The given research focuses on examining the effect of relatively humidity (RH) and curing temperature on the hydrates as well as the porosity of calcium sulfoaluminate (CSA) cement pastes. Numerous tests, which consist of mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), thermosgravi metric (TG) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were conducted. Various characterization techniques which include, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform microscopy along with X-ray diffraction evaluations were conducted on the samples to examine phase formation and crystallinity, morphology and microstructure along with bond formations and functional groups, respectively. During long-term study, the performance of concrete which consisted of limestone and flash-calcined was close to those from standard Portland cement concrete. Traditional classifications and methods of corrosion were widely used for the assessment of steel in concrete which may get employed to concrete which contains LC3 to recalibrate the range of polarization resistance for passitivity condition. For example, there is up to 79.5% and 146% respective flexural and compressive strengths. Moreover, they developed more advance electrical and thermo-mechanical performance with a substantial reduction in absorption of water of close to 400%. These advantages allow this research crucial to evaluate how these methods can be applied. Additionally, the research evaluates developed and more advanced cement preservation and repair techniques. The conclusion suggests concerted efforts by various stakeholders such as policy makers to enable low-carbon rates.

Alcohol fermentation conditions were investigated using 'Cheondobansi' astringent persimmon (Diospyros kaki T.) for the study of persimmon wine and distilled liquor, The optimal yeast strain for 'Cheongdobansi' astringent persimmon alcohol fermentation was Saccharomyces kluyveri DJ97, which showed 10.8% of alcohol concentration, 96.25% of alcohol yield, and 935 ppm of methanol. The initial conditions of $22^{\circ}Brix$ and 120%(v/w) water addition resulted in the highest alcohol concentration of 10.7%. The alcohol concentration was higher in pectinase non-treated samples than in pectinase-teated samples. Lower concentrations of acetaldehyde and n-propanol were measured for the pectinase-treated sample than for the non-treatment samples. However, the methanol concentration of the pectinase-teated sample was higher than that of the pectinase non-treatment sample.
In order to develop the Production and application of cholesterol oxidase, a cholesterol degradation bacteria which produces a remarkable amount of extracellular cholesterol oxidase has been isolated from Korea traditional salt fermented flat fish. The isolated strain was identified as a strain of Bacil1us sp. based on its morphological, physiological characteristics and cellular fatty acid compositions. Experiments were carried out to optimize the condition of cholesterol oxidase production using Bacillus sp. SFF34. Bacillus sp. SFF34 was shown to give the maximum yield of cholesterol oxidase in the medium containing 2.0% glucose, 0.5% yeast extract, 0.02% MgSO$_4$$.$7H$_2$O, 0.025% K$_2$HPO$_4$, 0.15% NH$_4$NO$_3$ and 0.2% cholesterol. The optimum culture conditions, temperature, initial pH and agitation speed were 30$^{\circ}C$, 7.0 and 150rpm respectively. The enzyme production reached a maximum level at 24 hrs of cultivation(2.42 U/ml).
To extend the freshness of late autumn Chinese cabbage, the packaging and loading effects on the quality were investigated during cold storage. Judging from overall quality during storage period, late autumn Chinese cabbage could be stored by 3 months at 0$\^{C}$ cold storage. However, late autumn Chinese cabbage was not acceptable for long-term storage because of its marketability and the storage cost. Among 3 packaging methods(PP-net, carton and plastic container) for stored Chinese cabbage, plastic container and carton were more effective than PP-net packaging for the freshness prolongation. Gas composition in the plastic bags during storage was not significantly different among packaging conditions and O$_2$ and CO$_2$ concentrations were 13∼18% and 0.75∼7.48%, respectively, MAP with plastic film was effective for the quality retention because of low oxygen composition and high humidity condition in the bags.
This study was conducted to optimize roasting process of Job's tears for utilization as food Optimal condition for masting was investigated with changes in temperature and time by response surface methodology. The qualities of water extract such as browning degree, polyphenol and DPPH radical scavenging ability were affected more by roasting temperature than time. The values increased with temperature and time proportionally. The response variables were more significant with temperature than time and the established polynomial model was suitable (P>0.05) model by Lack-of-Fit analysis. Optimal roasting conditions with the limit of $0.2{\sim}0.3$ browning degree, $2.0{\sim}2.5{\mu}g/mL$ polyphenol, $30{\sim}40%$ scavenging ability and $0{\sim}100$ hue angle were $215^{\circ}C$ and 32 min.
