틸팅차량 주전력변환장치 성능평가를 위한 계측시스템 (The Measurement System for Performance Evaluation of TTX Propulsion System)

  • The measurement system is composed of the industrial computers installed in the console and the measurement racks mounted on each car. It is utilized to accumulate the data by the communication card and the optical cable. The optical cable and power cable are coupled at the connector located in joint of train to make easy to disconnect car each other. The signal conditioner is designed to choose and to extend the channel for each sensor readily, In this study, the programs for measurement and analysis were also developed to understand the traction system characteristics of TTX. Using this measurement system, we studied that acceleration test, re-powering test and gradually powering test. From the test results, we saw the performances of the traction systems are normal.

  • This paper study on powering characteristic on speed variation of propulsion system of prototype 8200 electric locomotive propulsion system through simulation modeling. For this purpose, it being applied in the field of railway IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) elements are used. Converter was performed PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) control method that is used to control the phase and output voltage, and the inverter was carried an indirect vector control method to control the speed of traction motor. The results of simulation by modeling and experimental unit, we was confirmed that converter is controlled a unity power factor and output voltage by reference voltage. Also traction motor was controlled by indirect vector control and SVPWM inverter switching method very well.

9.77톤급 소형어선의 3자유도 구속모형시험을 통한 선속 별 운항성능 추정 (Estimation of a 9.77 G/T Small Fishing Vessel's Operating Performance Depending on Forward Speed Based on 3-DoF Captive Model Tests)

  • 본 연구에서는 연안 및 항만 내에서 운항이 빈번한 총톤수 9.77톤급 소형어선을 대상으로 구속모형시험을 수행하고, 선속 별 운항성능을 추정하였다. 연안 및 항내에서는 소형 어선이 주로 중저속 운항함을 고려하여, 구속모형시험은 8노트 이하에서 수행하였다. 실선을 1/3.5 축소한 모형선을 대상으로 선형예인수조의 프로펠러 단독특성, 저항, 자항추진 시험을 통하여 실선 선속 별 저항추진성능을 추정하였다. 그리고 타 단독특성, 3자유도 정적 및 동적 HPMM 시험을 수행하고 수평면 운항모델 내 유체력 미계수들을 도출하였다. 특히 사항 및 순수선수동요시험은 2~8노트 영역에서 수행되었고, 주요 선형 유체력 미계수들이 선속에 따라 현저하게 변화함을 파악하였다. 선형 유체력 미계수들을 Froude 수에 대한 함수화 한 후, 선속 별 시뮬레이션을 통하여 대상 어선의 조종성능을 검토하였다.

  • A new kind of bulb called Stern-End-Bulb(SEB) for the improvement of the after part of fine hull forms was developed. The reduction of wave resistance and the improvement of the powering performance for the ship with SEB were shown by the ship model tests, At the same time, the characteristics of wave in the vicinity of the stern and the mechanism of the resistance reduction by SEB were investigated. By the systematical variation of the SEB size, the optimum size of SEB was obtained.

  • mSilica developed a scalable integrated circuit solution for driving multiple arrays of LEDs to backlight TFT-LCD panels. The drivers incorporate adaptive power control of the DC-DC power supply powering the LEDs to improve the efficiency while synchronizing PWM dimming with video timing signals VSYNC and HSYNC to reduce motion blur.

  • The rectifier is the main element in the telecom DC power system. This paper investigates the advantages and disadvantages of three rectifier techniques ; thyristor, ferro - resonant, and switched - mode. Compared with other techniques, the switched - mode rectifier tech¬nique offers several advantages such as higher efficiency, smaller size and weight, and lower audible noise. Technical requirements in telecom rectifier plant are also described. Finally, the future trends in telecom powering are discussed in connection with the advance oftelecom net¬works.

Hull Form Design for Baltic Ice Class Aframax Tanker

  • A hull form of Baltic ice class IA Aframax tanker has been developed taking into consideration of powering performance in brash ice channels based on IA class rules. Speed performance of the ship hull form in normal seagoing has been validated through model tests in a towing tank. The hull form design developed in this work has demonstrated good speed performance in normal seagoing although the ship design is entitled to ice class IA.

  • 전자 기기의 빠른 발전에 따른 무선 기기들의 사용은 급격히 늘어나고 있다. 그래서 이런 제품에 자가 발전이 가능한 재료를 적용시키는 사례가 점차 늘고 있다. 여기에 사용되는 재료로서 poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)가 있는데 PVDF는 piezoelectricity를 낼 수 있는 특별한 결정구조인 ${\beta}$-phase를 가지고 있다. 이 논문에서는 piezoelectricity에 결정적인 영향인 ${\beta}$-phase 함량을 증가시키기 위해 다층 PVDF 필름을 제조하였다. 이 PVDF 필름은 용매인 DMAc에 10%로 용해시킨 깃으로 spin rate는 850 rpm, spin time은 60초이며 건조온도는 $60^{\circ}C$이다. 비교적으로 다층 필름은 단열 층보다 더 높은 ${\beta}$-phase함량을 나타내었다 이 ${\beta}$-phase함량은 4-layer 필름이 되기까지 점차 증가되었으며 최대 함량은 7.72이다.

Comparative study of prediction methods of power increase and propulsive performances in regular head short waves of KVLCC2 using CFD

  • This paper employs computational tools to predict power increase (or speed loss) and propulsion performances in waves of KVLCC2. Two-phase unsteady Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations have been solved using finite volume method; and a realizable k-ε model has been applied for the turbulent closure. The free-surface is obtained by solving a VOF equation. Sliding mesh method is applied to simulate the flow around an operating propeller. Towing and self-propulsion computations in calm water are carried out to obtain the towing force, propeller rotating speed, thrust and torque at the self-propulsion point. Towing computations in waves are performed to obtain the added resistance. The regular short head waves of λ/LPP = 0.6 with 4 wave steepness of H/λ = 0.007, 0.017, 0.023 and 0.033 are taken into account. Four methods to predict speed-power relationship in waves are discussed; Taylor expansion, direct powering, load variation, resistance and thrust identity methods. In the load variation method, the revised ITTC-78 method based on the 'thrust identity' is utilized to predict propulsive performances in full scale. The propulsion performances in waves including propeller rotating speed, thrust, torque, thrust deduction and wake fraction, propeller advance coefficient, hull, propeller open water, relative rotative and propulsive efficiencies, and delivered power are investigated.
