The authors investigated the present status of employment of graduates from ship-boarding departments, Department of Fishing Technology, of Marine Engineering in National Fisheries University of Pusan from 1974 to 1988 by communication of every kind. The prospects of the graduates were studied on the bases of the present status of employment The results obtained can be shown as follows ; 1. In Department of Fishing Technology, the number of graduates who are engaged in major field is 562 (81%) among total members of graduates 693, and fishing vessel officer and fisheries company officer is 308(55%), 215(38%) respectively among the above members of employment in major field. 2. In Department of Marine Engineering, the number of graduates who are engaged in major field is 468(74%) among total members of graduates, 634, and engine and machinery field officer, merchant vessel officer is 331(71%), 89(19%) among above members of employment in major field respectively. 3. Developement of deep sea fisheries and industry of engine and machinery seems to graduates easy to get their jobs in major field.

The objectives of this study were to analyze the present status of upbringing young farmers and to suggest directions for the future improvement for upbringing the young farmers' workforce in rural Korea. This study was conducted through review of literature related to agricultural workforce and young farmers. Opinions were collected from agricultural workforce staff of city and county extension center about role, development strategy of young farmers' workers. The total of 145 extension educators in charge of workforce section at Agricultural Extension Centers at city and county level participated in the study and 137 data were used for final analysis. The major findings from this study were as follows: 1) The strategy for the upbringing young farmers should be established by national and local governments. 2) The status for the young farmers' policy must be placed high er than present situation. 3) The systems and rules should be deregulated for the secure agricultural production base. 4) Agricultural income sources should be developed extensively by national and local governments.

The purposes of this study are as follows. First, it is to review the features of discount stores that are expected to grow rapidly and continuously due to their low price, low cost, bulk purchase, and multiple shops, and to pinpoint problems arising from the establishment and position of the stores. Second, it is to analyze relevant issues in regard to the present status of fashion good distribution in discount stores by studying the situation, structure and problems of domestic fashion distribution along with the present status of the distribution in discount stores, and to suggest directions for the development of fashion distribution and discount stores. A positive study was carried out on the buyers of big domestic discount stores through one-to-one interviews focusing on the distribution of fashion products within Seoul and the Metropolitan area. The following is the directions for the development of clothing distribution and discount stores ; 1. The relative importance of fashion goods in a discount store will be increased with the tendency of fashionable and differentiated shops ; 2. The GMS or category killers will be established from around 2003 when the market is expected to become saturated with a great deal of discount stores. 4. Discount stores will change and reform without being restricted to a certain existing industry or business condition, and distribution channels will diversify over the border. The demand and supply system will be balanced based on a global marketing which will be adjusted on the international level.

The purposes of this study were to: a) investigate how other countries brought up their traditional food into the commercial market for tourists b) analyze present marketing status of the Korean traditional food in dealing with foreign tourists as consumers. Present marketing status of the overseas and domestic tourism products focusing on traditional foods was investigated through literature reviews and face-to-face in-depth interviews conducted with professionals in tourism business. As a result, the foreign tourism products focusing on traditional foods were diverse and these products were representative of the regional heritage brought together in an effect to increase understanding of traditional foods. In case of the tourism products focusing on Korean traditional cuisine, the popular programs were 'Making Kimch', 'Making ricecake' and 'Making Bibimbap' in which tourists participated have expressed great satisfaction. The results of this study would be used as an important data in developing unique tourism programs focusing on Korean traditional cuisine attracting foreign tourists.

Present status of picture quality and the future target status for FPD TV's are shown based on the evaluated result of FPD TVs and CRT TVs. FPD TV will be required to be design under ergonomics concept and to be revised some of the definition for to enrage the market.

A 57-year-old man was transferred to our emergency department with decreased mental status after organophosphate intoxication. He had a four year history of benzodiazepine and hypnotic medication use for chronic insomnia and a depressive mood disorder. He had no previous history of seizures, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension. By hospital day 5, the patient was noted to be awake and to have repetitive jerking movements involving the left upper extremity, and appeared apathetic, depressed and less responsive to external stimuli. A benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome was subsequently apparent when he developed several generalized tonic clonic seizures and status epilepticus. Using a continuous midazolam intravenous infusion, we successfully controlled the refractory seizure without complications. We present a rare case of status epilepticus from a benzodiazepine withdrawal that developed during the treatment for organophosphate intoxication.

본 연구에서는 서울시 24개 공공도서관의 문화 프로그램과 독서 활동의 실태를 파악하고 활성화 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 선행된 연구를 통해 공공도서관의 문화 프로그램 및 독서 활동에 대한 이론적 근거를 살펴보고 본 연구의 대상이 되는 서울시 24개 공공도서관의 문화 프로그램과 독서 활동의 실태를 조사 분석한다. 또한 새로운 문화 패러다임의 모델로 노원어린이도서관 독서활동 특성화 프로젝트를 소개한다.

This paper reviews the meat-type chicken breeding with local breeds in China. The quality chickens are defined as purebred final products of local breeds, and semi-quality chickens as crossbreds of local breeds with specialized broiler (sire or dam) lines from western breeding organizations. The present status of the chicken production and the market in China, in comparison with the western countries, is reviewed, indicating that there is large market demand for (semi-) quality chickens in the present and future China. Breeding for (semi-) quality chickens emphasizes the sensory quality of chicken meat. The present status of breeding for (semi-) quality chickens with the local breeds is illustrated, including breeding goals and the existing breeding programs. The potential role of local breeds in breeding programs in China is discussed in relation to both providing higher quality (than commercial hybrid broilers) of chicken meat for the local market and meeting the objectives of genetic resource conservation. Besides, further research topics on breeding for (semi-) quality chickens are suggested.

The curriculum of science should be made of the education based on the acquirement instead of the knowledge. However, the present educational environment has many problems such as lack of laboratory and experimental facilities, and time limitations. One of the suggested methods to overcome the barriers in regular curriculum is the efficient operation of science club activities. Since the club activities are not restricted on time and space, teachers can apply various methods and programs. In this paper, we investigate the present operational status of science club activities in secondary school and some suggested improvement schemes of them It is shown that teacher training, reference development, time allocation, educational environment, facility completion and various program developments should be preceded, in order to activate science club activities.

In this paper, we analyzed the present status of the safety manager and safety assurance aspects through a complex analysis on the operational aspects, marketability and electrical safety aspects of photovoltaic power generation facilities. In the analysis of the equipment status, we analyzed the status and operated status of the installed PV system in Korea and the correlation between the safety manager and the accident. In addition, we analyzed the direction of the ESS through the analysis of the installation status of the ESS, and applied it to the interpretation part of the ESS associated with the solar power generation. The status of the electric safety manager can be used to analyze the data for selecting the electric safety manager by capacity by analyzing the accident status, the electric safety manager operation status, the safety management time by capacity, and the electric safety manager market.
