Purpose: This study proposes measures needed to implement a job-based national practical exam for dental technicians. Methods: For this study, a survey was conducted targeting 244 currently employed individuals. The current national practical test for dental technicians was divided into directions for the job-based practical test, subjects that need improvement among the current practical test subjects, items that need to be reflected in the practical test evaluation for each subject, and subjects that need to be added to the practical test. It comprised ten questions (Cronbach's α=0.801). Results: The following results were obtained. Satisfaction with the current practical test was lower than average. Future improvement should focus on job-based evaluation. The dental ceramic lab technology subject needs to be reorganized urgently, and the tasks that require evaluation for each subject are different. Moreover, if evaluation subjects are added in the future, the introduction of assessment for dental CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) subjects was found to be the most urgent. Conclusion: In this study, the most necessary tasks of the current national practical examination for dental technicians were evaluated and the content needed for future reorganization was investigated. Future tests should be expanded to evaluate critical job areas. Furthermore, it is necessary to open new courses in fields such as CAD/CAM, as they are in high demand in the workplace.

This study was to review the child research articles in the field of home economics in Korea for the last two decades and to evaluate the child studies in terms of home much the child research had contributed to society. For the purposes of this study all the child research articles that had been published in the three representative academic journals of Korea were reviewed. A framework to evaluate child studies was decided in accordance with objectives of the research theoretical and practical, Theoretical studies imply ones dealt with child development and personality parent-child relations development of measures and thoughts on children while practical studies mean the research on development of parent education programs child education programs mental health of children wellbeing of children and child welfare policies. Results of qualntitative analysis in this study showed increases in numbers of both theoretical and practical studies. Practical studies however occupied j st 4-12% of all the research article published in the last 20 years. The Results of this study indicated researcher' low involvement in pratical studies. Researchers in the field of child studies had most frequently conducted research on child development and parent-child relations which were conducted based on theoretical knoledges from the West. For the practical child studies there were some studies on developing parent education programs and a few articles dealt with child welfare policies and wellbeing of children for two decades. Furthermore the major variables of the practical studies were analyzed and evaluated with respect to their contribution to society as well as socializing child relate issues. Finally the reasons of scholars' low involvement in practical studies and some suggestions for further studies to deal with practical child issues were discussed.

본 연구에서는 철도노선을 주행하는 열차의 성능과 노선의 선형정보를 이용하여 실용적인 철도노선의 선형 노후도 평가기법을 제안하였다. 일정한 성능의 열차가 직선 선로를 주행하는 시간을 기준으로 노선의 종단 및 평면 선형에 의하여 속도제한이 이루어지는 현황을 반영하여 늘어나는 주행시간을 비교하여, 시간의 함수로 정규화하여 노선의 선형에 따른 노후도 평가기법을 개발하였다. 본 기법은 통상적으로 차량운전성능시뮬레이션(Train Performance Simulation; TPS)을 이용하는 기법에 비하여 복잡한 차량성능 및 사양이 요구되지 않아 사용의 용이성이 확보되면서도 TPS 결과와 유사한 결과를 얻어 실용성 있는 평가가 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

Distressed structures require necessary remedial measures in order to restore their original structural properties like strength and stiffness. Validating the effectiveness of the proposed qualitative remedial measure experimentally is of utmost importance as there is no well-established analytical method to verify the effectiveness of the same quantitatively. Prototype testing which would have been the best option for this purpose would not only prove costly but also be associated with numerous practical difficulties; hence model testing is resorted as the only option for the purpose. This paper presents one such typical experimental study on the structural behavior of a distressed bridge, mainly observed in the form of prominent tilt in the bearing plate in transverse and longitudinal direction on downstream side. The main focus of the proposed experimental investigation is to assess the structural behavior particularly the load carrying capacity. The extent of deformation of some models with specific structural arrangements and some models with specific need based remedial measures were also studied. This study also assessed the contribution of each remedial measure towards restoration individually and collectively.

It is important to provide the farmers with practical and effective information of safety and health for individual crop to prevent or reduce occupational injuries in agricultural sector, since work characteristics and risk factors are not the same for all crops. In this study, risk assessment was carried out for cultivating shiitake mushrooms and then safety measures, which were based on the results of the risk assessment, were summarized and presented as the information of safety and health of shittake farmers. Guidelines for safety and health of the farmers of shiitake mushrooms, which were developed based on the risk assesment and safety measures, can be used by the farmers as self-educational tools or by the agricultural facilitators as an educational material for agricultural safety. It is expected that the guidelines can be useful in preventing occupational injuries of shiitake farmers.

