3D 프린팅 Auxetic Re-entrant 패턴의 기울기 각도에 따른 네오프렌 복합 직물의 역학적 특성에 관한 연구 (Mechanical Properties of 3D Printed Re-entrant Pattern/Neoprene Composite Textile by Pattern Tilting Angle of Pattern)

  • This study confirmed the mechanical properties of an auxetic re-entrant pattern prepared using 3D printing technology and its composite fabric with neoprene for the production of functional auxetic patterns/textiles for safety shoes. Samples were prepared by the tilt angle of a re-entrant pattern of 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 90°, and then analyzed using Poisson's ratio, bending, compression, and tensile properties. A 3D printed auxetic re-entrant pattern (3DP-RE) and its composite fabric (3DP-RE/NP) showed a negative Poisson's ratio in all tilting angles that indicated auxetic properties. The results of the bending property shown that strength of 3DP-RE/NP was 1.5 times lower than NP, but the strain improved 2.0 times. It was confirmed that the deformation of 3DP-RE/NP is possible with a low load. Each sample type of compression behavior indicated similar regardless of the tilting angles; in addition, the compression toughness of 3DP-RE/NP increased 1.2 times compared with NP. In the case of tensile properties, 3DP-RE and 3DP-RE/NP were affected by the tilting angle, samples with 90° (the opposite of load direction) showed best tensile property and toughness. 3DP-RE/NP indicated improved bending, compression, and tensile properties.

3D 프린팅된 표면의 슬라이딩 방향에 따른 트라이볼로지적 특성 연구 (A Study on Tribological Properties of 3D-Printed Surface with Respect to Sliding Orientation)

  • This paper presents an experimental investigation of friction and wear characteristic with respect to patterns occurring on the surface of 3D printed polymer products by fused deposition modeling method. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the patterns and sliding directions on the tribological properties of 3D printed polymer surface. A cubic specimen was printed using polylactic acid filament as the printing material. Friction tests were conducted for different directions with respect to the patterns that were generated on the top and the side surfaces of the specimen, by using a ball-on-reciprocating type tribotester. SUJ2 bearing ball of which the diameter was 11 times greater than the width of the largest pattern was used as the counter surface to assess the frictional behavior. Friction tests were conducted on the top and the side surfaces with respect to the patterns in 3 (0°, 45°, 90°) different directions respectively. Coefficient of friction increased as cycles increased in all cases. The results of the tests showed that the lowest coefficient of friction was measured with the 45° sliding direction on the side surface. The wear rate was the lowest at 45° sliding direction on the side surface, while it was the highest at 0° sliding direction on the top surface. Coefficient of friction of about 0.45 was determined to be the converging value on the top compared to the side surface.

  • 최근 RFID, 유연디스플레이, 태양전지, 전자 종이 등의 소자를 프린팅 방식을 이용하여 생산하려는 연구가 활발하게 진행 되고 있다. 이런 방식이 기존의 노광기술과 식각기술에 의존하는 반도체 공정에 비해 가격 경쟁력에서 우수하기 때문이다. 특히 RFID, 유연디스플레이, 태양전지, 전자 종이 등은 유연성과 대량생산을 필요로 하기 때문에 롤투롤(roll to roll)공정과 같은 저가격화, 대형생산화에 관심이 집중되고 있다. 이 롤투롤 기술을 사용하기 위해서는 인쇄 패턴의 빠른 구현, 표면 균일도, 두께 등의 높은 인쇄 품질이 보장 되어야 한다. 본 연구는 실험계획법(Design of Experiment)을 적용하여 인자들의 주효과와 교호작용 효과를 분석하고, 롤투롤 전자인쇄 시스템에서 닙 롤의 특성에 따른 인쇄 품질의 영향과 인쇄 품질의 향상 방안을 찾기 위한 매칭기술을 제안 하였다.

그라비어 인쇄용 Ag Paste의 레오로지 특성에 따른 전도성 패턴의 물성 연구 (A Study on Properties of Conductive Pattern by the Rheology Characteristics of Ag Pastes for Gravure Printing)

  • We have manufactured Ag pastes for gravure printing by adding different solvent contents. Then the gravure printability and properties of conductive patterns gravure-printed by the different rheology characteristics of pastes were investigated. The dispersity of pastes was increased and the viscosity and shear rate dependence of viscosity for pastes were decreased by increasing the solvent content. Also storage modulus G', loss modulus G" and angular frequency value when G" starts to be bigger than G' of pastes were increased by decreasing the solvent content. These mean a flow drop of paste. As a result of gravure printing using two plates which have different line counts(175line and 350line), conductive patterns printed using 175line were spreaded more but Ag packing, thickness and conductivity of the conductive patterns were better than those printed using 350line. And the spread values of conductive patterns were increased with solvent contents but the best properties for Ag packing, surface roughness and conductivity of the conductive pattern were obtained by paste (3) which has 550cps of viscosity at $100s^{-1}$ and tan ${\delta}$ > 1 at 10rad/s. As a result of gravure printing using 350 line plate and paste (3), the conductive pattern has $1.2{\mu}m$ of film thickness and $1.9{\times}10^{-5}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ of conductivity.

