The purpose of this study is to draw attention to the distinction of Korean food as well as to find ways to universalize Korean food. Not only does Korean food a big part of representing the Korean culture itself, the ingredients in the Korean food are extremely nutritious. The excellence in the ingredients has been verified through scientific studies over and over. Today, this is recognized widely by the food experts in the U.S. This study also points out some of the hurdles in universalizing Korean food. First of all, many people around the world are not aware of the positive aspects of the Korean food. There have been minimal efforts, if at all, to find ways to make fusion Korean food to be part of a world cuisine. The lack of research and development in the Korean food industry also does not help the situation much. Lastly, the limited knowledge of the actual people working in the food service sector regarding Korean food hinders the Korean food going universal. Currently, the food industry in the U.S. is quite favorable for Korean food to enter its markets to become part of the American cuisine. The Americans' appetite continues to change towards more healthy living leaning them naturally towards Asian food. For Korean food to become part of the American cuisine, the follow recommendations are given in the study: 1) Korean food must be localized, become a fusion cuisine; 2) standardize the cooking method; 3) change the focus to rice-centered trend food; 4) foster more Korean food experts; and, 5) promotion of strengthening food advertisements while increasing research and development. It is also important during this whole process, traditional Korean food be discovered and implemented to the overall food program in universalizing Korean food.
In this study, gifted children's perceptions of scientists were investigated. The subjects were 91 elementary students who were registered in educational program for the gifted. This study was conducted using Draw-A-Scientist-Test (DAST) and questionnaires about the life of scientists. As the results, most scientists were depicted as well-featured and young people. There was a tendency that boys mainly described scientists as male, but girls as female. Many of the students perceived scientists as those who did significant works to try to help other people and pursue the novelty The general perceptions of the gifted on scientists were positive. Majority of students, however, perceived that scientists worked indoors with glassware or chemicals. Relatively, fewer students described books, other materials, and technologies including computer. Many of the students perceived scientists'work as research or invention. Concerning working pattern, students mainly replied that scientists worked alone. In order to make students'restricted perceptions enhance for opened and flexible manner, various educational methods need to be implemented.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the multiple regression between the psychological well-being, Empathy ability Scale and Job Efficiency at relationship among on Teacher's job satisfaction among elementary, middle, high the whole country. It aims to find a method that can improve teacher's job satisfaction. The subjects for this study were 308 teacher's composed of 196 out of elementary school teachers, 62 out of middle school teachers and 50 out of high school nation wide. The result and discussion are as follows:First, if we take a look teacher's psychological well-being, Empathy ability Scale and Job Efficiency autonomy and school administration, compensation system, personal growth and school administration, compensation system, working environment, purpose of life and school administration, positive interpersonal relationships, self acceptance among subordinate variables of psychological well-being, empathy ability scale, job efficiency of teachers at are all relevant to of subordinate variables except compensation system. Second, as a result of the multiple regression analysis, the significant variables which affect teacher's job satisfaction are ranked in the order of human relationships, self acceptance, emotional factors. whole all variables are not significant.
The purpose of this study is to find out the successful way of the hospital management focusing on the OCS. More than 40 educational hospitals have OCS. However, only five of them were chosen for the research. Questionnaires are collected from more than 750 persons working in five educational hospitals and some of them were interviewed. The major conclusions of the study can be summarized as follows: o The OCS has simplified the treatment procedure for outpatients, and the outpatients' waiting time has been shortened. o Higher rate of satisfaction was found among the personnel in general. o The number of patients who visited outpatients clinics has increased, so as the hospital profits: the personnel are rescheduled or sent to other departments the number of employees in hospitals have decreased. o The system has the positive effect on large hospitals with over 1000 beds, highly invested hospitals, well computerized hospitals and where the personnel are much interested in the system. o The managers' and the doctors' intention to utilize the OCS is the most important factor influencing the patients' convenience, the simplification of the work and the rate of the employees' satisfaction about their duties. The suggestions for more efficient hospital management through the OCS are as follows ; o The managers and the doctors are need to decide to make active use of the OCS. o The hospital can be run more effective under the clear management purpose. o The work in the hospital must be standardized based on patients' needs. o The OCS must be built and developed mainly for the users' utility. o The education of the personnel and the inspection of the program are necessary before the OCS is introduced. o The hardware should be thoroughly benchmarked before the purchase.
