  • Purpose: This study aimed to explore the breast feeding process of mothers and to develop a grounded theory about experiences of breast feeding women. Methods: Data was collected by means of an in-depth interview from 8 participants who were breast feeding their baby. The data was analyzed using the grounded theory methodology proposed by Strauss and Corbin. Results: The core category was discovered to be 'becoming a mother'. This process was categorized into 5 stages; 'facing difficulties of breast feeding', 'having the will to continue to breast feed', 'doing one's best to breast feed', 'feeling satisfaction with one's breast feeding', and 'retaining a lingering desire for one's breast feeding'. Mothers began breast feeding without preparation. They faced difficult problems during breast feeding such as getting a lay-person's or professional person's support. They made various efforts for continuing to breast feed and solve the problems. They got pleasure from breast feeding, their baby is fine, and they have a bond with their baby. Finally, when they finished breast feeding, they still felt attached to it and had regrets. Conclusion: This study provided the information about mothers' experiences in the breast feeding process. Therefore, nurses will be able to utilize successful adaptation skills for helping breast feeding mothers.

  • In order to improve static stability and healing of reattached labrum, we combined the advantages of suture bridge and transosseous technique. Using the conventional 3 portal for anterior instability, check stability of bony Bankart and preparation of glenoid bed in 3 way including removal, reshaping or mobilization of bony fragment. Two anchors were inserted to the superior and inferior portion and medial edge of bony Bankart lesion. It usually corresponded to the area of IGHL. Medial mattress sutures were applied around IGHL complex to get enough depth of glenoid coverage using suture hook. Make 3.5mm pushlock anchor hole to the articular edge of glenoid cartilage. Proximal suture bridge was applied at first and then distal suture bridge was inserted to mobilize the labrum in proximal direction. These construction can provide more stable labral repair with wide contact and compression in case of deficient bony stability. It not only avoids technical disadvantage of point contact with anchor fixation, but also decreasing gap formation through cross compression of labrum that couldn't gain even with the transosseous fixation which affords linear compression effect. Additional bony stability could be gained if the the bony fragment was mobilized to the glenoid margin with potential healing bed or reshaped for the good contact with reattached labrum.

  • This survey report introduced briefly peat deposits in SAKHALIN island of eastern SIBERIA continent. Peat industry was promoted as leading resources for development in this island by national control economic plan of central government before CIS. But development of deposit was left suspension of operation due to investment now. In southern area, about 10km from Yuzunosakhalinsk, two deposits of peat field were explored. One of them (Troisk) was suspended at begining stage of peat harvest from 300ha field and the other(Missilop) was producing the compact peat through drying and pulverizing from 350ha peat field which showed long run harvest activities. There are plenty of peat deposits near the Polonai Reika (river) in the central area of this island, At Zbaikaritz, 40km nothern area from Polonaisk, 135ha of peat field was developed. This field was left without working but established field preparation and could be able to be harvested any time if machines and utlities were settled. At southern suburb 10km from Polonaisk, about 40ha field of virgin deposit has been established planning for development. The plan involved estimated amount of peat, deposit depth, water level, drainage and leading road. The most of peat deposits accumulated from sphagnum moss. Texture is coarse but it contains more than 95% of organic carbon near to 0.5% of total nitrogen and acidity showed pH4-5.

  • In a divorced family, child-centered custody evaluation is essential to ensure the child's best interests and healthy adaptation. A mental health professional's role and involvement are required in gaining an in-depth understanding of various environments and dynamics surrounding the child and family. Domestic violence, including child abuse and intimate partner violence (IPV) or parental alienation syndrome (PAS), is often observed in cases of custody evaluation in high-conflict divorced families, sometimes accompanied by allegations. Such cases warrant an extremely careful approach by the evaluator, who needs to be competent in interpreting the familial dynamics based on a reasonable context understanding. Genuine professionalism is a must for a custody evaluator to best help the child and carry out a high-quality custody evaluation process, and evaluators need to be ready for this task through adequate preparation and empowerment. This article is devoted to examining custody evaluation in divorced families in cases of IPV, child abuse, and PAS.

  • This study examined the retirement adaptation process for middle-aged and elderly couples. Twelve couples who had experienced retirement were recruited by theoretical sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed through the grounded theory approach of Strauss and Corbin (1998). This study showed the results of 124 concepts, 41 sub-categories and 17 categories indicated through an open coding process. As a paradigm in axial coding, the causal conditions in the adjustment procedures of elderly couples whose spouses are retired were 'retirement preparation,' 'retirement acceptance,' and 'marital satisfaction.' A central phenomenon was 'crisis and conflicts of twilight couples.' The contextual conditions that correspond to this phenomenon were 'psychological separation from adult children,' 'division of household labor,' and 'economic status.' The action/interaction strategies to control the phenomenon were 'recognition of marital relationships,' 'conflicts coping,' 'resolution methods,' and 'self-reflection.' The intervening conditions that facilitate action/interaction strategies were 'attitudes of husbands,' 'mutual awareness of couple,' 'health status,' and 'support systems.' The consequences were 'readaptation of marital relationships,' and 'unresolved conflicts,' and 'trying alone.' This research classified middle-aged and elderly couples' adaptation into three types such as mutual effort, separation & resignation, and conflicts vestige. The findings provide basic information to develop a retirement adaptation program for the middle-aged and elderly.

  • Test activated carbon fiber (ACF) was prepared from Polyacrylonirile (PAN) through oxidation and chemical activation. Immersion of ACF precursors in the aqueous KOH solution enhanced the surface structure, as examined by BET pore analysis. Specific surface area increased greatly from less than $70m^2/g$ to $1226m^2/g$ with 4 M KOH, and total pore volume also rose up to $0.483cm^3/g$. In particular, it was found that micropores favorable for $CO_2$ molecule capture occupied more than 95%. Maximum $CO_2$ adsorption capacity was 3.59 mmol/g at 298 K. Low depth of pores in the present ACF may facilitate the molecules' desorption for its regeneration.
