  • Compression ignition diesel engine can reduce carbon emission than gasoline engine in case of high efficiency, output and durability. So, compression ignition diesel engine is used in various fields such as automobiles, industries and so on. Due to reducing of emission exhaust by Developing of injection and combustion type of diesel engine, emission of pollution substance is developed compared the past. Moreover, its efficiency and reduce of carbon emission is better than gasoline engine and it is used in power source of industries, transports and others because of its high efficiency and durability nowadays. In this study, we experiment by making and designing of compression ignition diesel engine witch has air-cooling, 2 cylinder and 2 strokes.

  • The pantograph-catenary system is one of important components for high-speed rail system that are powered electrically. Electrical power is delivered from a catenary structure to the train via a pantograph and thus it is very important to regulate the contact force between catenary and pantograph. Although a lot of research results for active pantograph have been reported, most of them have made an unrealistic assumption that the catenary displacement is constant with respect to the time. In this paper, we present a new pantograph model that regards the catenary displacement as an unknown disturbance input. Moreover, a disturbance observer based controller is proposed to remove the effect of disturbance, i.e., the catenary displacement variation. The computer simulation result shows that the substantial improvement in regulating the contact force can be achieved by the proposed controller.

  • In order to speed up basic concept is to enhance high speed, curve limit speed, cross limit speed, acceleration/deceleration speed. It is important to optimal interface, fundamental technology of vehicle, rail, electrical power, and signal system. Tilting train has advantage minimizing investment cost of infra railway system for increasing train limit speed in curve. the developed tilting train should be operated to commercial service speed 180km/h of 200km/h at KNR upgrade railroad. This paper proposed the basic model of system engineering for developing of tilting EMU(maximum operation speed : 180km/h) with speed-up of conventional railway system.

  • Spot 용접의 역사는 1877년에 E. Thomson이 발명한 것이지만 1886년 처음으로 저항 용접기의 특허를 취득할 때까지는 거의 실용화 되지 못하였다. 그 후 Thomson의 전기 용접기 회사가 저항 용접의 특허를 거의 독점한 관계로 커다란 발전없이 spot 용접에 관한 특허 분쟁이 해소된 1920년 이후 보급되기 시작하여 1935년경 부터 증가 하였다. 초기에는 주로 맞대기 용접에 이용되고 전선의 접합이나 크게는 rail의 용접 에까지 이르렀다. 금세기에 들어와서부터 spot 용접이나 seam 용접이 실용화되고 관련 용접 장치도 개발되었다. Spot 용접은 자동차 공업과 더불어 크게 발전하였으며 오늘 날에는 spot 용접 생산의 약 2/3를 자동차 공업이 점유하고 있다. Spot 용접은 고온 압접의 일종으로 각종 압접 방법중에서 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 것이다. 접합하고저 하는 부분에 직접 고전류를 통하고 그 전류에 의한 저항 발열로 용접부의 온도를 상승 시켜 용접하는 것으로서 극히 짧은 시간에 용접이 가능하고 고속, 고능률이므로 특히 다량 생산에 적합하다.

  • In the article 16 of the domestic rolling stock crashworthiness regulations, the collision acceleration level during collision accidents should remain under the maximum 7.5g and the average 5g. By the way, the accelerations obtained in crash simulations and tests contain many kinds of high frequency components due to numerical oscillations or noisy signals. So, this paper aims to develop reliable post-processing methods to filter high frequency oscillations and extract the rigid body motions of passenger rail cars. For this study we used the 1-dimensional dynamic model of KHST (Korean high-speed train), and evaluated acceleration data at the driver's area in the first power car and the passenger area in the following trailer.

  • Safety of railroad is result of reliability which is received from test & evaluation of system. Railroad system is consisted of various sub system such as vehicle, supply of electric power, signal, communication, rail track construction, operation. To secure safety of railroad, evaluation about parts, assembly, sub system, whole system etc.. that compose railroad is essential. In this paper, I wish to describe for results that analyze korean tilting vehicle's derailment coefficient developed by national research achievement. Result that evaluation korean tilting vehicle's running safety, verified that secure even if speed-up 30 km/h than operating speed of present in curved track.

  • In order to confront the increasing air pollution and the tightening emission restrictions, this research developed a diesel engine using DME, the advanced smoke-free alternative fuel. By numerical analysis, flow field, spray, and combustion phenomenon of the DME engine was presented. Using an experimental method, the configuration of the fuel supply system and operation/power performance was tested with the current plunger pump. Most emission performance, especially smoke performance was significantly improved. The possibility of conversion from the current diesel engine into the DME engine was affirmed in this research. However, it was found that the increase of engine RPM and fuel amount need to be properly adjusted through matching the characteristics of fuel and injector for further improvement.

  • In this thesis, the impact analysis for the shunting procedure using the dynamic buffer characteristics of the coupler was developed. In this study, each car was modeled as one dimensional element by using the equivalent system. After the impact, the slip exists only between wheel and rail in the braked trainset. For this analysis the analysis code named the POTAS-MSM (Power Transmission Analysis Software Multi Slip Mechanism) which was developed for the numerical analysis of dynamic system is developed. The validation of this analysis was proven by comparing the numerical results with the results of world-famous S company which is located in Europe.

  • When the high speed train (KTX) departs from station in the high-speed line, intermittent on-board signal disappearance causes a hindrance of the operation punctuality. Therefore, we have a research objective to verify the causes of hindrance and to find an improvement plan. process of research, when train leaves the station, we applied sand on the rail to improve adhesive power, that sand has an effect on the ATC(Automatic Train Control) signal wave. We detected & analyzed signal waves which is came from detecting device by changing operation condition in accordance with sand material overage detection to be achieved.

  • This paper specified the measurement results conducted by the Korea Electric Power Research Institute (KEPRI) 765kV double circuit transmission test line that measured the audible noise, hum noise, radio interference, electric field and aeolian measurement. This test line consists of 6-480mm$^{2}$ conductors per phase. The analysis of the test results shows that this 6-Rail conductor bundle satisfies the audible noise criterion under the stable rainy weather condition and the radio interference level under the fair weather. And the other items are also agreed with the design level criterion. (author). 9 refs., 7 figs., 2 tabs.
