미국 문헌정보학 대학원의 기록관리학 교육과정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Archives and Records Management Programs in the Schools of Library and Information Science in the U.S.A.)

  • 본 연구는 미국의 문헌정보학 대학원에서 이루어지고 있는 기록관리교육 프로그램을 분석함으로써 한국의 기록관리학 교과과정개발에 필요한 요소를 찾아내고자 하였다. 웹사이트 분석과 문헌연구를 통하여 기록관리교육이 이루어지고 있는 문헌정보학 대학원의 소속 및 명칭 학위 명칭 및 과정, 이수학점, 필수과목과 선택과목, 실습, 연구, 시설, SAA지침서를 비교하였다. 미국에서 기록관리교육이 중점적으로 이루어지고 있는 문헌정보학 대학원은 많지 않았으며 SAA 지침서에서 제시한 기록관리지식을 모두 반영하지 못하는 대학원이 대부분이었다. 이는 기록관리학이 문헌정보학 대학원 안에서 이루어지는 특성화 프로그램의 한계로 볼 수 있었다. 기록관리학의 핵심 교과과정은 역사와 기록물 보존, 기록물과 레코드경영, 정보 기술, 경영원칙, 실무 경험, 연구와 석사학위 논문으로 정리할 수 있었으며 교육 기관과 현장이 함께 많은 연구와 대화를 나눔으로써 이러한 요소를 중심으로 한 기록관리 분야의 교육이 제대로 이루어질 수 있을 것이다.

우리나라 생태복원분야 정착의 전망과 과제 (View and Subjects on the Settling the Area of Ecological Restoration in Korea)

  • According to the new general movement of ESSD in Korea, the role, background, and subjects, etc. of Ecological Restoration Area were studied to find out the way for this area to be settled as one kind of industry. Questionnaire and literature study were carried out to understand and to find out the way of the area settlement with the conceptual and practical definition of it. The related sub-areas studied were 1. regulations and standards including design and construction 2. researches and developments around the area 3. related curriculums applying in the educational organizations 4. present situation of the industry. Followings are the results of this study and several proposals for the area to be settled in Korea with the other related areas. 1. The boundary of Ecological Restoration could be defined as the concept of preservation(or conservation) and restoration of the ecosystem with ecological planting - including the restoration strategies for the areas of slope, artificial foundations, watersides and wetlands, with in bio-diversity and eco-forests for these areas. 2. It seems that the more investments needed for the elaborate and professional techniques to be developed for the design and construction works to the contrary that the base of this area be matured already in the several sub-areas. 3. For the successful work of Environmental Restoration, defining the new industrial branch -independent from existing construction industry- is recommended through the law system under the control of the Ministry of Environment. It will be better if professional officer system in governmental organization could follow up this. 4. Educational organization and Technical expert qualifying system to train the Ecological Restoration Professionals should be induced for the effective practice of the area.

Fresh Produce Container Operated with a Routine of Hypobaric Application, CO2 Injection and Diffusion Tube Opening for Keeping Beneficial Modified Atmosphere

  • A concept of household container to create and keep the modified atmosphere (MA) beneficial for fresh produce mix was devised and tested under typical chilled storage conditions of 3℃. The container system containing mixed products is initialized by applying weak hypobaric condition (0.9 atm) and subsequently injecting CO2 gas at an appropriate low level (0.03 atm). The passive atmosphere modification by produce respiration is then induced to reach a target until gas diffusion tube of proper dimension starts to open. The design was made to attain quasi-steady state mass balance of O2, CO2 and N2 to maintain the desired MA through the storage. Interrupted opening for taking out or placing some products was to reinitialize the loop of control logic. The developed concept was tested by the container which held commodities of spinach, pak choi, oyster mushroom, peeled onion, strawberry and cut carrot. The target optimum MA of 11% O2 and 10% CO2 (0.11 and 0.10 atm, respectively) was set to avoid injurious range of O2 and CO2 concentrations for any commodities. The developed container system could work to reach and maintain beneficial MA of 0.10-0.12 atm O2 and 0.07-0.10 atm CO2 close to the target during the storage contributing to quality retention of products measured in weight loss, chlorophyll content of spinach, ascorbic acid content of pak choi, color of onion, texture of oyster mushroom, bacterial count of strawberry and carotenoids of carrot. The container system shows potential to improve current preservation practice of fresh produce mix on consumers' level.

