An Experimental Study on Workability for Practical Use of High Workable and Normal Strength Concrete (고슬럼프 보통강도 콘크리트의 실용화를 위한 시공특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a reference data for the development of high workable and normal strength concrete using Polycarboxylate superplasticizer and granulated blast furnace slag as concrete admixtures. So in this study, it is quantitatively evaluated the workability, compressive strength, the heat of hydration and dry shrinkage of high workable concrete on normal compressive strength($21{\sim}27MPa$) for the practical use in construction field. As a result of this study, it is appeared that the performance of high workable and normal strength concrete is superior than that of ready-mixed concrete of the same strength through the B/P tests in the plants.

  • This study has attempted to derived an optimum fiber replacing ratio for practical use by measuring tensile strength and length deformation followed by variation of fiber replacing ratio among the basic characteristics of HPFRCC in order to evaluate the possibility of practical use of HPFRCC. As a result of performing experiment and research, the optimum replacement ratio was determined at the fiber replacing ratio of 1.5% when compressive strength, tensile strength and tensile stress-strain curve.

  • This study focuses on importance level analysis of environmentally-friendly planning factors using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AMP). This study verify different planning principle makes comparison matrix by a relative comparison value, verified consistency after yield weight to analyze more objective importance for apartment complex estate environmentally-friendly planning factor. In order to decide importance of apartment complex estate environmentally-friendly planning factors multiplying weight of verified planning principle with weight of planning factors. The results are as follows; First, importance of preservation of green tract of lands, Preparation of Biotop, Tree planting of sites, Propriety of development density high except Circulation and practical use of water. Next, valued planning factors constituent appeared to Energy efficient building plan, Rubbish recycling, thermal utilization of solar energy, Artificial tree planting of buildings etc. importantly. Finally, plan constituent that importance is underrated most appeared by Practical use of building materials and equipment, Centralization of energy and resources, Preservation of corridor etc.

  • A study is for improvement in practical use of RFID+4D. In the yard of construction industry, using information has become more important part to control total process. One of the way to improve the information using that comes from each step, RFID is getting attention. But it's not really adapted on construction industry. Especially, a study on the curtain wall part has a problem of engineering process. Each steps of curtain wall process are separated. If it' could be connect totally, controling information of curtain wall from producing to fitting become more efficient with adapted RFID+4D.

  • GongJu is a historical city. There has been scattered Baekje, Chosun and modern cultural heritages in GongJu. Cultural heritages in Baekje is simply preserved in their current condition. Chosun and modern cultural heritages have left their traces only, so that faded from the memory of the world. We must not lose the historical interconnectedness that is created by these heritages. This study is to analyze the architectural culture contents and its practical use program in urban side, and search for the strategy. The purpose of this study is as follows: The first is to retrieve the scattered heritages according to the age and area(as a spot). The second is to improve the street landscape through the linear linkage connecting from spot to spot.(as a line) The last is to create the image of historical city through the regional development.(as an area)

Asymptotic Decoupled Control of Induction Motors for High Dynamic Performance (동적 고성능 응답을 위한 유도전동기의 근사적 비간섭 제어)

  • In this paper, we attempt to achieve high dynamic performance by means of decoupled control of rotor speed and flux. Recently developed nonlinear feedback control theories are utilized. The rotor fluxes are estimated based on the rotor circuit equations. When the estimation error of the rotor flux tends to zero, the rotor speed and flux dynamic characteristics of the induction motor with our controller become linear. To minimize the deterioration of control performance, we use an identification algorithm for the rotor resistance. We analyze the dynamic behavior of the closed loop system with our controller. Both simulation and experimental results are included to demonstrate the practical significance of our result. In particular, our experimental results show that recently developed nonlinear feedback control techniques are of practical use in control of induction motors.

Interoperability of Spatial Data through Open Web Map Server

  • Over the past few years, a number of studies have been made on web map services, which enable the GIS user to access spatial data through the web. They, however, have focused on only implementation techniques separately, such as map client implementation, map server implementation, communication between client and server, and the map data representation. Therefore, it is hard to share and practical use the spatial data, because they does not ensure interoperability in heterogeneous map servers. In this paper, we have designed and implemented the web map server with open architecture, which complies with the standard interfaces proposed by OpenGIS Consortium (OGC). In particular, we have extended the OGC’s interfaces for a map server to support one or more data sources. This paper has contributed to construction and practical use of web map services by newly proposing the method of implementation of a map server, which could be reused regardless of the types of data sources.

Making and Using an Ecological Learning-Place in Primary Schools in Daegu (대구 지역 초등학교의 생태학습장 조성과 활용)

  • Because of the rapid industrialization and urbanization, urban dwellers are lack of opportunity to contact with nature, and hence alienated from it. In particular, primary school children who are very sensible to nature need more opportunities to learn nature by direct interactions with it. For this purpose, a movement for making and using ecological learning-place in play-ground within primary school. It has been found as a result of research on ecological learning-places in 7 primary schools in Daegu that such places, equipped with several ecological facilities, provide both pupils and local dwellers around schools with a place for ecological learning and for rest. But some of them have been left without care and hence can not be properly used, because of inappropriate site, insufficient facilities, and deficient programme for practical use. In conclusion, the paper reconfirms importance of ecological learning-place within grounds of primary school in terms of its educational, social and ecological effects, and suggests briefly some measures to encourage its construction and practical use.

  • The present study described an antimicrobial spray composition comprising nanosized silica-silver particles, in which nano-silver is bound to silica molecules and a water-soluble polymer, the nanosized silica-silver particles prepared by irradiating a solution comprising a silver salt, silicate and the water-soluble polymer with radiation rays. According to a surfactant addition, the compositions were not turbid and were colorless. Also samples (cotton fabrics and wallpaper) were treated with the compositions also did not cause any stains even after drying under sunshine and at $80^{\circ}C$. Our results suggested that the spray formulation product was of practical use to control indoor fungi.

  • For the practical use as a biosensor, a rubber electrode bound by polybutadiene was newly devised for the determination of hydrogen peroxide. Then its electrochemical behaviors were investigated. The signal could be obtained at low electrode potential between 0.0 ~ -0.5 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) with a detection limit of $1.4{\times}10^{-4}M$ and its potential dependence was linear in the experimental range. Especially its Lineweaver-Burk plot showed a very good linearity giving the evidence of a good enzyme immobilization on the surface of the electrode. And mechanical stability of the electrode resulted from using rubber binder presented a new possibility for the practical use of biosensor.
