In this paper, we studied about the radiated emission of EFT(Electrical Fast Transient)/Burst signal, referenced IEC-61000-4-4 of the international EMC standard and its effect on EUT(Equipment Under the Test) when EFT/Burst signal (Conducted noise) induced on a power cable to EUT. Firstly, we set up test sample by the standard and +4 kV standard signal is induced by EFT/Burst signal generator with 1 m length power cable for 1 minute. Consequently, we found not only induced EFT/Burst signal along power line, but also directly radiated emission signal from EFT/Burst signal generator (Radiated emission noise of EFT/Burst). The radiated emission signal of EFT/Burst was 30 dB which is higher than limit of CISPR 22 which is international EMC standard. Moreover, we measured the electric field strength by changing distance from maximum radiated emission point to electric field strength tester. As a result, this electric field strength was 23 V/m which is higher than international EMC standard test level(CISPR 24). Therefore, it was confirmed that the probability of malfunction may be high when radiated emission of EFT/Burst noise exists near the EUT.
Agricultural machine is currently operated by man power in the greenhouse, which is oppressively hot and humid, and is for a farmer not to work in comfortable circumstances. In the future, agricultural machine will not have to operate by man power, but it will need do by unmanned power. In order to put into the automatic and unmanned operation of agricultural machine, this system was designed and built to move through the fixed path in the greenhouse. This system was composed of guiders(wires), a limit switch, an operating equipment, its software for automatizing a machine in the greenhouse. The guider was connected between the wall pillars, and the equipment was able to slide over the fixed path made of the guider, by rectilinear and rotational motion. A micro mouse was developed with a stepping motor to calculate on the success rate of its operation with the system As might be expected, this system with the micro mouse was moved the moved the paths with a success rate of 100% on the flat plane surface in our laboratory. However, on the sand plane or the other materials plane, the success rate was not better than 80%. If the micro mouse were well operated, the success rate was would be 100%. Based on the results of this research, this system would be expected to operate well on the path made of a simple wire.

Brillouin backscatter is a type of reflection that occurs when light is shone into an optical fibre. Brillouin reflections are very sensitive to changes in the fibre arising from external effects, such as temperature, strain and pressure. We report here several case studies on the measurement of strain using Brillouin reflections. A mechanical bending test of an I beam, deployed with both fiber optic sensors and conventional strain gauge rosettes, was performed with the aim of evaluating: (1) the capability and technical limit of the DTSS technology for strain profile sensing; (2) the reliability of strain measurement using fiber optic sensor. The average values of strains obtained from both DTSS and strain gauges (corresponding to the deflection of I beam) showed a linear relationship and an excellent one-to-one match. A practical application of DTSS technology as an early warning system for land sliding or subsidence was examined through a field test at a hillside. Extremely strong, lightweight, rugged, survivable tight-buffered cables, designed for optimal strain transfer to the fibre, were used and clamped on the subsurface at a depth of about 50cm. It was proved that DTSS measurements could detect the exact position and the progress of strain changes induced by land sliding and subsidence. We also carried out the first ever distributed dynamic strain measurement (10Hz) on the Korean Train eXpress(KTX) railway track in Daejeon, Korea. The aim was to analyse the integrity of a section of track that had recently been repaired. The Sensornet DTSS was used to monitor this 85m section of track while a KTX train passed over. In the repaired section the strain increases to levels of 90 microstrain, whereas in the section of regular track the strain is in the region of 30-50 microstrain. The results were excellent since they demonstrate that the DTSS is able to measure small, dynamic changes in strain in rails during normal operating conditions. The current 10km range of the DTSS creates a potential to monitor the integrity of large lengths of track, and especially higher risk sections such as bridges, repaired track and areas at risk of subsidence.
Numerical simulations were performed to evaluate the habitability of an operator for a cabinet fire in the main control room of a nuclear power plant presented in NUREG-1934. To this end, a Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS), as a representative fire model, was used. As the criteria for determining the habitability of operator, toxic products, such as CO, were also considered, as well as radiative heat flux, upper layer temperature, smoke layer height, and optical density of smoke. As a result, the probabilities of exceeding the criteria for habitability were evaluated through the sensitivity analysis of the major input parameters and the uncertainty analysis of fire model for various fire scenarios, based on V&V (Verification and Validation). Sensitivity analyses of the maximum heat release rate, CO and soot yields, showed that the habitable time and the limit criterion, which determined the habitability, could be changed. The present methodology will be a realistic alternative to enhancing the reliability for a habitability evaluation in the main control room using uncertain information of cabinet fires.
The amount of greenhouse gas emission reduction based on INDCs (Intended Nationally Determined Contributions) submitted to UN by each party is not sufficient to achieve the Paris Agreement's aim to "hold the increase in the global average temperature to well below $2^{\circ}C$ above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to $1.5^{\circ}C$" which was determined in the $21^{st}$ Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC (COP 21). Accordingly, the emission reduction target of each party will be revised for the $2^{\circ}C$ goal. Among the several options to reduce the carbon emission, CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) is a key option to curb $CO_2$ emissions from large emission sources such as fossil-based power plants, cement plants, and steel production plants. A large scale CCS demonstration projects utilizing $1^{st}$ generation $CO_2$ capture technologies are under way around the world. It is anticipated, however, that the deployment of those $1^{st}$ generation $CO_2$ capture technologies in great numbers without government support will be difficult due to the high capture cost and considerable increase of cost of electricity. To reduce the carbon capture cost, $2^{nd}$ and $3^{rd}$ generation technologies are under development in a pilot or a bench scale. In this paper, current status of large scale CCS demonstration projects and the $2^{nd}$ and $3^{rd}$ generation capture technologies are summarized. Novel capture technologies on wet scrubbing, dry sorbent, and oxygen combustion are explained in detail for all capture areas: post-combustion capture, pre-combustion capture, and new combustion technologies.
It is important for the fabrication of nuclear cladding to optimize the microstructure, because the properties of Zr-based nuclear claddings such as mechanical properties, oxidation-resistance and corrosion- resistance vary widely with its microstructure. The microstructure in Zr-based alloy is strongly dependent on the solubility of alloying element. However, it is very difficult to measure the solubility due to the low solution limit of alloying elements in Zr-based alloy. In this study, Thermoelectric Power(TEP) measurements are used to determine the solubility of Nb in Zr-0.8Sn alloy, which is confirmed by optical microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The solutioning of Nb obtained by a homogenization treatment and water-quench leads to a decrease of TEP The saturation of TEP appears with the increase of homogenization temperature, which means the saturation of the Nb content in the matrix. From these results, the solubility ($C_{Nb}$) of Nb in Zr-0.8Sn with temperature could be expressed as fellow equation : $4.69097{\times}10^{16}{\times}e^{-25300\times\;I/T}$(ppm.at.%)