300km/h의 고속으로 운행중인 선로구간에 중간역 설치에 따라 분기기 부설시 기존선로의 레일응력 해소방안이 필요하며 또한 속도제한을 높게 하고 기간을 단축시킬 수 있는 방안을 통해 열차 이용객의 불편을 최소화하여야 한다. 경부고속철도 중간역사 오송, 김천구미역 신설에 따른 분기기 설치는 짧은 야간 차단작업시간(1일 6시간)에 여러 부분으로 나누어 시행하여야 하고 곧바로 고속열차를 운행시켜야 하는 매우 어려운 조건으로서 국내에서는 처음이고 세계적으로도 매우 드문 사례이다. 본 논문에서는 작업조건, 장비, 안전조치 등에 관한 사항을 제시하였다.

Occupational injury rate of Korea recently slides slightly downward after stagnating around 0.7%'s for more than 10 years. To accelerate this trend, injury prevention for small enterprises is crucially important because vast majority of injuries take place in small enterprises. Considering huge number of small enterprises, we need to focus our efforts to type of riskier industries. By analysing detailed injury data, we select type of industries which need our concentrated prevention efforts. Several preventive measures are recommended, after we made literature survey of case studies for small enterprises. The result identifies riskier type of industries including transportation machinery manufacturing industry type(B), woods & veneer manufacturing industry, etc. Safety of machinery, new enterprises less than 2 years in service and new employees serving less than 6 months are in need for focused prevention efforts. To cope with these vulnerable spots, recommended preventive measures include strengthening of machinery safety standards, early assistance for safety to new enterprises, mandatory safety education before employment, etc.

The purpose of this study is to make profits and enhance national competitiveness through the globalization of Korean food. For this purpose, this study analyzed the certificate of qualification for Korean cooking technicians in the field of technical cooking. The results of presenting the perception, motivation for acquisition, and improvement measures of the Korean cooking certificate are as follows. First, as for the perception, if Korean cooking technicians acquire the certificate, they are acknowledged to acquire the qualifications and basic technology as licensed cooks in Korean food; however, they cannot practically execute cooking affairs. They cannot receive additional marks in time of employment. Getting the special education in cooking schools is helpful to acquiring the certificate. Second, the motivation for acquisition results from its advantage over other types of business, and a hope for running Korean food restaurants. Third, the improvement measures cover changing examination contents to be utilized in practical affairs, improving cooking methods, fair evaluation, and considering excessive technicians not to depreciate the value of the certificate.

Following the idea of "what you measure is what you get," this paper discusses the necessity to improve the plan and management of Application Service Provider (ASP) service based on performance evaluation. The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) has been used as a tool for suggesting the measures that can evaluate performance of a company by considering both financial and non-financial perspectives. The current BSC does not provide techniques to formally define, verify, implement and analyze the performance measures of ASP. Therefore, we developed a methodology for strategy development of ASP service by analyzing the BSC performance measures. This methodology provides a strategy for improving ASP service. The methodology proposed in this paper provide executives with core parts for achieving vision as well as the corresponding interpretation model for developing strategy. The methodology consists of the following two phases: BSC and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) phase. The methodology is illustrated through a case study in each phase. The case study shows practical deployment of our methodology.

Even experienced clinicians have difficulties in diagnosing posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) exactly, due to its diverse clinical features, which vary according to individuals, traumas, and various comorbid psychopathologies, and its related compensation issues. It is usually mandatory for clinicians and researchers to use screening and assessment tools when diagnosing and evaluating PTSD. To date, research has developed numerous PTSD screening and assessment tools ; therefore one of the cardinal issues is to select the best of the various tools, the one most suitable for the clinician's or researcher's purposes. This article reviews several currently-available subjective and objective instruments for the diagnosis and evaluation of PTSD and groups them according to whether they are Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders-Correspondent Measures ; PTSD-Focused, Non-DSM-Correspondent Measures ; or Empirically Derived Measures. We present the instruments' psychometric properties and scoring methods and describe their merits and weak points, focusing on their practical usage.
