This study investigated how product attributes(aesthetics and function) and brand power influence consumers' product liking and quality evaluations. Results suggest that subjects evaluated higher no brand product than low brand product. Specifically brand power exhibits no significant influence in emotional product.
This paper aimed at analyzing the psychology of the people who tunes the car from the point of view of the theory of unconscious desire. The theory of unconscious desire to approach human psychology has two features. One point is that it can be applied only to human beings in the sense that animals does not have the unconscious. The other is that we can categorize some types of underlying unconscious desire instead of seeing human desire as the sundry desires according to the specific target. In this paper, we looked at the characteristics of each type of data obtained through interviews for people to tune the car from the point of view of the theory of unconscious desire.

Autonomic and EEG responses of 38 college students were studied during 60-sec long presentation of International Affective Picture System (IAPS )slides evoking, according to subjective reports, negative (disgust, sadness, surprise) and positive (happiness, exciting) emotional. states. Observed were significant heart rate (HR) deceleration, large skin conductance responses (SCR), moderate respiration frequency slowing, reduction of frontal (F 3, F 4 ) and occipital (O 1, O 2 ) fast alpha, and increases of theta, delta and beta relative spectral power values during the first 30 sec of exposure of IAPS pictures. Analysis carried out to differentiate emotion categories according to autonomic responses indicated that observed HR deceleration was larger in magnitude in surprise and sadness than in disgust, SCR amplitude higher in sadness than in disgust. EEC showed significant differences in theta (F 3, F 4 ) and delta (O 1) power increase in disgust vs. happiness, fast alpha (F 3, F 4 ) power was lower in surprise than in happiness, and slow beta power higher. in happiness than in disgust (0 1). Despite some differences. observed within discrete emotion conditions, overall responses pattern of monitored parameters exhibited similar profiles with few variations, most. obvious. in disgust state, which suggests that affective visual stimulation elicits stereotypical responses in a given passive viewing paradigm. However, the magnitude of physiological responses may vary to certain extent across discrete emotional states making it possible to differentiate among particular experimentally-induced emotional states, e.g., disgust vs. sadness by ANS responses or disgust vs. happiness by EEG measures.
Traditional mathematics education research is based on mathematics and psychology, but its function is limited. In the end of the 1980's, the social research of mathematics education appeared. The research views are from sociology, anthropology, and cultural psychology, and then it is an exterior research. The social research considers the relations, power, situation, context, etc. This paper analyzes the power relationship in mathematics classroom. Firstly, the power is defined. The meaning of the power is the foundation of this paper. Secondly, the power relationships in mathematics classroom are analyzed. The traditional mathematics classroom and collaborative learning classroom are considered. Thirdly, the paper analyzes the power resources and finds the some important factors that affect the power distribution.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the moderating role of emotional intelligence (EI) and goal-relevance in the relationship between power and emotional awareness. In Study 1, participants were ask to correctly indicate presented facial expressions of others after completing EI survey. Half of the participants were randomly assigned to the "power" condition and the other half to the "powerless" condition. In Study 2, goal-relevance of expressed emotion was manipulated. The results showed that EI moderated the relationship between power and emotion decoding ability. While participants with high and low levels of EI were not significantly affected by power condition, participants with middle level of EI were strongly influenced by the effect of power. In addition, the role of goal-relevance significantly moderated the relationship between power and emotional awareness. When correctly indicating other's emotion became important and thus emotional awareness was strongly associated with participants' goal, those who had power performed better than before.

Intensity of background noise is a factor significantly affecting both subjective evaluation of experienced stress level and associated electroencephalographic (EEG) responses during mental load in noisy environments. In the study on 27 subjects we analyzed the influence of the background white noise (WN) intensity on psychophysiological responses during a word recognition test. Electrocortical activity were recorded during baseline resting state and 40 s long performance on 3 similar Korean word recognition tests with different intensities of background WN (55, 70 and 85 dB).. An important finding in terms of physiological reactivity was similarity of all physiological response profiles between 55 and 70dB WN, i.e., none of physiological variables differentiated the two conditions, while 85dB WN resulted in a significantly different profile of reactions (higher fast beta power in EEG spectra). This condition was characterized by highest subjective rating of experienced stress, had more fast beta activity and had tendency of right hemisphere dominance, emphasizing the role of brain lateralization in negative affect control.

