The Effects of Nascent Entrepreneurs' Positive Psychological Capital and Public Self-Consciousness on Entrepreneurial Intentions (예비 창업가의 긍정심리자본과 공적 자의식이 창업의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of prep-entrepreneurs psychological characteristics and entrepreneurial intention. For this purpose, this study established Positive psychological capital and Public self-consciousness as variables of psychological characteristics based on Social Identity Theory and, as factors affecting Positive psychological capital and Public self-consciousness, established Narcissism, Self-compassion and Career ambition as independent variables based on self-affirmation Theory. In order to verify research hypotheses, 358 questionnaires collected from prep-entrepreneurs were used for the empirical analysis. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, narcissism and self-compassion has a positive effect on positive psychological capital. Second, career ambition has a positive effect on public self-consciousness. Third, positive psychological capital and public self-consciousness has a positive effect on entrepreneurial intention. As the outcome of Mediating effect positive psychological capital and public self-consciousness has a Mediating effect on the relationship between narcissism, self-compassion, career ambition and entrepreneurial intention. This study has a meaning in that it confirmed the influential relationship between the prep-entrepreneurs' psychological characteristics and entrepreneurial intentions. In addition, this study suggested its implications, limitations, and future research directions based on the study results.

Effect of Job Stress, Emotional Labor, and Positive Psychological Capital on the Job Satisfaction of Physician Assistants (전담간호사의 직무 스트레스, 감정노동과 긍정심리자본이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of job stress, emotional labor, and positive psychological capital on the job satisfaction of physician assistants (PAs). Methods: The sample consisted of 166 PAs working in general hospitals in B city, Y city, and C city. Data were analyzed through the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program using t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Results: The factors of job stress (${\beta}=-.488$, p<.001), positive psychological capital (${\beta}=.188$, p=.004), and total clinical career (${\beta}=-.147$, p=.014) had the greatest influence on the level of job satisfaction experienced by the PAs. The total explanatory power was 49.9%. Conclusion: It was found that job stress, positive psychological capital, and total clinical career were influencing factors in the job satisfaction of PAs. Therefore, to improve their job satisfaction, it is necessary to develop strategies to manage the job stress experienced by PAs, and to strengthen and develop positive psychological capital.

Factors Affecting Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Operating Room Nurses (수술실 간호사의 조직시민행동 영향요인)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors related to the organizational citizenship behavior of nurses in the operating room (OR). These factors include positive psychological capital, perceived organizational culture, and job characteristics. Methods: A descriptive correlational study design was used. A total of 185 OR nurses from nine general and advanced general hospitals across three metropolitan areas in South Korea completed the questionnaires. The questionnaires included items on organizational citizenship behavior, positive psychological capital, organizational culture, and job characteristics. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis were conducted using SPSS/WIN 21.0. Results: The mean score for organizational citizenship behavior was 3.62 out of 5. Positive psychological capital, relationship-oriented organizational culture, and feedback on job characteristics were verified as influencing factors of OR nurses' organizational citizenship behaviors. The explanatory power of this regression model was 48.2%. Conclusion: Reinforcement of positive psychological capital of individual OR nurses and organizational efforts to endorse relationship-oriented organizational culture is required. It follows that OR nurses' organizational citizenship behavior can be enhanced based on mutual trust, cohesiveness, and feedback on their work performance.

Impact of dental hygienist's positive psychological capital on job satisfaction and job performance (치과위생사의 긍정심리자본이 직무만족과 직무성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to understand the effect of positive psychological capital on job satisfaction and job performance for dental hygienists. Methods: A survey was conducted from August to October 2020 among dental hygienists from a dental clinic in Busan, South Korea, and a total of 162 valid responses were analyzed. The statistical tool used for analysis was SPSS 25.0 (IBM Crop, Armonk, USA) and the significance level was 0.05. Results: The results of this study showed the relationships between job satisfaction with positive psychological capital (r=0.85, p<0.01), as well as job performance with positive psychological capital (r=0.88, p<0.01). There was a positive correlation between positive psychological capital and job satisfaction (r=0.85, p<0.01); and the contributing factors for the same were hope (p<0.05) and optimism (p<0.001). Further, positive psychological capital and job performance were positively correlated (r=0.88, p<0.01); the influencing factors for the same were hope (p<0.01), dynamic stability (p<0.05), and optimism (p<0.001). Conclusions: It is necessary to develop various intervention programs and strategies to strengthen the positive psychological capital in dental hygienists since it affects their job satisfaction and job performance.

Research on Positive Psychological Capitals of the Elderly Physical Director for the Activation of the Elderly Sports (노인체육 활성화를 위한 노인체육지도자의 긍정심리자본에 관한 연구)

  • To identify the influence of senior sports instructor's positive psychological capital on organizational performance, job engagement, and innovative behavior, this study conducted a research on 227 senior sports instructors at 5 sports centers and senior sports centers in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Incheon regions. The research results were as follows. First, positive psychological capital of senior sports instructors had a significant influence on all sub-factors of organizational performance. Secondly, positive psychological capital of senior sports instructors had a significant influence on all sub-factors of job engagement. Third, positive psychological capital of senior sports instructors had a significant influence on innovative behavior. Thus, this study verified that positive psychological capital is an important variable for enhancing organization performance, job engagement, and innovative behavior of group members. In addition, this study holds a great significance in proving positive psychological capital's positive influence on working environment of senior sports instructors.