식생활교육지원법과 중학교 식생활교육 - 2007 개정 가정 교과서의 식생활 영역을 중심으로 (Dietary Education Support Act and Middle School Dietary Education - Focusing on the Dietary Section of the Revised 2007 Home Economics Textbooks)

  • 본 연구는 식생활교육지원법에 제시된 식생활교육의 기본방향이 중학교 기술가정교과서의 식생활 단원에 어떻게 반영되어 있는지를 살펴보기 위한 것으로, 11종의 2007개정 교과서를 대상으로 하였다. 조사결과 모든 교과서들이 식생활교육지원법에 명시된 식생활교육의 기본방향 - 건전한 식습관 형성, 식생활 체험활동 촉진, 환경친화적인 식생활 실천, 전통 식생활 문화 계승과 지역 농수산물의 활용 등 - 에 대체로 부합하는 구성 및 서술을 담고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 그림, 사진, 그래프 등의 시각적 자료, 신문기사, 흥미를 유발할 수 있는 작은 이야기 등의 활용에서는 상당한 차이를 보였다.

원주지역 대학생의 거주형태에 따른 가공식품 관련 식행동과 식품표시 인식 (A College Students' Dietary Behavior for Processed Foods and the Level of Perception on Food Labeling System According to Residence Type in Won Ju Province)

  • This study was performed to find out the correct recognition and stabilization of the food labeling system, and the dietary behavior of college students for processed food as well as their recognition of the food labeling system as observed according to their residence type. A questionnaire was composed with three divisions containing general items, the dietary behavior for processed food and the effectiveness of the nutrition labeling system. The data was analyzed by SPSS WIN 17.0 and the results are as follows; The findings showed differences according to residence type were the intake frequency of processed food, the ways of preservation and the reasons of returning or exchange of the purchased processed food. And there was no difference in the recognition of dietary behavior for processed food and food nutrition labeling system. For overall perception of the dietary behavior and the recognition of the food labeling system, the ratio of college students who considered selection standard related to health when purchasing processed food was low. And the ratio of those who checked the label for milk and dairy products or instant food which is concerned with decomposition was high. On the contrary, the ratio of checking was relatively low for beverages, noodles and cookies. Many answered that the reason for having checked the food label was to find out the safety of the food and that of having read the nutrition label was to control weight and to check the nutrition ingredients. In general, many answered positively for the recognition and the necessity of food labeling system, but the actual practice of selecting and managing processed food was poor.

  • "Uihakdokseogi(醫學讀書記)" is a casual work which mentions Ujaekyeong(尤在涇)'s thoughts on various problems found through extensive studying or in practice. The book does not focus on a single topic, thus the spectrum of the work is broad and is filled with problems which would interest most medical professionals. The major contents of the first volume of "Uihakdokseogi(醫學讀書記)" include differences of view on health preservation, the Five Circuit Phases[五運] and Six Atmospheric Influences[六氣], diseases, and the "Naegyeong(內經)", mentions on errors in transcription , and the gap between certain contents in "Yeongchu(靈樞)" and "Somun(素問)". U[尤在涇] asserts that Eum and Yang(陰陽) in a human should be in harmony as is the Gi(氣) of the sky and earth[天地] is, and that one should live according to the Gi(氣) of the four seasons to live a healthy life. He does not vary largely from the context of other writers on the matter of the Five Circuit Phases [五運] and Six Atmospheric Influences[六氣], and focuses on the concepts of predominant Gi[主氣], guest Gi[客氣], corresponding years[天符] , correlating years[歲會], and Taeeul corresponding years[太乙天符]. He mentions causes, symptoms, and treatments of various diseases such as cough due to asthenia of the viscera, stagnation of Yang(陽), stagnation of Eum(陰), abscess of the stomach, hard abscess of the intestines, upper emaciation, edema of the limbs, inability to raise the limbs, broken thigh, turbid fluid, inversion of Gi(氣) flow, sudden onset of fainting with cold extremities, diarrhea due to disorder of Gi(氣), and malaria. U[尤在涇] also points out faults of "Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion[甲乙經]" in the understanding of "Naegyeong(內經)".

Lifecycle and Requirements for Digital Collection Management of Thai Theses and Dissertations

  • This research was aimed at studying the situation, problems, and requirements for digital collection lifecycle management of Thai theses and dissertations. The mixed research method used was composed of: (1) Study of the problem and situation in which the qualitative method was applied. The research site covered 10 higher education institutions where the Thailand Digital Collection (TDC) project is operated. The informants were key administrative officers of the TDC project of each institution. In-depth and structured interviews were conducted on an individual basis to obtain the most accurate answers. (2) Study of requirements based on the quantitative research method to survey the requirements for the digital collection management system for Thai theses and dissertations from 84 purposively-selected TDC project officers and 527 end users selected by accidental sampling, totaling 611 samples. Research findings are as follow: (1) The study of the situation and problems of digital collection lifecycle management shows that Thai higher institutions systematically manage their digital collection. The management lifecycle is consistent with the Guidance documents for lifecycle management of ETDs, which included seven steps: program planning, creation, submission, and ingestion, access and retrieval of digital objects, archiving and preservation, evaluation and assessment, interoperation (creation of institutional collaboration), and development of link data. (2) The study of requirements for digital collection management of Thai theses and dissertations shows five system requirements: acquisition and gathering, digitization, metadata standards, management of rights, and storage and retrieval, all of which are at M (mandatory) and D (desirable) levels.

