변성 페놀 수지의 분자량 변화에 따른 잉크 비히클의 물성 변화에 관한 연구 (The Rheological Behaviours for Ink Vehicle According to Molecular Weight of Rosin Modified Phenolic Resin)

  • Generally, printing inks are composed of pigment, vehicle and additive. Among others, the vehicle transfers the pigment to substrate and then binds it on the surface. So, rheological properties of the vehicle are an important factor which has influence on printability. Thus, in this study, rheology of the vehicle was investigated by using rotational rheometer according to molecular weight of resin. Also, emlusion rheology of water in oil type and its microstructure were examined with increasing the shear rate. Consequently, the following results were obtained: (1) By viscometric flow test, zero shear viscosity and shear thinning index of vehicle increased with increasing the molecular weight of resin. (2) By relaxation and creep test, relaxation time and retardation time of vehicle increased with increasing the molecular weight of resin. (3) By frequency sweep test, crossover point of vehicle increased with increasing the molecular weight of resin. (4) G' and G" of emlusions increased with increasing the molecular weight by amplitude sweep test. (5) The shape of water drop in emlusions was changed to the capillary tube.

Polymer Dielectrics and Orthogonal Solvent Effects for High-Performance Inkjet-Printed Top-Gated P-Channel Polymer Field-Effect Transistors

  • We investigated the effects of a gate dielectric and its solvent on the characteristics of top-gated organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Despite the rough top surface of the inkjet-printed active features, the charge transport in an OFET is still favorable, with no significant degradation in performance. Moreover, the characteristics of the OFETs showed a strong dependency on the gate dielectrics used and its orthogonal solvents. Poly(3-hexylthiophene) OFETs with a poly(methyl methacrylate) dielectric showed typical p-type OFET characteristics. The selection of gate dielectric and solvent is very important to achieve high-performance organic electronic circuits.

Recent advances in the reconstruction of cranio-maxillofacial defects using computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing

  • With the development of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology, it has been possible to reconstruct the cranio-maxillofacial defect with more accurate preoperative planning, precise patient-specific implants (PSIs), and shorter operation times. The manufacturing processes include subtractive manufacturing and additive manufacturing and should be selected in consideration of the material type, available technology, post-processing, accuracy, lead time, properties, and surface quality. Materials such as titanium, polyethylene, polyetheretherketone (PEEK), hydroxyapatite (HA), poly-DL-lactic acid (PDLLA), polylactide-co-glycolide acid (PLGA), and calcium phosphate are used. Design methods for the reconstruction of cranio-maxillofacial defects include the use of a pre-operative model printed with pre-operative data, printing a cutting guide or template after virtual surgery, a model after virtual surgery printed with reconstructed data using a mirror image, and manufacturing PSIs by directly obtaining PSI data after reconstruction using a mirror image. By selecting the appropriate design method, manufacturing process, and implant material according to the case, it is possible to obtain a more accurate surgical procedure, reduced operation time, the prevention of various complications that can occur using the traditional method, and predictive results compared to the traditional method.

산화물박막 증착에 의한 금속 메쉬전극 구조 광전기화학셀의 효율 개선에 관한 연구 (Efficiency Improvement of Metal-Mesh Electrode Type Photoelectrochemical Cells by Oxides Layer Coatings)

  • In this work, the $TiO_2$ and $SnO_2$ thin films as blocking layers were coated directly onto the metal-mesh electrode surface to prevent unnecessary inflow of back-transfer electrons from the electrolyte ($I^-/I_3^-$) to the metal-mesh electrode. The DSCs were fabricated with working electrode of SUS mesh coated with blocking $TiO_2$ and $SnO_2$ layers, dye-attached mesoporous $TiO_2$ film, gel electrolyte and counter electrode of Pt-deposited F:$SnO_2$. From the experimental result, it was ascertained that the efficiency of metal electrode coated with $TiO_2$ by Dip-coating was superior to that of metal electrode coated with $SnO_2$ by Dip-coating and screen printing with the results of experiments. The photo-current conversion efficiency of the cell obtained from optimum fabrication condition was 3% ($V_{oc}$=0.61V, $J_{sc}$=11.64 mA/$cm^2$, ff=0.64) under AM1.5, 100 mW/$cm^2$ illumination.

$BiNbO_4$세라믹스를 이용한 저역통과 필터에 관한 연구 (Experimental Fabrication of Low Pass Filter of $BiNbO_4$ Ceramics)

  • $BiNbO_4$ ceramics doped with 0.07wt% $V_2O_5$ and 0.03wt% CuO (BNC3V7) were sucessfully sintered at $900^{\circ}C$ through the firing process with Ag electrode. The BNC3V7 shows typically Dielectric constant of 44.3, Thermal Coefficient of resonance Frequency(TCF) of 2 ppm/$^{\circ} and $Qxf_o$ value of 22,000 GHz. The laminated chip Low Pass Filter (LPF) is very sensitive to chip processing parameters, was confirmed by the computer simulation as a function of Q(Quality factors), filter size, capacitor layer thickness, inductor pattern widths. The multilayer type LPF was fabricated by screen-printing with Ag electrode after tape casting and then compared with the simulated characteristics. The results show that characterization of band pass width was similar to that of designed ones.

