  • This study explores the effect of moral identity on attitude toward and purchase intention of upcycled fashion products by comparing purchasers and non-purchasers. Data from 127 purchasers and 307 non-purchasers collected through a survey was analyzed using descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, model invariance check, and multiple-group comparison tests using Amos 23.0. Results indicate consumers with purchase experiences of upcycled fashion products showed a higher level of moral identity (internalization and symbolization), positive attitude toward upcycled fashion products, and purchase intention than did consumers with no purchase experience. In model tests, internalization affected attitude toward purchasing upcycled fashion products, whereas symbolization affected purchase intention, regardless of purchase experience. The effect of symbolization on purchase intention was consistent with prior studies focusing on charity behaviors that are highly visible to others. These findings demonstrate that fashion products are visible and symbolic, so it should be carefully considered in ethical consumption studies. From these results, researchers may obtain insights on the process of how consumers apply moral identity to their purchase intention regarding upcycled fashion products. Likewise, marketers may enhance satisfaction of consumers with a high level of symbolization by putting special tags and logos that clearly highlight the products' upcycled nature.

  • It seems to be difficult to bridge between human and nature. All depictions of nature are not necessarily reflections of reality. Thoughts are projected into nature, then nature will reflect us. The world is composed of natural and cultural environment. There are differences between depiction of nature based on correspondence and construction of world. Environmental aesthetics is an emerging field of study that focuses on nature's aesthetic value as well as on its ethical and environmental implications. Allen Carlson, a pioneer in environmental aesthetics, provides challenges as well as a wealth of resources for those who would appropriate his ideas in the service of environmental protection. Carlson's positive aesthetics, his focus on the functionality of human environments, and his integration of aesthetics and ethics have great import for those seeking to use aesthetics to assist in addressing environmental controversies. Environmental ethics would benefit from taking environmental aesthetics more seriously. Environmental aesthetics is an emerging discipline that explores the meaning and influence of environmental perception and experience on human life. Arguing for the idea that environment is not merely a setting for people but fully integrated and continuous with us, Arnold Berleant explores the aesthetic dimensions of the human-environment continuum in both theoretical terms and concrete situations. Aesthetic experience is always contextual. The aesthetic aspect of any human habitat is an essential part of its desirability. The aesthetic perception of environment shows us the reciprocity that constitutes both person and place. The genuine beauty lies in the coexistence and harmony with natural environment.

  • This study investigates the gender differences in determinants of customers' satisfaction when purchasing online beauty and cosmetics products in Vietnamese market. To do so, we construct a data set via online survey of 419 Vietnamese customers including both males and females, and examine such sample using t-tests and multiple regressions. Our regression model is constructed based on our five-construct model including online shopping experience, customer service, external incentives, security and privacy, and personal characteristics. The t-tests results reveal that the mean difference of customer satisfaction (negative coefficient) between the two groups of customers (females and males) is statistically significant. This suggests that the purchasing satisfaction of male customers is significantly higher than that of their female counterparts. Similarly, we also find that male customers are more satisfied with their online shopping experience, customer service and external incentives offered by the online sellers than female peers. Furthermore, regression results for full sample show that, on average, the online shopping experience, customer service and external incentives are significantly and positively related to customer satisfaction. Yet, such positive effect of customer service on customer satisfaction is more likely for males while females' satisfaction is more positively influenced by security and privacy.

  • Purpose: This study was don(B to describe research-related activities and attitudes toward research, barriers to and support needs for undertaking research in clinical nurses. Method: Data were collected by a questionnaire from 238 clinical nurses with over one year clinical experience working at 2 university hospitals. Results: Research related activities included courses or lecture about Nursing Research 85.7%, journal reading at least once every 2 to 3 months 30.0%, memberships in academic societies 29.4%, participation in academic conferences 45.0%, conducting research 45.4%, research utilization 24.6%. The score for attitudes toward research was 3.08(range 1-5). The score of barriers to undertaking research was 3.37(1-5) and the score for support needs for undertaking research 4.14(1-5). Attitudes toward research significantly correlated with barriers to undertaking research(r=.- 36, p=.000). Barriers to undertaking research significantly correlated with support needs for conducting research(r=.23, p=.000). Nurses with experience in conducting research had more negative attitudes toward research(t=-2.130, p=0.034) and more barriers to undertaking research than those without experience in conducting research (t=2.194, p=0.029). Conclusion: These results suggest that it is necessary to increase positive attitudes toward research in clinical nurses and nursing organizations need to provide strong supports for nurses conducting research.

Methods: A total of 12 nurses were interviewed regarding their own experience in CM practice. Data were recorded and analyzed using grounded theory. Results: Empowerment was the core category of CM for Medical Aid enrollees. The case managers engaged in five phases as follows, phase of inquiring in advance, building a relationship with the client, giving the client critical mind, facilitating positive changes in the client's use of healthcare services, and maintaining relationship bonds. These phases moved gradually and were circular if necessary. Also, they were accelerated or slowed depending on factors including clients' characteristics, case managers' competency level, families' support level, and availability of community resources. Conclusion: This study helps understand what CM practice is and how nurses are performing this innovative CM role. It is recommended that nurse leaders and policy makers integrate empowerment as a core category and the five critical CM phases into future CM programs.

They operated the program by acting as instructors for more than 12 months. Results: The basic socio-psychological problems hared by the participants of the research is 'burden'. The basic social process required to solve the problem is 'self-realization' which has been successively shown in the order of the stage of experiencing a surge of will, the stage of recognizing the occurrence of internal and external changes, the stage of being confident, and the stage of obtaining self-respect. Throughout the process, the participants solved 'burden' in a positive way through reflections and reciprocity, developing and strengthening their capabilities. Conclusion: Based on the results, it is necessary to consider the development of a service-learning program in connection with the nursing major in order to provide the students studying nursing with the opportunity to have various learning experiences.
