  • New scouring agent which was stable up to 50% NaOH 350g/l has been developed for simultaneous CPB/silket treatment of N/C union fabric. The physical and dyeing properties of N/C union fabric treated with new scouring agent were measured. Fabric scoured and Mercerized by one bath CPB/silket process showed almost the same degree of Mercerization and K/S value with two bath process.

  • We investigate the optimal consumption and investment decision problem of an agent whose time preference is time-inconsistent. Specifically, for a time-separable utility function, the agent's subjective discount factor is supposed to be changed randomly in the future. We provide closed-form solutions in the presence of income process. The method can be extended into the case with a stochastic income process.

  • The characteristics of cell growth and foamed cell structures of PP were investigated by a continuous foaming process. The operating parameters were the contents of blowing agent and nucleating agent, nucleating agent contents, die temperatures and die dimensions. The foaming cells grew without collapse at less than 14.5 wt% of blowing agent, isopentane. But the cells were collapsed when the blowing agent content was more than 14.5 wt%. The foam density dramatically decreased when a very small amount of the nucleating agent, 1 wt%, was added. After the nucleating agent was added, the cell's weight plummeted to one-seventh of its previous weight. Stable foam cell structures were formed at the die temperature of 17$0^{\circ}C$. However, the effects of the pressure drop rate on the cell morphology were not serious.

  • One of the major issues in emerging cloud management system needs the efficient service level agreement negotiation framework, with an optimal negotiation strategy. Most researchers focus mainly on the atomic service negotiation model, with the assistance of the Agent Controller in the broker part to reduce the total negotiation time, and communication overhead to some extent. This research focuses mainly on composite service negotiation, to further minimize both the total negotiation time and communication overhead through the pre-request optimization of broker strategy. The main objective of this research work is to introduce an Automated Dynamic Service Level Agreement Negotiation Framework (ADSLANF), which consists of an Intelligent Third-party Broker for composite service negotiation between the consumer and the service provider. A broker consists of an Intelligent Third-party Broker Agent, Agent Controller and Additional Agent Controller for managing and controlling its negotiation strategy. The Intelligent third-party broker agent manages the composite service by assigning its atomic services to multiple Agent Controllers. Using the Additional Agent Controllers, the Agent Controllers manage the concurrent negotiation with multiple service providers. In this process, the total negotiation time value is reduced partially. Further, the negotiation strategy is optimized in two stages, viz., Classified Similarity Matching (CSM) approach, and the Truncated Negotiation Group Gale Shapely Stable Matching (TNGGSSM) approach, to minimize the communication overhead.

  • An intelligent distributed multi-agent system (IDMS) using reinforcement learning (RL) is a challenging and intricate problem in which single or multiple agent(s) aim to achieve their specific goals (sub-goal and final goal), where they move their states in a complex and cluttered environment. The environment provided by the IDMS provides a cumulative optimal reward for each action based on the policy of the learning process. Most actions involve interacting with a given IDMS environment; therefore, it can provide the following elements: a starting agent state, multiple obstacles, agent goals, and a cluttered index. The reward in the environment is also reflected by RL-based agents, in which agents can move randomly or intelligently to reach their respective goals, to improve the agent learning performance. We extend different cases of intelligent multi-agent systems from our previous works: (a) a proposed environment-clutter-based-index for agent sub-goal selection and analysis of its effect, and (b) a newly proposed RL reward scheme based on the environmental clutter-index to identify and analyze the prerequisites and conditions for improving the overall system.

  • As home network system begins serving in earnest, the recent fruits of research in home service robot show that the new epoch that human and intelligent robots are living, communicating and interacting together at home, may come true in the near future. In the other hand, it is generally known that the multiagent system, performing distributed process together with other different devices in a home network system, is better than single robot or single home server for adapting themselves to home environment and completing their mission because the characteristic of home environment is 'open'. Therefore, in this paper we suggest the framework model to define agents, which is needed lot the home with a home network system, and the communication protocol architecture between agents. For this, we focus our attention on an agent comprising the set of many agent instances rather than the single intelligent or ability of a robot or home server, and also suggest the way of adaptation for agent systems to their environments and interaction with human in the manner of cooperation and negotiation among agents or agent instances in each agent.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient internet-based logistics brokerage concept which can overcome the weakness of the traditional off-line method to intermediate between vehicle owners and shippers for matching empty vehicles and freights. For defining a business model based on the new concept and implementing an information system, it is necessary to analyze the business process for the internet-based logistics brokerage using a modeling methodology. In this paper, we analyze the logistics brokerage process using the UN/CEFACT Modeling Methodology (UMM) being utilized as a standard modeling methodology in the area of electronic commerce. After analyzing the business process, we can expect that the UMM can be used as a useful tool for modeling the business process of electronic commerce in which the description of the collaborative work is very important.

  • In this study, a PDMS-based low-elasticity magnetorheological elastomer (MRE) was fabricated and the Taguchi method was used to identify the factors affecting the elastic modulus. The mixing entropy was calculated using optical microscopy to confirm particle dispersion, which was referenced in the process establishment. In the MRE process, four parameters, namely the curing agent, particle type, particle fraction, and applied magnetic field, were divided into three levels. The elastic modulus of the specimen was compared at the off-state and at 0.2 T using compression tests, and the obtained signal to noise ratio indicated that the softness and change in the elastic modulus of the MRE was mainly affected by the curing agent and the particle fraction.

  • To obtain the basic data of the effect of antimicrobic finishing on chrome-tanned leather for apparel, it was studied that the specimens given from each step of manufacturing process, that is, steps before and after neutralization and after fixation were treated with Si-QAC as a antimicrobic finishing agent, and the antimicrobic activity was evaluated. The results were as follows: 1. The bacterial reduction of the specimens finished antimicrobically were 100% and 94.4% before and after neutralization respectively, however, the specimens carried out successive process after antimicrobic finishing exhibited the reduction of 16.5% and 14.8%. It was assumed that the antimicrobic agent was washed off by the successive process. 2. When the antimicrobic finishing was carried out on the specimens after fixation the bacterial reduction was 95.0% and then the specimen carried out successive process was 97.3%. This result indicates that antimicrobic finishing on the leather would be given after fixation rather than before and after neutralization.

  • In this study, the alkaline degreasing agent was developed for electroplating pretreatment process, and the efficiency and the durability was predicted. The alkaline deeping degreasing agent was prepared by blending sodium hydroxide (NaOH), sodium carbonate ($Na_2CO_3$), sodium silicate ($Na_2SiO_3$), and sodium lauric sulfate (SLS). The performance tests of the degreasing agent were evaluated in the $40{\sim}50^{\circ}C$ of the degreasing temperature and 30~40 min of the degreasing time. The efficiency and durability of the prepared degreasing agent were tested by the waterdrop formation test and Hull-cell plating test. The optimum ratio of alkaline degreasing agent was NaOH (30 g/L) + SLS (6.0 g/L) + $Na_2SiO_3$ (2.0 g/L) + $Na_2CO_3$ (40 g/L). Also, the optimum degreasing conditions were $50^{\circ}C$ of the degreasing temperature and 35 min of the degreasing time.