Solder Paste로 접합된 비아볼의 Ball-off에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Ball-off of Via Balls Bonded by Solder Paste)

  • Package reliability test was conducted to investigate the effect of solder paste composition at BGA Package. It was found that the shape and size of the phase form are affected by the processing parameters. The material have used to fill in the via was Sn/36Pb/2Ag and Sn/0.75Cu type solder paste. Sn/36Pb/2Ag and Sn/0.75Cu paste were fabricated on Tape-BGA substrates by screen printing process, and via ball mount data were characterized with variations of dwell time of 85 seconds at reflow peak temperature at 22$0^{\circ}C$ or 24$0^{\circ}C$. The test condition was MRT 30 $^{\circ}C$/60 %RH/96 HR. Failures formed of a ball-off in solder paste process were observed by using a Optical Microscope and SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope). It was concluded that intermetallic layer growth played important roles in increasing solder fatigue strength for addition of Ag composition. The degradation of shear strength of solder composition is discussed.

고온 초전도 전류제한기용 후막의 특성 연구 (A Study on Characterization of Thick Film used as Superconducting Fault Current Limiter)

  • In this paper, to fabricate a superconducting fault current limiter(FCL) of thick film type, $YBa_2Cu_3O_X superconducting thick films were fabricated by surface diffusion process using the screen printing method. Powder mixture of $3BaCuO_2$+2CuO was screen printed on $Y_2BaCuO_5$(d=15mm). And critical current densities of the thick films were observed as the sintering temperature(92$0^{\circ}C$~95$0^{\circ}C$) and holding time(2h~10h). Based on experimental data, the thick films for superconducting FCL were sintered at $940^{\circ}C$ in 2 hours. The superconducting FCL with a current limiting area of 1mm wide and 66mm long was prepared on $Y_2BaCuO_5$ substrate. To measure the characterization of the fabricated FCL, an alternating voltage (60Hz) was applied to the FCL in 77K liquid nitrogen. At an applied voltage of 4V, the FCL was limited from 20A into 0.6A not farther than 0.5ms.

잉크젯 프린팅 기술을 이용한 플렉서블 온·습도센서 개발 (Fabrication of Flexible Temperature & Humidity Sensor Using Inkjet-printing Technology)

  • This paper presents the inkjet-printed flexible temperature and humidity sensor(F-TH sensor) using PEDOT:PSS. The series, mesh and parallel type sensing element using PEDOT:PSS ink was printed on the overhead projector(OHP) film. The fabricated sensor of each structure has the temperature sensitivity of $140{\Omega}/^{\circ}C$, $29{\Omega}/^{\circ}C$ and $1.4{\Omega}/^{\circ}C$ with linearity, respectively. Also the fabricated sensor was not only possible to measure a temperature, but also to detect humidity. The humidity sensitivity of $400{\Omega}/%RH$, $3.4{\Omega}/%RH$ and $3{\Omega}/%RH$ with linearity, respectively. The fabricated F-TH sensor is expected for the various applications such as electronic devices, bio-healthcare, industrial field.

나노카본을 이용한 조명용 신광원에 관한 연구 (Study of New Light Source with Nano Carbon Material)

  • The characteristic of carbon nano fiber (CNF) as electron emitters was described. Carbon nano fiber (CNF) of herringbone was prepared by thermal chemical vapor deposition(CVD), mixed with binders and conductive materials, and then were formed by screen-printing process. In order to increase effectively field emissions, the surface treatment of rubbing & peel-off was applied to the printed CNF emitters on cathode electrode. The measurements of field emission properties were carried out by using a diode structure inline vacuum chamber. CNF of herringbone type showed good emission properties that a turn on field was as low as $2.5V/{\mu}m$ and current density was as large as $0.15mA/cm^2$ of $4.5V/{\mu}m$ with electric field. After the vacuum packaged panel of 5-inch in diagonal, the measured white brightness was as high as $7000cd/m^2$ at 1900V of anode and 700V of gate voltage.

  • In this study, we used screen printing on the rear glass with silver electrodes, phosphor and a dielectric which is on the silver electrodes, and carried out firing in the temperature of $550^{\circ}C$, $570^{\circ}C$, $450^{\circ}C$ each. To seal the rear and top glass together, we used crystalline frit paste as a sealing material with dispenser and carried out firing up to $450^{\circ}C$. As using this panel, we focused on optimizing the condition which influences characteristics of discharging by the distance between electrodes, electrode structure, type and pressure of gases for FFL.