체인 코드 트리밍과 가중 원형 정합을 이용한 인쇄체 숫자 인식 (Machine-printed Numeral Recognition using Weighted Template Matching with Chain Code Trimming)

  • 본 논문에서는 인쇄체 숫자를 인식하기 위해 가중 원형 정합(weighted template matching) 방법을 제안한다. 원형 정합은 입력 영상 전체를 하나의 전역적인 특징으로 처리하는데 반해, 제안된 가중 원형 정합은 패턴의 특징이 나타나는 국부적인 영역에 해밍 거리(Hamming distance)의 가중치를 두어 패턴 특징을 강조하여 숫자 패턴의 인식률을 높인다. 또한 원형 정합은 영상을 이진화(binarization)할 때 발생되는 패턴의 윤곽선을 울퉁불퉁하게 만드는 랜덤 노이즈에 취약하다. 이러한 랜덤 노이즈를 제거하기 위해 본 논문에서는 체인 코드 트리밍(chain code trimming)방법을 제안한다. 체인 코드 트리밍은 패턴의 외부 윤곽선과 내부 윤곽선의 체인 코드 분석을 통해 특정 유형의 체인 코드를 제거, 교정함으로써 이루어진다. 실험에서는 기존의 원형 정합을 사용했을 때와 체인 코드 트리밍을 한 후 가중 원형 정합을 사용했을 때의 혼돈 행렬(confusion matrix)을 서로 비교한다. 실험 결과는 본 논문에서 제안한 방법에 의해 인쇄체 숫자의 인식률이 크게 향상된 것을 보인다.

은 나노 분말과 카본 잉크를 이용한 완전 인쇄형 NFC 태그 설계 (Design of a Full-Printed NFC Tag Using Silver Nano-Paste and Carbon Ink)

  • 본 논문에서는 은 나노 분말과 카본 잉크를 이용하여 13.56 MHz에서 동작하는 완전 인쇄형 NFC 태그를 설계 및 제작하였다. 제안된 NFC 태그는 50 pF의 내부 커패시턴스를 갖는 NFC 태그 IC에 적용하기 위해서, $2.74{\mu}H$의 인덕턴스를 갖는 원형 코일을 PI 필름 위에 설계하였으며, 전통적인 회로 제작 방식인 PCB 제조 공정에 비해 대면적 및 대량 생산, 저비용, 친환경공정 등의 장점을 가진 인쇄 전자 기술인 스크린 프린팅 기법을 이용하여 제작하였다. 제안된 구조는 단일 층으로 구현된 원형 코일, 코일 외곽과 중심부 사이에 칩 실장을 위한 점퍼 패턴, 그리고 코일과 점퍼 패턴과의 절연을 위한 절연 패턴으로 구성되어 있으며, 은 나노 분말과 카본 잉크를 이용하여 전도성 패턴과 절연 패턴을 중첩 인쇄하여 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제안된 NFC 태그의 성능 검증을 위해 인쇄선폭, 두께, 선저항, 밀착력 그리고 환경 신뢰성 평가 등을 수행하였으며, 완전 인쇄형 제작 방식 기반 NFC 태그의 적합성을 확인하였다.

Investigation of 3D Printed Electrically Small Folded Spherical Meander Wire Antenna

  • The radiation properties and fabrication precautions of a 3D printed, electrically small folded spherical meander wire monopole antenna are investigated. The antenna is self-resonant and shows sufficiently high radiation efficiency at an electrical size ka of 0.4, with the radiation quality factor Q approaching the lower physical bound. In antenna fabrication, the possible structural deformation due to gravity is examined before the antenna frame is 3D-printed. The required conductivity is achieved by multiple manual paintings of a silver paste. The radiation efficiency and pattern show very good agreement with the computed expectations, whereas the resonant frequency deviates by 11.8%. The method to minimize such a fabrication error when using 3D printing technology for wire antennas is discussed.

  • In this research, we present color filter which is patterned by screen printing method. Analysis of screen printing process, screen printing system, experiment for uniform printing in large area, characteristics of screen printed CF are investigated .In spite of limitation of precision, screen printed color filter is very cost- effective in respect of manufacturing facility and ink usage.

  • We found a high yield synthetic route to organic-soluble metal nanoparticles in the concentrated organic phase. The organic phase contains metal salt, amines, fatty acids, nonpolar solvent, and reducing agent. Even using only generic chemicals, organic-soluble silver and copper nanoparticles could be easily obtained by this simple and rapid reaction scheme at large scale. The hydrocarbon-protected metal nanoparticles showed excellent dispersion properties and were successfully printed onto polymer substrates. The printed pattern was heated at $200^{\circ}C$, which showed very low specific electrical resistance (< 10 uOhm$\cdot$cm), sufficient for conducting line of various printable devices.

  • Study that form micro pattern by direct ink jet printing method is getting attention recently. Direct ink jet printing spout fine droplet including nano metal particle by force or air pressure. There is reason which ink jet printing method is profitable especially in a various micro-patterning technology. It can embody patterns directly without complex process such as mask manufacture or screen-printing for existent lithography. In this study, research of a technology that ejects fine droplet form of Pico liter and forms metal micro pattern was carried with inkjet head of piezoelectricity drive system. Droplet established pattern while ejecting consecutively and move on the surface at the fixed speed. Patterns formed in ink are mixed with organic solvent and polymer that act as binder. So added thermal hardening process after evaporate organic solvent at isothermal after printing. I executed high frequency special quality estimation of CPW transmission line to confirm electrical property of manufactured circuit board. We tried a large area printing to confirm application possibility of an ink jet technology.
