This paper addresses three central decision-making problems frequently encountered in developing evaluation checklists for ex-post evaluation of R&D projects at private R&D centers: 1) what kind of evaluation elements and factors should be included in the evaluation forms\ulcorner 2) how much weight should be assigned to each evaluation factor and element\ulcorner and 3) could the same evaluation elements and factors with weights be applied all the project type(research, development, and engineering)\ulcorner To answer these questions, we identified the evaluation elements/factors based on the review of relevant literature and measured the perceptions of researchers, R&D managers, and top managements of the three private R&D centers to get the information about the importance levels of the elements and the weights of the factors for each of the three project types. The findings include that 1) all the evaluation elements derived from the literature exhibited high importance levels, and 2) the importance levels of the elements and the weights of the factors were quite varied along the project types. Theoretical and practical implications of the findings for ex-post evaluation of R&D projects are discussed.

The purpose of this study aims to confirm the importance of customer selection attributes of beef restaurants. This study found a selection attributes for a beef specialty restaurant, and proved the hypothesis through empirical analysis. Along with the increase in income levels over the past decade, the restaurant industry has grown. In contemporary society, where quality of life is becoming more important, the restaurant industry has expanded the importance of service quality. In particular, for meat consumption, per capita beef consumption is expected to increase every year; the effect of the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement is also expected to further increase the consumption of high-quality and high-priced U.S. beef. However, like the study of general restaurant-selection factors in restaurant management research, studies of beef restaurants and commercial studies considering consumers' selection attributes are scarce. This study verified the characteristics of consumer choice for restaurants specializing in beef, and how quality, price, restaurant atmosphere, and employee service impacted customer satisfaction. We suggest that beef restaurants should focus more on atmosphere and service in addition to food price and quality, which are the choice factors for restaurants in general. This study empirically verified the importance of selection attributes, providing theoretical and practical implications.

Objective: This study aimed to reveal early childhood teachers' perceptions of teacher competency for ESD using concept mapping and demonstrating its importance. Methods: 16 early childhood teachers in charge of 3-5 year olds conducted statement writing, and then the importance of selected statements were rated by 160 early childhood teachers in charge of 3-5 year olds. Selected statements were analyzed through multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis. Results: Early childhood teachers perceived teacher competency for ESD in early childhood as concept mapping with two-dimensions and six clusters. The following six clusters were established (1) ethics for sustainable development, (2) willingness to participate in ESD, (3) development and operation of a sustainable development curriculum, (4) recognition and practice of environmental issues, (5) realization of value for sustainable development, and (6) practical thinking for ESD. And then among the six clusters, the most important cluster was recognized as 'ethics for sustainable development', and among the statements 'having an open mind to understand multiculturalism and the disabled' was considered relatively important Conclusion/Implications: Based on these results, we discussed the importance of teacher competency for ESD in early childhood, development of teacher competency scale, and preparation of a teacher education plans for each competency.

This study was conducted to find out the relationship between the perception of the necessity and importance of creative teaching methods and core competencies in universities. A total of 142 people who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study were selected and surveyed using the Naver online questionnaire. It was found that the necessity and importance of creative teaching methods was related to the sub-factors of core competencies such as practical field competency, problem-solving competency, convergence competency, communication competency, job ethics, community consciousness. University education should actively introduce and apply creative teaching methods such as action learning and PBL, focusing on improving core competencies, which are actual abilities to be performed in the field.

In this study, we tried to evaluate the relative importance and find out the differences in consumer perceptions regarding service recovery strategies and the service provider in the distribution industry by using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis method. Therefore in this study, we tried to systematize various recovery strategies which were considered very important during service failure process in the distribution industry and analyze the relative importance for each recovery strategy. We set hierarchy composed of four items of monetary, action-oriented, psychological, and assured level as primary selection criteria and a total of 16 items(indemnity, refund, gift, gift certificate, prompt resolution, exchange, manager support, explanation, apology, empathy, acknowledge, kindness, assortment, after service, manage subcontractor, manage employee) as secondary selection criteria. We tried to take one step further from the service sector and study service recovery strategies specialized in distributor services. This study suggests various implications about service recovery strategies of distributors. First, this study can provide practical implications - e.g. service recovery efforts should be applied differently depending on service channels. There is a perceptual difference with respect to the importance of the types of service recovery strategies between service provider and final customer. Second, we can find theoretical implications in terms of identifying the priorities through hierarchy design of new recovery strategies and comparison of each element from the classifications of the current fractional recovery strategies. We hope to help service providers to build more efficient recovery strategy system based on the results of this study.

Solid-liquid phase change (i.e. melting or solidification) occurs in a number of situations of practical interest. Some common examples include the melting of edible oil, metallurgical process such as casting and welding, and materials science applications such as crystal growth. Therefore, due to the practical importance of the subject, there have been a large number of experimental and numerical studies of problems involving phase change during the past few decades. Also, this study presented the effective way to enhance phase change heat transfer.

This study tried to develop an estimation model on the competitive power as a method to understand a practical index on the competitive power in order to improve the competitiveness of domestic bakery corporations and look into their internal structure. The results of the practical analysis are summarized below. First, eight critical success factors, which are considered important in competitive power in bakery corporations, were derived from preceding studies and an expert meeting. Second, this study performed a questionnaire with eight derived factors for bakery managers and employees. Seven critical success factors suitable for bakery corporations were chosen through validity and reliability tests. Third, this study performed an AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis in order to establish preference according to each factor and weight. The importance of factor concerned with the competitive power of bakery corporations according to the result of weight analysis appeared in order of customer resources, personnel resources, corporate images, material resources and qualities, technical capability, financial factors and pliability(time).

This study is executed to investigate the legal and administrative system of the traditional landscape achitecture of Chosun-Dynasty. To pursuit this purpose, All the Codes established in Chosun-Dynasty were examined thoroughly. In Chosun-Dynasty, the landscape architectural activities were mainly carried out by San-Tack-Sa, Chang-Won-seo in the Ministry of Industry and Sa-Po-Seo in the Ministry of Finance. Stipulated in the text, in the early part of Dynasty, Chang-Won-Seo was composed of 63 personnels and Sa-Po-Seo was about 160 personnels involving servants as well as high-ranked officials. But gradually, the size and importance of organizations were reduced. These three organizations were managing the traditional gardens. But the meaning of traditional garden which was expressed in the Codes was relation to the practical aspect, as if planting flowers or fruit trees and breeding animals. The provisions dealing with landscape architectural activities were very poor. Only the provisions concerning with planting and managing the trees of practical use, governing the silkworm rearing areas and prohibition of timbering and quarrying were stipulated.

This paper describes recently developed PC based Aids to Navigation Training Simulator (AtoN-TS) using Virtual Reality Modeling language (VRML). The purpose of AtoN-TS is to train entry-level cadets to reduce the amount of sea-time training. The practical application procedure of VR technology to implement AtoN-TS is represented. The construction method of virtual waterway world, according to the guidelines of International Association of Lighthouse Authorities (IALA) is proposed. Design concepts and simulation experiments are also discussed. Results from trial tests and evaluations by subject assessment, provide practical insight on the importance of AtoN-TS.

Since the importance of eco-friendly architecture is rapidly increasing, BIM receives significant attention as an alternative that would derive the practical results and apply the design values of eco-friendly design elements to the architectural design process. Therefore, this study establishes an Integrated Design System based on Green BIM by applying the eco-friendly design values logically and systemically. The study also proposes practical case studies to examine the possibility of application. As a result, the framework of Green based Integrated Design System(gbIDS) and a prototype of Web-based gbIDS were developed to improve the working environment of small architectural firms.