The raise of the acceleration can be one of possible methods to increase the scheduled speed of the metropolitan railway system. It is possible to raise the acceleration to the some point by increasing the traction power of the motor. However, there is a limit of the acceleration because the traction power over some level related to the adhesion causes a slip, which prevents from accomplishing the target acceleration. The running resistance is also an important factor to consider. Both the adhesion and the running resistance as well as the traction power vary according to the velocity. Therefore, the standardization of the acceleration needs the analysis of these factors as a function of velocity. In this study, we focus on the advanced urban transit unit(AUTS) for the standardization. We derive a novel equation of the adhesion suitable for the AUTS by investigation of the traction and adhesion equation as well as the experiment data. And finally we propose the standard of the acceleration based on this analysis.

In this paper, we design a 256-bit EEPROM IP using only logic process-based devices. We propose EEPROM core circuits, a control gate (CG) and a tunnel gate (TG) driving circuit, to limit the voltages between the devices within 5.5V; and we propose DC-DC converters : VPP (=+4.75V), VNN (-4.75V), and VNNL (=VNN/3) generation circuit. In addition, we propose switching powers, CG_HV, CG_LV, TG_HV, TG_LV, VNNL_CG, VNNL_TG switching circuit, to be supplied for the CG and TG driving circuit. Simulation results under the typical simulation condition show that the power consumptions in the read, erase, and program mode are $12.86{\mu}W$, $22.52{\mu}W$, and $22.58{\mu}W$ respectively. Furthermore, the manufactured test chip operated normally and generated its target voltages of VPP, VNN, and VNNL as 4.69V, -4.74V, and -1.89V.

The present study numerically investigated the gas leakage characteristics in a simplified underground combined cycle power plant. The effect of obstacles near a crack location on the gas concentration in the confined space was analyzed by using the lower flammable limit (LFL) of methane gas. When the jet flow was close to the vertical walls, the longitudinal leakage distance increased by about 60% (when an obstacles was present) compared to the case without any obstacle, because these obstacles prevented transverse flows. In addition, when an air filter was installed near to the trajectory of the gas flow, the longitudinal leakage distance was similar to the distance between the crack and obstacle, whereas the transverse leakage distance increased up to 8 times compared to the case without any obstacle. As the jet flow impacts on the obstacle and changes its direction, the gas flows recirculate. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the effect of the structure and facility locations on the trajectory of the jet flow to propose an accident prevention system in confined spaces.

In Korea, safety accidents are continuously occurring due to the aging of underground facilities and lack of systematic management. Moreover, although the underground space is continuously being developed, the current status information is not clearly recorded and managed, so there is a limit to the systematic management of underground facilities. Therefore, this study developed an augmented reality-based system that can effectively maintain and manage underground facilities that are difficult to manage because they are located underground. In order to develop an augmented reality-based underground facility management system, three essential requirements, 'precise localization', 'use of BIM information', and 'ensure usability' were derived and reflected in the system. By utilizing Broadcast-RTK, the positional precision was secured to cm level, and the configuration and attribute information of the BIM was converted into the IFC format to construct a system that could be implemented in augmented reality. It developed an application that can optimize usability. Finally, through simulation, the configuration and attribute information of structures and mechanical systems constituting underground facilities were implemented in augmented reality. In addition, it was confirmed that the accurate and highly consistent augmented reality system works even in harsh environment (near high-rise building).
