A Study on the Design of Filter Assembly Automation System (Filter 조립 자동화 시스템 설계에 관한 연구)

  • An automation process of filter unit is presented for the application of the assembling procedure and dry furnace work. By that automation procedure, it is expected to enhance working environment such as reducing laboring load, harmful gas, and burning scald. Furthermore, this automation process also minimizes via standardization of manufacturing process so that it may increase productivity and reliability. An automation process of filter unit is presented for the application of the assembling procedure and dry furnace work. Filter automation process also gives a good quality and productivity by simplifying to only one line from the complicated process such as filter cutting$\rightarrow$ adhering$\rightarrow$fabricating in a very small space. It is found that a new conceptual design of dry furnace shows the better quality like uniform heat distribution compared to the conventional design. It is also found that the present design gives a better working environment by adding cooling system.

  • This paper presents the core technology of Construction Business Process Automation to model and automate construction business processes. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Automation (BPA) have been recognized as one of the important aspects in construction business management. However, BPR requires a lot of efforts to identify, document, implement, execute, maintain, and keep track thousands of business processes to deliver a project. Moreover, existing BPA technologies used in existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems do not lend themselves to effective scalability for construction business process management. Application of Workflow and Object Technologies would be quite effective in implementing a scalable enterprise application for construction community. This paper present the technologies and methodologies for automating construction business processes by addressing how: 1) Automated construction management tasks are developed as software components, 2) The process modeling is facilitated by dragging-and dropping task components in a network, 3) Raising business requests and instantiating corresponding process instances are delivered, and 4) Business process instances are executed by using workflow technology based on real-time simulation engine. This paper presents how the construction business process automation is achieved by using equipment reservation and cancellation processes simplified intentionally.

  • In this paper, a study on automation method for the circuit/EM (Electro-Magnetic) simulation is carried out to analyze effectively the SI/PI (Signal Integrity/Power Integrity) issues which occur on circuits and/or PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards). For the automation of the circuit/EM simulation, algorithms performing each process of the SI/PI analysis automatically (such as ports setup, circuit definition and SI/PI evaluation) are developed; thereby automation system for the SI/PI analysis is constructed with the algorithms. The automation of the circuit/EM simulation is accomplished in the environment of the C/S (Client/Server) architecture in order to reduce resources such as high cost computers demanded for the SI/PI analysis. The automation method for the SI/PI analyses proposed in this paper reduces effort, time, and cost spent on the environment setup for simulation and the SI/PI analysis process. In addition, the proposed method includes automation of the documenting process, which organizes, records and displays the SI/PI analysis results automatically for users.

  • In this study, an automation assembly jig for the automation assembly process for the ventilation grille that is used in the interior of a car Is developed. As the method that can do the automation assembly for the ventilation grille, a simple jig and air cylinder have been applied. And a solenoid valve, a filter regulator, and on-off switch have been used in controlling the system. Moreover, the timer is attached to the equipment so that a worker may control the assembly time, as fitting the quantity on demand of production. Actually with executing the assembly test productivity and performance of assembly have been verified. In case of the automation assembly work for a ventilation grille is compared to the manual work. The optimum working speed has been identified to make the process twice or three times better.

  • This research presents efficient operation schemes that is emphasized on mailing center's automation parts. We utilized the automation indicator to analyzed the mailing center system. For automation of the mailing center, we proposed the sorting automation alternative of registered mail, automation of conveyance system between workshops and the Up-Grade scheme for process improvement in mailing center. The selection of the registered mailing f s automation alternatives is composed of the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. Through the analysis of the space and the quantity of materials, the simulation experiments are conducted to examine conveyance equipment possibility of the mailing center. By simplifying the mailing center conceptually, we proposed the upgrade of process for the mailing center system. The result of this research can give some ideas to people who are formulating a policy for the mailing center operation.

  • In this era that technology is replacing human labor is coming. Like the introduction of Factory Automation and Smart Factory to enhance the productivity in manufacturing works in companies, RPA (Robotic Process Automation) is being applied to strengthen the competiveness in service & office work of companies. But, RPA itself is not mature enough to be the specific technology or solution, but burgeoning as the conceptual technology alternatives to automate the business process harnessed with the concept of software robots, artificial intelligence etc. The biggest difference that the introduction of RPA can make is the transition of the work based on 'human labor', to the 'digital labor' that could result in the replacement of human labor itself with that. Considering this kind of impact to change the concept of labor, the discussion for the future policy for this is inevitable. In this paper, beginning from the overview of RPA, relevant concerns & consideration for the application of RPA will be described based on the understanding of industrial & technology trends and expected future of RPA.

  • At present, using different method, in the view of point of that factory to the rising of the productivity, they try to rise productivity by factory automation. First, it is the automation of each unit process. In out country, in the case of a few developed factory. they are realized by line automation. The majority factories are established by automation device of unit process. But, as the established devices, it must be connect between unit processes or mutual assistance and offical automation in order to raise up productivity highly. In this paper, process inspection control system is installed by each unit process automation and connect main computer with them. So, we try to rise high productivity using stochastic process and supervision function.

  • Although polishing process take 30-50% of whole process of manufacturing die and mold it has not been fully automat-ed yet. Considering current trend of manufacturing it is necessary to study on polishing automation. To accomplish automation reliable database must be developed. For developing it polishing mechanism should be defined and a general empirical formula that can be applied widely should be created. In this paper it is found that polishing process must be separated into 2 process such as removing cusp and getting fine surface process and the polishing parameter which is com-posed of major machining parameters and normalization of data can be applied efficiently in making reliable database.
