This study was conducted to develop and effective strategy for environmental education. At first, the environmental education strategy through personalization of environment was proposed. Then students in a middle school participated the program according to the strategy and its. effect was investigated. The strategy was designed in basis of the role of the limbic system in brain and involved field-oriented experience such as viewing the non-personal environment as the personal environment. Gokneung stream was selected as the site to conduct this environmental education. Students investigated water quality by senses and biological method. The same content was taught for the classroom group and simple outdoor group selected for the comparison by traditional instructional method. The pre- and post-test by the instrument to test environmental attitude, qualitative questionnaire, cognitive test, the pre- and post-interview were conducted to investigate the effect the program. The achievement of the classroom group(personalization group). But the change of the attitude toward environment of personalization group between pre- and post-test was significantly higher than the classroom group. In qualitative questionnaire and pre- and post-interviews, attitude toward environment differed between two group. The behavioral change to discover and to solve environmental problems was demonstrated in case the personalization group, but was unclear in the classroom group. These results indicated the environmental education strategy through personalization of environment was an effective strategy to change the awareness, attitude and behavior toward the environment compared with a traditional teaching strategy.
This study analyzes the experiences of a color therapy program that uses color and fashion directing to influence the psychological characteristics of adolescents, such as emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and color expression. The subjects of this study were 15 adolescents who participated in B-City Winter School (January 6-15, 2020). Pre- and post-tests for emotional intelligence and self-efficacy were conducted to confirm the effect of the color therapy program that indicated a significant difference at the p<.05 level. Statistical significance was confirmed through the GEE model for formal characteristics used in pre/post and fashion-directed color expression. Peter pre- and post-changes in vocabulary emergence were investigated with a Word Cloud analysis using R program 4.0.2 that extracted the lower and upper categories. The significance of this study is that by expressing both color expression and fashion direction together, a program was provided for adolescents to have richer emotional experiences and career-related experiences. This study examined changes within a short period of time in 15 subjects; consequently, a follow-up in-depth qualitative analysis of the program effect and a post-testing study on maintaining the long-term effect is expected to secure further validity and usefulness of the study results. In addition, new studies are expected to contribute to the development of differentiated fashion-related education programs.

Results of empirical study of spouse abuse provided for the basis of designing this program. Consisting of 12 sessions (4 sessions of counseling and 8 sessions of education), the program was delivered to 10 marital couples in an area of Kyunggi-do province. The effectiveness of the program was evaluated through one-group pre-test, post-test, and follow-up test design. Semi-structured interview technique was also employed to evaluate the effectiveness. Resets of paired t-test showed that there were significant differences in several variables between pre-test and post-test period, and this effectiveness remained until follow-up. period. In particular, the degrees of verbal abuse of husbands, and of physical abuse of both husbands and wives were significantly decreased after participating in the program. Also, for both husbands and wives, the Levels of self-esteem and of quality of communication were increased, while the degree of depression was significantly decreased.
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to develop and to evaluate a internet-based social support program for the mothers of congenitally abnormal children. The theoretical basis of the study is the moderating effect model of social support theory (Cobb, 1976). Methods: In first phase, an internet support program was developed according to the practical web development stages proposed by Boling and Frick (2002). In the second phase, the internet support program was provided and evaluated to 18 mothers who reared congenitally abnormal children from March to May 2008. Results: In the first stage, demands of the program were collected from interviews of eighteen mothers of congenitally abnormal children of ages one to three. At the same time, literature review and validity of the contents were also examined. In the second stage, the correspondence of the program contents to the social support needed was also examined. In the third and fourth stages, prototype of the social program was prepared in documents and that of computer program was prepared. In the final stage, an internet-based web site was constructed. The social support provided by the web site were composed of informational support, emotional support and appraisal support including bulletin board system and chatting service. After program development, pre-tests and post-test were performed to investigate the effect of the program on maternal confidence and mood. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test. The analysis showed that maternal confidence of post-test was improved than that of pre-test with statistically meaningful figure (Z=-2.54, p<.05). The positive mood of post-test was also improved than that of pre-test and the result was statistically supported (Z=-2.20, p<.05). Conclusion: It is suggestive that the internet based social support programs is accessible and appropriate service to congenitally abnormal children's mother. It is necessary to develop and use the internet based social support programs in public health system.

Purpose : This study aimed to investigate the effects of a thoracic flexibility exercise program on pain, heart rate variability (HRV), and depression in patients with chronic low back pain. Methods : Fifty patients with chronic low back pain participated in this study. Each participant performed a pre-test and post-test. The outcome measures evaluated were a visual analog scale, HRV test results (automatic activity, standard deviation normal to normal [SDNN], low frequency [LF], high frequency [HF], and LF/HF ratio), and the Beck Depression Inventory. Patients underwent conventional physiotherapy for 35 minutes per session. In addition, a thoracic flexibility exercise program (trunk rotation exercise, McKenzie exercise, and supine thoracic extension exercise) were performed 3 times per week for 4 weeks. Results : After the training period, the visual analog scale results showed a significant decrease in the post-test compared to the pre-test. Automatic activity, SDNN, LF, HF, and LF/HF ratio significantly increased in the post-test compared to the pre-test. The Beck depression inventory results significantly decreased in the post-test compared to the pre-test. Conclusion : This study demonstrated that a thoracic flexibility exercise program improves a visual analog scale, HRV (automatic activity, SDNN, LF, HF, and LF/HF ratio), and the Beck Depression Inventory in patients with chronic low back pain.

This study investigates the effects of the operation of science activity program on scientific literacy focusing on science cultural literacy and core competencies for pre-service teachers. 255 pre-service teachers of K University participated, and the effects of the program were examined through a paired-sample t-test with one group pretest-posttest design for science cultural literacy. Only the post-test was conducted on core competency growth perception, and differences in growth perceptions by competency were compared using ANOVA. As a result of the study, the average of pre-service teachers was higher than the pre-test for science culture literacy, and this difference was statistically significant (p<.05). In the core competency growth perception, 70.6% of pre-service teachers reported growth in scientific communication ability, and as a result of the post-hoc test using LSD, it shows statistically significant growth compared to other competencies (p<.05). Through this, it was possible to confirm the educational value of the science activity program as a way to develop pre-service teachers' scientific literacy.
Purpose: To examine the effects of a smartphone application-based exercise program on self-efficacy expectations (SEE) and outcome expectations regarding exercise (OEE), physical fitness, activity level, physiological indices, and health-related quality of life in a sample of hemodialysis patients. Methods: A quasi-experimental control group pre-test post-test design was used. Subjects were recruited from two university hospitals in G city. The subjects were assigned randomly by coin toss: 33 participants to the experimental group and 30 to the control group. A literature review and the self-efficacy theory were used to develop the smartphone program. Experts designed and verified the program to be userfriendly and in consideration of user interaction. Data were collected through a self-report pre-test post-test questionnaire and online medical records. Results: In the experimental group, the levels of physical fitness and physical activity were significantly improved post-test, but the scores on health-related quality of life and the physical indices did not improve. In the experimental group, the SEE and OEE post-test scores were also significantly higher than the pre-test scores, but the control group's scores did not change. Conclusion: The smartphone application-based exercise program based on self-efficacy theory significantly improved the level of physical fitness and activity, SEE, and OEE for hemodialysis patients. The use of this application-based exercise program for hemodialysis patients might be an effective nursing intervention tool for improving SEE, OEE, level of physical fitness, and physical activity.
