This study investigated the post-divorce adjustment level, by focusing on life satisfaction, health, stress and resource factors, for divorced men and women in their 20s and 30s. Also, it examined how these factors affect life satisfaction and health. For this empirical analysis, data were collected from 114 divorced men and 112 divorced women, living in the Seoul metropolitan area, from 23rd Sep. to 20th Oct., 2002. The questionnaire for the survey dealt with demographic information, life satisfaction, health, stress and resource factor scales. The major findings of the research project were as follows.: first, the life satisfaction and health levels of the divorced men and women were low. Especially, divorced women had more physical and psychological problems than men. Second, the divorced men's satisfaction was affected by pre-divorce life events and education level, whereas the divorced women's satisfaction was affected by subjective economic dissatisfaction, pre-divorce tfe events, everyday life level when they were divorced, and social support. Finally, the attitude toward divorce of significant others and pre-divorce life events were important variables for the divorced men's health, whereas attachment toward ex-spouse, pre-divorce life events, pre-divorce marital conflict and social support were affectable variables for the divorced women's health. The results of current research are expected to contribute to the divorce adjustment programs according to gender.

We aimed to propose a novel computational approach to predict the electromechanical performance of pre- and post-mitral valve cerclage annuloplasty (MVCA). Furthermore, we tested a virtual estimation method to optimize the left ventricular basement tightening scheme using a pre-MVCA computer model. The present model combines the three-dimensional (3D) electromechanics of the ventricles with the vascular hemodynamics implemented in a lumped parameter model. 3D models of pre- and post-MVCA were reconstructed from the computed tomography (CT) images of two patients and simulated by solving the electromechanical-governing equations with the finite element method. Computed results indicate that reduction of the dilated heart chambers volume (reverse remodeling) appears to be dependent on ventricular stress distribution. Reduced ventricular stresses in the basement after MVCA treatment were observed in the patients who showed reverse remodeling of heart during follow up over 6 months. In the case who failed to show reverse remodeling after MVCA, more virtual tightening of the ventricular basement diameter than the actual model can induce stress unloading, aiding in heart recovery. The simulation result that virtual tightening of the ventricular basement resulted in a marked increase of myocardial stress unloading provides in silico evidence for a functional impact of MVCA treatment on cardiac mechanics and post-operative heart recovery. This technique contributes to establishing a pre-operative virtual rehearsal procedure before MVCA treatment by using patient-specific cardiac electromechanical modeling of pre-MVCA.
Si direct bonding (SDB) technology is very attractive for both Si-on-insulator(SOI) electric devices and MEMS applications because of its stress free structure and stability. This paper presents on- pre treatment conditions in Si wafer direct bonding, The paper resents on pre-bonding according to HF pre-treatment conditions in Si wafer direct bonding. The characteristics of bonded sample were measured under different bonding conditions of HF concentration, applied pressure and annealing temperature(200~ 100$0^{\circ}C$) after pre-bonding. The bonding strength was evaluated by tensile strength method. The bonded interface and the void were analyzed by using SEM and IR camera, respectively, Components existed in the interlayer were analyzed by using FT-IR. The bond strength depends on the HF pre-treatment condition before pre-bonding(Min 2.4kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$~ Max : 14.kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$)
In this work, we studied the characteristics of nitride films for the optimization of PMD(pro-metal dielectric) linear process, which can be applied to the recent semiconductor manufacturing process. We split the deposit condition of nitride films into four parts such as PO(protect overcoat) nitride, baseline, low hydrogen and high stress and low hydrogen, respectively. We tried to find out correlation between BPSG deposition and densification. In order to analyze the changes of Si-H and Si-NH-Si bonding density, we used FTIR area method. We also investigated the crack generation on wafer edge after BPSG densification, and the changes of nitride film stress as a function of RF power variation to judge whether the deposited films.
The purpose of this study is to illustrate the propagation of the shear waves (SH-waves) in a prestressed hetrogeneous orthotropic media overlying a pre-stressed anisotropic porous half-space with self weight. It is considered that the compressive initial stress, mass density and moduli of rigidity of the upper layer are space dependent. The proposed model is solved to obtain the different dispersion relations for the SH-wave in the elastic-porous medium of different properties. The effects of compressive and tensile stresses along with the heterogeneity, porosity, Biot's gravity parameter on the dispersion of SH-wave are shown numerically. The wave analysis further indicates that the technical parameters of upper and lower half-space affect the wave velocity significantly. The results may be useful to understand the nature of seismic wave propagation in geophysical applications and in the field of earthquake and material science engineering.
Based on the 10 week filial therapy model developed by Landreth (1991) for parents in lower income families, this study used the pre- and post- test model applied to an experimental group of 9 individuals. The program was implemented in three hour sessions, once a week for eight weeks. T-tests were performed following the therapeutic program. Results were that all four subcategories of parent's acceptance capability (respect for children's emotion and emotional expression management, understanding of children's unique temperament, understanding of children's desire for autonomy, and unconditional love for children) showed statistically significant differences between the pre- and post- tests (p< .001). Differences between the pre- and post test on parents' stress approached significance.
In the present study, we examined the influence of prestrain on creep strength of Class M alloy(STS310S) and Class A(STS310J1TB) alloys containing precipitates. Prestrain was given by prior creep at a higher stress than the following creep stresses. Creep behaviour before and after stress change and creep rate of pre-strianed specimens were compared with that of virgin specimens. Pre-straining produced the strain region where the strain rate was lower than that of a virgin specimen both for STS310J1TB and STS310S steels. The reason for this phenomenon was ascribable to the viscous motion of dislocations, the interaction between dislocations and precipitates in a STS310J1TB steel, and the interaction of dislocations with sub-boundaries in a STS310S steel which has the higher dislocation density and smaller subgrain size resulted from pre-straining at higher stress.
In this paper, an innovative technique for finite element (FE) modeling of steel tube-confined concrete (STCC) columns with active confinement under axial compressive loading is presented. In this method, a new constitutive model for the stress-strain relationship of actively-confined concrete is proposed. In total, 14 series of experimental STCC stub columns having active confinement were modeled using the ABAQUS software. The results obtained from the 3D model including the compressive strength at the initial peak point and failure point, as well as the axial and lateral stress-strain curves were compared with the experimental results to verify the accuracy of the 3D model. It was found that there existed a good agreement between them. A parametric study was conducted to investigate the effect of the concrete compressive strength, steel tube wall thickness, and pre-stressing level on the behavior of STCC columns with active confinement. The results indicated that increasing the concrete core's compressive strength leads to an increase in the compressive strength of the active composite column as well as its earlier failure. Furthermore, a reduction in the tube external diameter-to-wall thickness ratio affects the axial stress-strain curve and the confining pressure, while increasing the pre-stressing level has a negligible effect on the two.
Trifloxystrobin is a strobilurin fungicide, which possesses broad spectrum control against fungal plant diseases. We demonstrated that pre-treating red pepper plants with trifloxystrobin resulted in increased plant growth and leaf chlorophyll content compared with those in control plants. Relative water content of the leaves and the survival rate of intact plants indicated that plants acquired systemic tolerance to drought stress following trifloxystrobin pre-treatment. The recovery rate by rehydration in the drought treated plant was better in those pre-treated with trifloxystrobin than that in water treated plants. Induced drought tolerance activity by trifloxystrobin was sustained for 25 days after initial application. The trifloxystrobin treated red pepper plants also had induced systemic tolerance to other abiotic stresses, such as frost, cold, and high temperature stresses. These findings suggest that applying the chemical fungicide trifloxystrobin induced systemic tolerance to certain abiotic stresses in red pepper plants.
