a new two recursive approach (Recursive Extended Instrument Variable Method : REIVM, Recursive Least Square Method : RLSM) may be adopted for the on-line system identification and monitoring of a malfunction behavior of drilling process, such as chipping, wear, chatter and hole lobe waviness.

  • Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) is an enterprise-scale IT architecture for linking software resources available on the network. SOA is believed to become the future enterprise solution that promises the agility and flexibility by integrating business processes through composition of the software services across enterprises. The first step for SOA construction is to identify the services. In this paper, we present a process-based service identification methodology for SOA through a case study of an IT company. Our methodology is composed of three steps: Processes (business & technical processes) analysis and systems analysis, Service candidates selection, and Service evaluation and construction planning. This framework would be practical and could be accepted to other organizations as it has been developed through the real case.

  • The first-order plus dead time(FOPDT) and second-order plus dead time(SOPDT), which describes a linear monotonic process quite well in most chemical and industrial processes and is often sufficient for PID and IMC controller tuning. This paper presents an application of heuristic harmony search(HS) optimization algorithm to the identification of linear continuous time-delay systems from step response. This recently developed HS algorithm is conceptualized using the musical process of searching for a perfect state of harmony. It uses a stochastic random search instead of a gradient search so that derivative information is unnecessary. The effectiveness of the proposed identification method has been demonstrated through a number of simulation examples.

SOA를 위한 온톨로지 기반의 서비스 도출 방법론 (A Methodology for Ontology-based Service Drawing for SOA)

  • Even though several methodologies for SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) have been proposed, in practical aspects most of them have some problems since they fail to propose specific policies in definition and identification of a service. This paper proposes a service modeling methodology. SOMO(Service Oriented Modeling using Ontology), which draws proper services in the process of defining and identifying services. SOMO defines a service ontology based on service definition and characteristics in SOA. The service drawing process consists of 3 steps : requirement analysis, service identification, and service definition. SOMO is expected to increase the degree of reuse and facilitates the definition and search of services by using service ontology. In addition, it clearly allows the definition and identification of services, satisfying the user requirements.

  • This study empirically explored what promotes exploration, through a case analysis of a Korean SME (small and medium sized enterprise), based on the research framework which focuses on the identification and the selection of exploratory NPD (new product development) alternatives, and the accumulation of novel capabilities in new technology domains. The learning process of the exploratory NPD project described is as follows. The identification barrier of exploratory NPD project is relatively low. Constructive crisis is germane to selecting exploratory NPD alternatives and to enduring the long payback period. New separated R&D unit is likely to implement the exploratory NPD project. The length of the gestation period of the exploratory NPD project is related with the level of the conflict between old members and new members. This study identified several antecedents of the exploratory NPD project. Prior success promotes the identification process of the exploratory NPD projects. Constructive crisis is related with CEO's personal characteristics such as future oriented and proactive personality. The proactive involvement and persuasion of CEO are germane to reducing the conflict between old and new members and to the success of the exploratory NPD project. Based on the results, this study discusses several implications and future research directions.

Identification of Volterra Kernels of Nonlinear Van de Vusse Reactor

  • Van de Vusse reactor is known as a highly nonlinear chemical process and has been considered by a number of researchers as a benchmark problem for nonlinear chemical process. Various identification methods for nonlinear system are also verified by applying these methods to Van de Vusse reactor. From the point of view of identification, only the Volterra kernel of second order has been obtained until now. In this paper, the authors show that Volterra kernels of nonlinear Van de Vusse reactor of up to 3rd order are obtained by use of M-sequence correlation method. A pseudo-random M-sequence is applied to Van de Vusse reactor as an input and its output is measured.   • Pattern identification is the process of overall analysis of clinical data to determine the location, cause and nature of a patient's disease and achieving a diagnosis of a pattern and syndrome. In Korean medicine, Pattern identification is very important act. In order to get good Pattern identification act is important to understand the Pattern and syndrom concept. In this studies, I would like to know Qi-Patten and syndrom means in Donguibogam. So, I looking for analysis that could be associated with the Qi-pattern and syndrom in Donguibogam. As a result, Qi-pattern and syndrom related to the Jeongjisang(情志傷). Jeongjisang(情志傷) is used in referring to illness related to unhealthy emotions. It also refers to illness where Jeongji(情志) plays a role in creating a more direct cause of illness in the larger pathogenic process.
