Analysis on the business strategy and policy for the alternative fuel vehicle : Using stated preference data (대체연료 자동차에 대한 소비자 선호 분석을 통한 산업전략과 기술정책에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we attempt to analyze consumer preference for the alternative-fuel vehicles based on data from a stated preference using the conjoint analysis. Five possible fuel types (gasoline, diesel, CNG, LPG, Hybrid (electricity+gasoline)) are covered in conjoint cards. To estimate and analyze consumer preference, discrete choice model is used. Specifically, Bayesian mixed logit model is used. Based on estimating results, we discuss the business strategy and policy for the alternative fuel vehicle.

  • This study examined the awareness of Chinese in their 20s in regards to Korean fashion brands and brand personality; in addition, it analyzed the effect of brand personality on brand preference and purchase intention. This study investigated the differences of the brand personality effect on brand preference and purchase intention according to brand, sex, and age. The results were as follows: 1) The three highly recognized fashion brands were Teenie Weenie, E-land, and The Basic House. 2) Brand personality was comprised of factors for competence, vitality, innovation, and emotion. 3) Brand preference was affected by vitality, competence, and innovation. Purchase intention was directly affected by brand preference and brand personality factors such as vitality, competence, and innovation. 4) The effect of brand personality on brand preference and purchase intention were different according to brand, sex, and age. These results can be used as basic data or information to help fashion companies develop marketing strategies for young Chinese people.

  • The innovation activity is an important factor for sustained growth in nations and firms. Particularly, the problem of appropriation of results of the innovative activity is very important for innovators since it enables them to enjoy the profits generated by their innovations. This study is intended to empirically analyse relative preference of patent and secrecy that is affected by characteristics of innovators and results of innovation using data from '2005: The Korean Innovation Survey' and Ordered Logit method. As a result of this study, the preference for a specific mechanism is clearly revealed in product innovation rather than process innovation. Also, in most research, questions results of analysis are equal to the previous studies and the nature of appropriation methods. However, the result of a research question based on sources of information is very different from previous researches. This study utilized more recent data than previous studies. This result reflects that existing patterns have been changed during recent period.

Effects of Preferred Arch Height and Hardness of the Insole on Static Arch Height and Ankle Stability (인솔의 아치높이 및 경도 선호도가 정적 아치 높이 및 발목 안정성에 미치는 영향)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in static arch height and ankle stability according to the preference for insole height and hardness in the arch area. Method: The study participants were 20 adult males (age: 22.7 ± 1.8 yrs., height: 175.3 ± 4.3 cm, body weight: 72.5 ± 7.7 kg). First, the arch heights of all subjects were measured in static postures (sitting and standing). The inversion and eversion movements of the ankle joint were analyzed during walking (1.3 m/s & 1.7 m/s) and running (2.7 m/s & 3.3 m/s). The variables (static arch height, and inversion and eversion angle of ankle joint) were compared by classifying groups according to the preference for the height and hardness of the arch of the insole. First, it was divided into a high arch insole preference group (HAG, n=8) and a low arch insole preference group (LAG, n=12) according to the preference for the arch height of the insole. Second, it was divided into a high hardness insole preference group (HHG, n=7), medium hardness insole preference group (MHG, n=7), and low hardness insole preference group (LHG, n=6), according to the preference for the arch hardness of the insole. Results: First, the range of motion (ROM) of inversion-eversion at the ankle joint during walking was statistically smaller in HAG than in LAG (p<.05). Second, the arch height change of HHG was statistically greater than that of MHG and LHG (p<.05). Conclusion: In the case of flexible flat feet with a large change in arch height, providing a high hardness arch insole that can disperse foot pressure can improve comfort. It was found that people with high medial and lateral sway of the ankle joint preferred a low arch insole, but it is necessary to differentiate and compare the insole heights of the arch part in detail. In addition, in the case of fast motion such as running, the preference for the arch height and hardness of the insole was not related to the static arch height and ankle stability.

This study aims to examine how the design innovation (functionality, ergonomics, aesthetics) of Bluetooth speaker products affects the customer's preference and purchase intention. It proposes a research model through rational behavior theory (TRA) and technology acceptance model (TAM) for empirical research. The questionnaire is composed of questions to understand the influence of design innovation, favorability, and purchase intention. This is a study to increase the possibility of success of design innovation products by examining how design innovation through research results affects customer preference and purchase intention.