The Impact of Job Stress and Positive Psychological Capital on Job Embeddedness in Clinical Nurses (임상간호사의 직무 스트레스, 긍정심리자본이 직무배태성에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study is a descriptive research study attempted to identify the job stress and positive psychological capital of clinical nurses and to identify the factors that impact job embeddedness. Methods: Data were collected from 115 nurses with over one year of clinical experience working at a 500-bed B General Hospital. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS 27.0 program using frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, Independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression. Results: As a result of multiple regression analysis, hope among the sub-factors of positive psychological capital (β=0.48, p<.001), matters related to the work schedule (β=-0.23, p=.005) among the sub-factors of job stress, and conflict with doctor (β=0.20, p=.013) was found to have an impact on job embeddedness, and the explanatory power of this regression model was 52.0% (F=13.12, p<.001). Conclusion: It was found that the positive psychological capital of clinical nurses has a positive impact on job embeddedness. In order to increase the job embeddedness of clinical nurses, it is necessary to develop, educate, and utilize specific intervention programs that can strengthen positive psychological capital. Efforts should be needed to prepare specific strategies for nurses to recognize the importance of hope and actively utilize positive psychological capital. In addition, it is necessary to create an organization-level working environment and continuous management to reduce the job stress of clinical nurses.

A meta-analysis of parental factors on psychological & social maladjustment of school-aged children (부모요인이 학령기 아동의 심리·사회적 부적응에 미치는 영향에 대한 메타분석)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to conduct a meta analysis of the previous studies on parental factors related to psychological and social maladjustment of school children and to examine the moderate effects of publication year using the meta-regression analysis. Method: Subjects of studies was academic journals and thesis published on 1996-Feb. 2016. Final result of selection was 353(122 journal articles, 231 master's thesis & dissertations) and total number of sampling was 126,776 school children. Results: Parental factors had medium effect sizes on psychological and social maladjustment of school children. Parental risk factors had bigger effect size than protective factors on children's maladjustment. There were a tendency that effect size of some parental factors were increased as publish year went by. Conclusions: Attachment, positive communication, and positive marital relationship were major protective factors which had reduced maladjustment of children. Psychological control and negative marital relationship were the strongest risk factors. The impact on parental factors on maladjustment of children were getting stronger recently.

The Influence of Violent Experiences and Positive Psychological Capital on Burnout of Psychiatric Ward Nurses (정신과 병동 간호사의 폭력경험과 긍정심리자본이 소진에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships among violent experiences, positive psychological capital, and burnout, as well as to clarify the factors that affect psychiatric ward nurses' burnout. Methods: A descriptive research design was used. Participants were 213 psychiatric ward nurses recruited from twelve psychiatric hospitals. A structured self-report questionnaire was used to measure the study variables, and data were analyzed with the SPSS 24.0 program using descriptive statistics, an independent t-test, a one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression analyses. Results: Burnout positively correlated with violent experiences (r=.14, p=.041), but negatively correlated with positive psychological capital (r=-.73, p<.001). Positive psychological capital was a significant variable for the burnout of psychiatric ward nurses (${\beta}=-.71$, p<.001). Conclusions: The study findings indicate a need to reinforce positive psychological capital for preventing and alleviating burnout of psychiatric ward nurses.

  • The kindergarten teachers play a role in closely babysitting infants, teachers' high empathy helps respect infants' emotions and opinions, and leads to positive relationships, ultimately improving their job satisfaction and confidence, but lack specific research results. As a result, this study sought to find out how the empathy of kindergarten teachers affects job stress through positive psychological capital, and to find ways to increase positive psychological capital and empathy. To achieve this, the research method identified the causal relationship of each variable based on the results of the survey of 212 kindergarten teachers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. According to the study, first, among the empathy abilities of kindergarten teachers, emotional empathy has a positive impact on all factors of positive psychological capital. Second, cognitive empathy among empathy abilities has a positive impact on all factors of positive psychological capital. Third, looking at the overall positive psychological capital of kindergarten teachers and the effects of job stress showed that it negatively affects self-efficacy and resilience.

The Cosmetics Consumption Behavior Related to Aesthetic Consciousness in Post-80s, 90s Generation in Xi'an (시안의 80후, 90후 세대 여성의 미의식에 따른 화장행동 연구)

  • For a further understanding of the Chinese consumer, this study investigated 1) the effects of aesthetic consciousness on make-up attitude, and 2) the differences in the effect of aesthetics consciousness on make-up attitude among age groups. An online survey was conducted on female consumers belonging to the post-80s and 90s generations, living in Xian China. SPSS 24.0 and Amos 18.0 was used for data analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis for the research variables were performed and three factors of aesthetic consciousness (social relations consideration, internal consideration, and external consideration), and four factors of make-up attitude (psychological pleasure, self-satisfaction, consciousness of others, and tool of transformation) were identified. The results from the model test were : 1) aesthetics consciousness was found to vary depending on make-up attitude. Social relations consideration had a positive effects on psychological pleasure, self-satisfaction, and tool of transformation. Internal consideration had a positive effect on self-satisfaction and tool of transformation, and a negative effect on psychological pleasure. External consideration had positive effects on all four factors of make-up attitude. 2) In the post-80s participants, social relations consideration and external consideration had positive effects on all four factors of make-up attitude. Internal consideration s had a negative effect on consciousness of others and a positive effect on tool of transformation. In the post-90s participants, social relations consideration had positive effects on psychological pleasure, self-satisfaction, and tool of transformation. Internal consideration had positive effects on psychological pleasure and self-satisfaction.