To develop the rapid processing of northern sand lance sauce by thermoase, the rapid fermentation conditions and quality of fermented sauce were investigated gated The recommendable condition of rapid fermentation were determined as follows: thermoase concentration, fermentation time and fermentation temperature were $0.2\%$, 9hr and $60^{\circ}C$, respectively. The northern sand lance sauce fermented rapidly showed light brown color. The sweet amino acids were higher in the rapid fermented-sauce than commercal fermented sauce although the content of total nitrogen, amino nitrogen and total amino acids were low in it. Hereafter we suppose that the rapid fermented sauce by thermoase will be wide usable because it can use the salted northern sand lance in short time.
This study was performed to investigate the changes in quality properties of extract from roasted Pleurotus eryngii by microwave-assisted extraction (MAE). MAE was carried out under different conditions including ethanol concentration, extraction time and microwave power. Total phenolics compound contents, electron donating ability (EDA) and nitrite-scavenging ability at pH 1.2 were high at 50% ethanol concentration. Superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity was high at 75% ethanol concentration. Soluble solid and total phenolics compound content decreased as extending extraction time up to 7 min. EDA decreased as increased extraction time. SOD-like activity and nitrite-scavenging ability were not significantly different. The highest soluble solid content, total phenolics compound content and EDA were obtained at 100 W extraction of microwave power. SOD-like activity was high at 25 W. But microwave power did not significantly affect the nitrite-scavenging ability.
The purpose of current study is to investigate the beneficial effect of enzyme (Alcalase) hydrolysates of silk protein in rat. Alcalase-treated silk protein hydrolysate (ATSH) itself did not show any cytotoxicity on the hepatic tissues and blood biochemistry, similar to the normal condition. ATSH played a protective role in tert-butyl hydroperoxide (t-BHP)-induced hepatotoxicity and liver damage. The values of AST (aspartate aminotransferase) and ALT (alanine aminotransferase), which are the indicators of the liver function, were effectively alleviated with the ATSH treatment in a dose dependent manner. The level of Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and Malondialdehyde (MDA), which were increased with t-BHP treatment, were significantly reduced by ATSH. High dose of ATSH (2 g/kg) reduced the t-BHP-induced LDH release by 48%. Antioxidant and antioxidant enzymes in liver cells were significantly increased by ATSH treatment in their level and activities. ATSH (2 g/kg) increased glutathione (GSH), an intracelluar antioxidant, by 2.5-fold compared with the t-BHP treated group. The activities of glutathione-s-transferase (GST), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase were also elevated by 38%, 60%, and 45%, respectively, with ATSH (2 g/kg) treatment. The antioxidative effect of ATSH was recapitulated to the protection from t-BHP induced liver damages in hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining. Thus, ATSH might be used as a hepatoprotective agent.
This study was conducted to evaluate the inhibition efficacy of high CO$_2$ atmosphere (35, 60, and 100% ${\times}$ 24, 48, and 72 h) on growth of Botrytis cinerea in vitro in order to offer sterilizing method of horticultural crops including peach fruits. Botrytis cinerea was isolated from a naturally infected peach fruits. Growth of the fungus at 25$^{\circ}C$ declined with increased CO$_2$ concentration and treatment duration. Especially, 100% CO$_2$ provided completely inhibition effect of growth of the fungus for 72 h. After removal of high CO$_2$ condition, however, the fungus showed normal growth speed. The growth of fungus at low temperature was completely inhibited temporarily by short-term 100% CO$_2$ treatment, but resumed right after transferring to normal atmosphere at 25$^{\circ}C$.
This study was conducted to optimize hot water extraction process of cordyceps militaris for development beverage. Optimal condition for hot water extraction was investigated with changes in extraction concentration and temperature by response surface methodology. The content of soluble solid was effected with concentration. The efficiency of extraction for turbidity, total sugar, reducing sugar and protein increased with low concentration. The response variables had significant with concentration and the established polynomial model was suitable (p>0.05) model by lack-of-fit analysis. Optimal extraction conditions as the limited renditions of 2.0∼2.4% extractable solids, 1.5∼2.0% brix, l14∼120 $\mu\textrm{g}$/g total sugar, 10.5∼11.0 $\mu\textrm{g}$/g reducing sugar and 110∼l15 $\mu\textrm{g}$/g protein were 95∼100$\^{C}$ and 4.0∼4.1% of concentration.