This study aims to examine how the design innovation (functionality, ergonomics, aesthetics) of Bluetooth speaker products affects the customer's preference and purchase intention. It proposes a research model through rational behavior theory (TRA) and technology acceptance model (TAM) for empirical research. The questionnaire was composed of questions to understand the influence of design innovation, favorability, and purchase intention. As a result of the study, functionality, ergonomics, and aesthetics influenced product preference and purchase intention. In order for the innovative product of Bluetooth speaker design to be accepted in the early market, it is most important to form a positive attitude toward favorability centering on function and aesthetics. Favorability is a factor that has the most decisive influence on the purchase intention of design innovation products, and companies must discover and reinforce various factors that positively affect the preference.

The Different Analysis of the Preference and Benefits Sought of Smart Clothing based on Demographic Characteristics (인구통계학적 특성에 따른 스마트 의류에 대한 선호도 및 추구혜택 차이 분석)

  • This study aimed to analyze the preference, the factors of benefits sought, and the difference of benefits sought for smart clothing based on demographic characteristics. This survey study used questionnaire. The subjects of the survey consisted of men and women with ages ranging from twenty to fifty years old, who were living in Gyeongnam region. For the collected data analysis, Factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan multiple range tests were used by SPSS 23. The results obtained were as follows. The different analysis results for smart clothing based on demographic characteristics showed a significant difference with respect to marital status, age, monthly income, and occupation, but showed an insignificant difference with respect to gender. The factors of benefits sought for smart clothing were extracted from five factors-pursuit; image innovation and improvement, pursuit of healthcare, pursuit of body protection, pursuit of amusement and pleasure, and pursuit of hi-tech function. The different analysis results of smart clothing according to demographic characteristics showed a significant difference for pursuit of healthcare only with respect to gender, for pursuit of image innovation and improvement, healthcare, amusement and pleasure, and hi-tech function with respect to marital status, for pursuit of image innovation and improvement, healthcare, amusement and pleasure, and hi-tech function with respect to age, for pursuit of healthcare and body protection with respect to monthly income, and for all five factors with respect to occupation.

  • The guarantee funds for government policy fund, venture capital investment fund, technology guarantee debt are the core parts of the external financing system in the constant technology innovation company. However, the enterpriser's requirement to keep the technology innovation with minimized management intervention and policy maker's hope to advance technology development with clear operation of funds is enough to request for research of the project investment plan to the R&D project. This paper will analyze whether technology innovation company that creates cash flow prefers to the project investment as a financing program or not, and if prefers, what characters of company affect on this preference. The more the company that pursuit the additional R&D activity separated to on-going items becomes over the fixed size, the more prefers the project investment as future external fund-raising. Together with that, this paper suggests that we can apply the plan like special purpose vehicle, SWORD(Stock Warrant Off-Balance sheet R&D) and R&D Limited Partnership as R&D project investment policy, and improve the system itself.

Gender Characteristics in Virtual Fashion Design -Virtual Avatars' Genders and Genderless Fashion Design Concepts-

  • This study investigated gender characteristics in contemporary virtual fashion design, focusing on avatars and genderless fashion in recent collections from Auroboros, Republiqe, Placebo Digital Fashion House, RTFKT, and Tribute. Employing content analysis within a theoretical framework of gender-related research, the study coded virtual avatars in terms of biological sex, appearance, and sociological perspectives. The results showed a preference for female-type avatars, through which androgynous aesthetics were embraced and traditional gender norms were challenged. Male-type avatars reflected experimentation with blending masculine elements, emphasizing inclusivity. Human-like avatars indicated a preference for designs that promoted inclusivity and, in the process, challenged binary classifications. The examined brands strategically capitalized on compromise, sensuality, and playfulness, thereby breaking away from traditional values to opt for more diverse styles. Genderless features combined elements from traditional men's and women's clothing, espousing sensuality and playful exaggeration. These findings signify a dynamic shift away from conventional gender standards to foster inclusivity and experimentation. They can serve as a reference for promoting creative strategies and design innovation, challenging the traditional gender perspective in the fashion industry. Implementing these strategies can lead to a more inclusive representation of fashion styles, encouraging critical thinking about gender norms.

Preparation of Coated Citric Acid for Sensory Improvement of Chocolate Products (초콜릿제품의 관능개선을 위한 코팅 구연산 제조)

  • Coated citric acid as an acidulant was prepared to be used as a stable food additive. Sensory evaluation of chocolate products with the coated acidulant additive was performed to improve sensory preference tendency in chocolate product. When the ratio of coated acidulant was varied on the preparation of dark (0, 1, 2 wt%), milk (0, 1, 2 wt%) and white (0, 2, 4, 6 wt%) chocolate, 1 wt% (dark and milk) or 2 wt% (white) addition showed better preference than that of 0% sample in overall acceptability. Under the condition of the same coated acidulant content (1% or 2%), the white chocolate showed best sensory evaluation result in sweet, sour taste and overall acceptability.
