Defects in the vehicle itself were considered the biggest risk factor for traffic accidents as the electrical and electronic components of vehicles, which were not there before, increase. Therefore, the vehicles have been developed based on ISO 26262 (an international functional safety standard) which is focusing on functional defect safety evaluation of electrical and electronic component systems. However, in the future, as autonomous driving technology is applied, even vehicles without functional defects must be prepared for the dangerous traffic situation that may arise from exceptional or external factors. SOTIF (Safety Of The Intended Functionality) is a concept to prevent exceptional or external factors. The main objective of SOTIF is to decrease Unknown & Unsafe factors as much as possible by finding Known factors and Unsafe factors. In this study, Prescan provided SIEMENS, one of the autonomous driving simulators, is used to make scenarios of IGLAD traffic accident cases. From the simulation results, Unsafe & Safe cases were classified and analyzed to derive unsafe factors.
In recent years, the technology for autonomous driving has been advancing rapidly, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) functions, which improve driver convenience and safety performance, are mostly equipped in recently released vehicles and range from level 0 to level 2 in autonomous driving technology. Among the various functions of ADAS, AEBS (Autonomous Emergency Braking System), which analyzes traffic accidents, is the most closely related to the vehicle's braking. This study developed a simulation technique for reproducing accidents related to AEBS based on real vehicle experimental data, and it was applied to the analysis of actual ADAS vehicle accidents to identify the causes of accidents.

The leading technologies of the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist System) are ACC (Advanced Cruise Control), LKAS (Lane Keeping Assist System), and AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking). LKAS is a system that uses cameras and infrared sensors to control steering and return to its running lane in the event of unintentional deviations. The actual test is performed for a safety evaluation and verification of the system. On the other hand, research on the system evaluation method is insufficient when an additional steering angle is applied. In this study, a model using Prescan was developed and simulated for the scenarios proposed in the preceding study. Comparative analyses of the simulation and the actual test were performed. As a result, the modeling validity was verified. A difference between the front wheels and the lane occurred due to the return velocity. The results revealed a maximum error of 0.56 m. The error occurred because the lateral velocity of the car was relatively small. On the other hand, the distance from wheels to the lanes displayed a tendency of approximately 0.5 m. This can be verified reliably.

Recent studies on automatic parking have actively adopted the technology developed for mobile robots. Among them, the path planning scheme plans a route for a vehicle to reach a target parking position while satisfying the kinematic constraints of the vehicle. However, previous methods require a large amount of computation and/or cannot be easily applied to different environmental conditions. Therefore, there is a need for a path planning scheme that is fast, efficient, and versatile. In this study, we use a multi-dimensional path grid map to solve the above problem. This multi-dimensional path grid map contains a route which has taken a vehicle's kinematic constraints into account; it can be used with the $A^*$ algorithm to plan an efficient path. The proposed method was verified using Prescan which is a simulation program based on MATLAB. It is shown that the proposed scheme can successfully be applied to both parallel and vertical parking in an efficient manner.

In this study, safety evaluation scenarios on "cut-in" situation are presented to assess the performance of automatic emergency braking systems. The ASSESS project in EU is surveyed for derive efficient test scenarios for cut-in situation. The TASS database are also analyzed to find representative accident scenarios in Korea. With the results of the ASSESS and TASS, the safety evaluation scenarios in cut-in situations are suggested and the scenarios are tested with simulation software PRESCAN.
Autonomous vehicle is a car which drives itself without any human interaction. SAE provides technical definitions for autonomous and international standards for test evaluation. Accordingly, automobile industry is actively researching development and evaluation of various ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), : representative technology of autonomous technology. Recently, ADAS is in the commercialization level such as ACC, LKAS, AEB, and HDA etc. And it also has issues about safety evaluation. The purpose of HDA in ADAS is reduced the driving load on highway. It has a function which can maintain lane keeping and control distance from forward vehicle. This function is evaluated to be useful for accident prevention. Therefore, this paper proposes the safety evaluation scenario of HDA, considering the domestic highway design criteria and the situation that may arise on the actual highway. We compared and analyzed the data acquired through simulation and actual vehicle test. And verified the reliability of the proposed safety evaluation scenario. The verified result is expected safety evaluation of HDA is possible even under the bad condition, which cannot be tested.

$Li_2B_4O_7$ and $Na_2B_4O_7$ were synthesized with boron isotopic standard material for the measurement of boron isotopes of positive ions (PTIMS) such as $Li_2BO_2{^+}$ (mass 56, 57) and $Na_2BO_2{^+}$ (mass 88, 89) instead of boron mass 10 and 11. The negative ions (NTIMS) such as $^{10}BO_2{^-}$ and $^{11}BO_2{^-}$(mass 42와 43) were also measured with the same boron isotopic standard material. The precision and accuracy were compared between each method, and prescan of isobaric effect was studied. Good result was obtained from NTIMS method which provided the stable and enough peak intensities with good precision and accuracy. The measurement of boron isotopes were performed in ground water sample with about 8 ng-B ($5{\mu}L$ sample solution) obtained from IAEA for international inter-comparison analysis. The standard deviation was found to be 0.03%. Boron content of this ground water was measured using the NTIMS-IDMS. The result was $1.65{\pm}0.003ug-B/mL$ which was better precision compared to the ICP-AES result.

Purpose : To evaluate the usefulness and reproducibility of $^1H$ MRS in different 1.5 T MR machines with different coils to compare the SNR, scan time and the spectral patterns in different brain regions in normal volunteers. Materials and Methods : Localized $^1H$ MR spectroscopy ($^1H$ MRS) was performed in a total of 10 normal volunteers (age; 20-45 years) with spectral parameters adjusted by the autoprescan routine (PROBE package). In all volunteers, MRS was performed in a three times using conventional MRS (Signa Horizon) with 1 channel coil and upgraded MRS (Echospeed plus with EXCITE) with both 1 channel and 8 channel coil. Using these three different machines and coils, SNRs of the spectra in both phantom and volunteers and (pre)scan time of MRS were compared. Two regions of the human brain (basal ganglia and deep white matter) were examined and relative metabolite ratios (NAA/Cr, Cho/Cr, and mI/Cr ratios) were measured in all volunteers. For all spectra, a STEAM localization sequence with three-pulse CHESS $H_2O$ suppression was used, with the following acquisition parameters: TR=3.0/2.0 sec, TE=30 msec, TM=13.7 msec, SW=2500 Hz, SI=2048 pts, AVG : 64/128, and NEX=2/8 (Signa/Echospeed). Results : The SNR was about over $30\%$ higher in Echospeed machine and time for prescan and scan was almost same in different machines and coils. Reliable spectra were obtained on both MRS systems and there were no significant differences in spectral patterns and relative metabolite ratios in two brain regions (p>0.05). Conclusion : Both conventional and new MRI systems are highly reliable and reproducible for $^1H$ MR spectroscopic examinations in human brains and there are no significant differences in applications for $^1H$ MRS between two different MRI systems.