The paper is addressed to the topic of physiological response-specificity in disgust induced by visual stimulation. The purpose of this study was to evaluate reproducibility of physiological reactivity pattern during disgust elicited by the International Affective Pictures System (IAPS) in 2 experiments. Twenty-nine subjects participated in the first experiment with 3 visual stimulation sessions with disgust-eliciting slides (3 slides in each 1 min long session). In the second experiment disgust-eliciting slides from the IAPS were presented to 42 subjects in 2 sessions (one slide for 1 min). Spectral power of frontal EEG, skin conductance (SCL, SCR and NS.SCR), heart rate(HR), heart period variability(HPV) and respiration rate were recorded. Visual stimulation evoked 1:.n deceleration, higher power of high frequency component of HPV, increased SCL and NS.SCR frequency, frontal slow alpha blocking and moderate increase in fast beta power in most of the sessions in both experiments. However in the second experiment the EEG pattern associated with disgust showed inconsistent shifts in fast alpha and slow beta bands, but was marked by higher power of theta activity. Our data in both experiments emphasizes presence of disgust-specific profiles of autonomic and at the less extent EEG responses in visual stimulation context. Discussed are potential behavioral mechanisms leading to observed physiological manifestations in disgust elicited by visual stimulation. The results support the consideration that disgust is an withdrawal type negative valence emotion associated with relatively low autonomic arousal (low HR, low amplitude SCRs with relatively high NS.SCR frequency) and moderate EEG activation signs. Obtained data showed more consistent reproducibility of disgust-specific autonomic rather than EEG response patterns during visual stimulation design.

The purpose of the current study was comparative analysis of autonomic and electrocortical responses to passive and active touch of the tektites with different subjective emotional preference. Perspective goal of the project is development of a template for classification of tactile stimuli according to subjective comfort and associated physiological manifestations. The study was carried out on 36 female college students. Physiological signals were acquired by Grass and B10PAC 100 systems with AcqKnowledge III software. Frontal, parietal and occipital EEG (relative power spectrum /percents/ of EEG bands - delta, theta, slow and fast alpha, low and fast beta), and autonomic variables, namely heart rate (HR), respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA), pulse transit time (PTT), respiration rate (RSP) and skin conductance parameters (SCL, amplitude, rise time and number of SCRs) were analyzed for rest baseline and stimulation conditions. Analysis of the overall pattern of reaction indicated that autonomic response to tactile stimulation was manifested in a form of moderate HR acceleration, RSP increase, RSA decrease (lowered vagal tone), decreased n and increased electrodermal activity (increased SCL, several SCRs) that reflects general sympathetic activation. Parietal EEG effects (on contra-lateral side to stimulated hand) were featured by short-term alpha-blocking, slightly reduced theta and significantly increased delta and enhanced fast beta activity with few variations across stimuli. The main finding of the study was that most and least preferred textures exhibited significant differences in autonomic (HR, RSP, PTT, SCR, and at less extent in RSA and SCL) and electrocortical responses (delta, slow and fast alpha, fast beta relative power). These differences were recorded both in passive and active stimulation modes, thus demonstrating reproducibility of distinction between most and least emotionally preferred tactile stimuli, suggesting influence of psychological factors, such as emotional property of stimulus, on physiological outcome. Nevertheless, development of sufficiently sensitive .and reliable template for classification of emotional responses to tactile stimulation based on physiological response pattern may require more extensive empirical database.
In P300-based concealed information test (P300 CIT), it evaluates whether the P300 amplitude for the probe is significantly greater than that of the irrelevant to determine if the suspect is telling a lie. An independent sample t-test or a bootstrap method can be used as a statistical test to make that decision. Rosenfeld et al. (2004) used the bootstrap method, claiming that "t tests on single sweeps are too insensitive to use to compare mean probe and irrelevant P300s within individuals" and their method has been accepted to date. The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether the power of t-test is lower than that of the bootstrap method in the P300 CIT. The Monte Carlo study was conducted by using EEG collected from 39 participants. The results showed that the type I error rates of the t-test and the percentile bootstrap method were similar and the power of the percentile bootstrap method was slightly higher than that of the t-test. The type I error rates of the t-test and the percentile bootstrap method were slightly lower than the significance level and the powers of the two tests were also slightly lower than that of the theoretical t-test. On the other hand, the type I error rate and power of the standard error Bootstrap method were the same as those of the theoretical t-test and its power was .012 ~ .081 higher than that of t-test depending on experimental conditions.

This paper describes an expert system for soldiers psychology diagnosis. In the field warfare, platoon leaders or company commanders have to diagnose his soldier's condition correctly. The expert systems, a field of artificial intelligence, can be appropriate approach for ill-structured paradigm. This use an UNIK system. This UNIK system is composed of UNIK-FRAME, UNIK-BWD, UNIK-WBI, UNIK-INDUCE and UNIK-Interface. Especially, UNIK-WBI system is very useful to display soldiers psychology diagnosis and so easy to use it. Any leader or commander can easily do this. This paper data is based on DSMIV. Through This expert system, combat power can be kept and accidents be protected.