As the environment related to hospital operation has changed very competitively in recent years, a need to reform the hospital management is ever growing. For that reason, it has become more urgent and strategically important for us to diagnose the organizational culture of the hospitals and to make efforts to change them towards more performance- and customers-oriented one. So far, there have been many studies done on the hospital organizations. However, this research distinctively attempts to base itself on the competing values approach in studying the organizational culture and empirically examine how different profiles of the organizational culture may have an impact on the organizational performances in hospital organizations. The results of this study has showed several interesting findings and posed the discussions to be dealt with. First, most hospitals selected for this research are characterized by the inner-oriented culture with more focused on 'hierarchy' and 'relationship-oriented' culture rather than on 'reform' and 'work-oriented' one. And the strong 'hierarchy-oriented' culture is a very general phenomenon in the sample hospitals. From these findings, we can inference that despite the recent efforts of most Korean hospitals for organizational change and innovation they still have long distance way to go. In addition, another important implications of this research has come from the analysis of the relationships between the cultural profiles and organizational performances. For this purpose, this research has conducted a series of cluster analysis and identified four distinct cultural profiles from the sample organizations. Several major findings are as follows. First, with respect to the dependent variable of 'job satisfaction' perceived by the nurses working in the sample hospitals, we found that the balance of competing organizational values had more positive impact on the job satisfaction. This result confirms the hypothesis of competing values model on the organizational performances. However, such result was not replicated on the other dependent variable, 'patients' satisfaction'. The reasons for these results and other discussions including the limitations of this study are suggested.
This study was conducted to find out factors affecting patient safety management activities at nursing devisions of two university hospitals. The indicators of patient safety activities used in the study were selected from Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture which was developed by The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in the United States. Data were collected from 372 nurses working at inpatient wards at two university hospitals located in Seoul and Won-Ju cities through the self-administered questionnaires, and analyzed using frequency analysis, t-test, correlation, and regression analysis. The result of this study were as follows. First, The mean of patient safety management activities was 3.41 which was a little bit higher than the average level. The mean of communication within the ward was the highest, whereas that of patient safety management culture was the lowest. Second, there were significant differences in the perception of nurses on patient safety management activities in terms of the educational background, length of employment, and work hours per week. Third, three variables of communication within the unit, attitude of top management, and attitude of nurses have significant positive effects on patient safety management activities. Fourth, 37.4% of the variation in the patient safety management activities was explained by the study variables. In conclusion, hospital administration and nursing managers should make an effort to learn the knowledge of patient safety program, show their deep interest on the patient safety to the employees and motivate them to communicate effectively each other within the work unit to develop a good patient safety culture and system.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the obesity stress, weight bias and health care on Body Mass Index (BMI) in soldiers of non-combat area and to provide data for improving the quality of their life. Methods: This research involved 165 soldiers working in non-combat area. Data collection was conducted from November 1 to 20, 2015. Statistical analysis of the collected data were t-test and ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ method post hoc analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple liner regression using IBM SPSS 22.0. Results: The mean score of obesity stress was moderate ($19.05{\pm}5.28$). The mean score of weight bias was 69.03 and health care was 2.41 points. There are a positive correlation between obesity stress and BMI (r=.19, p<.05). Weight bias (r=-.19, p<.01) and health care (r=-.26, p<.01) among the subjects had negative correlations with BMI. In a multiple liner regression, obesity stress (${\beta}=.18$, p<.05), health care (${\beta}=-.18$, p<.05) were associated with BMI. Conclusion: Based on the findings that obesity stress and health care influence BMI, there is a need to control stress and to properly set proper guidelines on health care for soldiers.

Purpose: The purpose of this cross-sectional study was to describe smoking characteristics, and then to examine relationships between self-efficacy for smoking cessation and preparation of smoking cessation in service and sales woman employee with smoking in department stores. Methods: This study was a secondary data analysis carried by the smoking cessation support center. One hundred six employees smoking women participated from two department stores. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 program. Descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA along with $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, pearson correlation coefficients were used for statistics. Results: The study results have shown that the mean score of self-efficacy for smoking cessation $5.1{\pm}2.62$, preparation smoking cessation $4.0{\pm}2.89$. There was positive relation between self-efficacy for smoking cessation and preparation smoking cessation. Conclusion: Considering the findings from this study, there is a need to develop self-efficacy for smoking cessation program for effective smoking cessation in service and sales woman smokers employee.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the community development by the community involvement level of the corporate social contribution activities. This study classified Korean company's best social contribution activities according to the community involvement level and the effectiveness of the community development was analyzed on selected case activities. As a result, corporations that working on high level of community involvement show positive effectiveness of community development. Networking and communication with local people on the corporate social contribution activities have an effect on the community development of the economy, safety, convenience, comfortability, socio-cultural factor. It is necessary for the participation and communication with local people to develop corporate social contribution consistently. Furthermore, intermediary organization is needed to be set up various networks of stakeholders, especially community.
The government is working out the development of a venture enterprise through a venture certification system. The broad effects of its policies are anticipated by the government and revealed in the 'The Survey on Actual Condition of Venture Enterprises 2010'. These benefits include the revitalization of start-up, promotion of technological innovation, progress in marketing ability, improvement in corporate image, financing and investment, and benefit from tax reduction & exemption. However, with the estimation of production function and sales function, which both uses capital and labor as a basic elements, it was found that only 'financing and ease of investment' produces a statistically significant effect on production and sales. An addition, this study looks into whether venture-supporting system are helpful to the eradication of technical inefficiency. The policies brought about positive changes in reduction of technical inefficiencies except with regard to the ease of start-up where it was found that an increase in inefficiencies was the result.