미국의 기록관리학 지식 범주에 관한 연구 (A study of archival body of knowledge in the United States)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 기록관리학 교육 프로그램의 기초 자료로서 미국의 기록관리학 프로그램과 교육지침서에 관해 조사하여 다양한 요소를 바탕으로 분석해 봄으로써 기록관리학 지식의 범주를 설정하고 한국의 기록관리학 교육에 필요한 사항을 제안하였다. 기록관리학 지식 범주는 크게 5개로 기본 지식, 핵심 지식, 보충 지식, 실무 지식, 연구 지식으로 구분하였다. 기본 지식은 기록물과 관련된 전반적인 상황을 이해하는 것, 핵심 지식은 기록전문가로서 기본적으로 반드시 갖추어야하는 역할 능력을 제공하는 것, 보충 지식은 기록관리학과 밀접한 연관을 갖고 있는 다른 학문적 배경과 다양한 연구방법에 관한 것, 실무 지식은 현장실습에서 얻게 되는 지식이며 연구 지식은 일정기간 세부 주제에 관해 깊이 있게 연구함으로써 학문적으로 공헌할 수 있는 것으로 보았다. 앞으로 교과과정 개발과 관련하여 보존, 전자기록물 관리, 컴퓨터 기술의 적용, 기록물 서비스와 홍보 관련 교과목의 설정, 학제적 교과목의 개발, 인턴쉽 프로그램 개발, 협동 연구의 추진, 충분한 교원의 확보를 주요 사안으로 제시하였으며 끝으로 한국 기록관리학 교육지침서의 개발을 촉구하였다.

Influence of toothbrush abrasion and surface treatments on the color and translucency of resin infiltrated hybrid ceramics

  • PURPOSE. The study compared the color change, lightness, and translucency of hybrid resin ceramics exposed to toothbrush abrasion and surface treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Four hybrid ceramics [Lava Ultimate (LU), Vita Enamic (EN), Shofu HC (SH), and Crystal Ultra (CU)] were compared with a glass-ceramic (Vita Mark II) control. One hundred and twenty specimen blocks were prepared using a precision saw machine. Specimens in each material were divided into four subgroups based on the surface treatment (polishing or staining) and a storage medium (water or citric acid). Simulated tooth brushing with a mixture of 100 RDA (radioactive abrasives) with 0.3 ml distilled water was used for 3650 cycles (7300 strokes) for each specimen. Measurements for the color change, lightness, and translucency were measured after toothbrushing using a spectrophotometer. Statistical analysis compared outcomes using paired t-test, ANOVA, and Tukey post hoc test. RESULTS. The maximum color change was identified in SH (stained acid) [1.44 (0.40)], whereas the lowest was identified in EN (polished water) [0.66 (0.16)] material. The maximum and minimum loss of surface translucency was observed in SH (polished water) [12.3 (0.52)] and EN (stained acid) [6.5 (0.55)] specimens, respectively. Lastly, loss of lightness was the highest in VM (polished acid) [69 (0.95)], whereas the lowest was observed in CU (stained water) [56.7 (0.86)]. CONCLUSION. The comparison presented a significant effect of toothbrush abrasion on translucency and lightness of the hybrid resin ceramics. Color change was not significantly influenced irrespective of the storage medium employed. Surface staining demonstrated the preservation and stability of color and optical properties under the influence of toothbrush abrasion and chemical trauma.

전통 패션 기반 현대 패션브랜드에 나타난 문화적 지속가능성에 관한 연구- 한국, 일본, 벨기에 브랜드 사례를 중심으로 - (A study on the cultural sustainability of contemporary fashion brands based on traditional fashion- Focusing on Korea, Japan, and Belgian brands -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how modern fashion brands practice cultural sustainability by investigating the ways they use and reinterpret traditional culture and clothing. The transmission and reinterpretation of traditional cultural elements connect the past, present, and future. These forces also lead to the development of new creativity in the fashion industry. Three brands have been selected for case studies: Danha (Korea), Mittan (Japan), and Jan Jan Van Essche (Belgium). These brands possess in-depth understanding of traditional cultural elements, including clothing, dyeing techniques, and patterns unique to various regions and minority groups. The brands all make use of traditional cultural identities whose clothing contains the historical and sentimental values of various regions and ethnic groups. The use and mixing of various cultures can be seen as the respectful preservation of global culture. Also, in contemporary fashion, the use of traditional culture plays an important role in the presentation and development of creative designs. The use of traditional handicraft techniques and the use of traditional clothing in the past convey cultural diversity to future generations; they will have a lasting influence on future fashion trends. The results of the study show that cultural sustainability in contemporary fashion has been implemented through safeguarding and respecting indigenous cultures and developing cultural elements into creative design.
