Development, Reliability and Factor Structure of a Korean Perceived Restorativeness Scale Using Forest Users

  • The Korean version of Perceived Restorativeness Scale was administered to 150 SanEum Recreational Forest visitors to investigate it's psychometric properties. Factor analysis revealed that the scale consists primarily of four factors related to compatibility, preference, being away and coherence. The internal consistency of the scale was positive. Based on these tests, it appears that the scale is a sound measure of restorativeness or psychological health benefits from forest experience.

Study on the Development of Tools for Measurement of Consumers' Brand Experience Inside and Outside a Fashion Brand Store at a Large Shopping Center (소비자의 대형 쇼핑센터 내 패션브랜드 매장 내·외부에서의 브랜드 체험 측정도구 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This quantitative study helps develop a measurement tool for consumer experiences inside and outside of a fashion brand store in a large shopping center along with a previous qualitative study that utilized a consumer interview. An expert group interview was conducted to verify the result of the previous qualitative study. Subjects were selected through convenient sampling. A self-administered questionnaire was developed to collect the data. We used 666 questionnaires for data analysis. To analyze data, reliability analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis and measurement equivalence verification were conducted with a statistical package of SPSS 21.0 and Amos 18.0. We used 27 questions in 8 factors for consumer experience inside of the fashion brand store: fashion product, VMD, salesperson responsiveness, salesperson specialty, salesperson's special treatment, salesperson's respect for customers, and positive/negative emotion. We used 27 questions concerning seven factors for the consumer experience outside of a fashion brand store that encompasses a large shopping center: experience with brand and product category diversity, experience with promotion and event, esthetic experience, experience with culture and entertainment, experience with recreational behavior, experience with reputation and sense of pride, and experience with customers.

A Case Study on the Costume Culture of the Head Family for Adolescent′s Spot Experience Studying (청소년의 종가 생활문화 현장학습프로그램 개발을 위한 종가 복식문화 사례 연구 -전남 함평 종가를 대상으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the cases of the family head's costume culture and to apply them to field experience education of adolescent's home economics subject. To examine the family head's costume culture, women in the family head in the Hampyeong area, Jeollanam-do were selected and interviewed. The focus of examining the family head's costume culture was on the life story of the family head, the reason to wear or possess such costume, and a motive of making. The findings of the head family's costume culture suggests that the head family of the Mos of Hampyeong had unique shroud making and custom. Also it was found that the eldest daughters-in-law of the Lees of Hampyeong have horizontally exchanged the information of the family head's costume with village women of the same family. They have initiated their costume culture directly through their daughters and it had the great influence on after-ages. The learning program for youth to experience the head family's costume culture consisted of four subjects:(l)Educating the family head's traditional living culture including etiquette training, (2)head family village walk, (3)experiencing the family head's clothes life including natural dyeing and sewing, and (4)a field trip of Hampyeong Local Life Culture Museum. For a model experience of the family head's costume life culture, three families with middle and high schoolers participated in 8- hour experience learning program. To examine the effect of learning program to experience the family head's costume culture, youth and their parents who participated in the program were asked open-ended questions, which included the content validity of experience learning, impressive experience, model experience level(difficulty), and expected effect after a model experience. As a result, their responses were found positive.

A Study on the Experience of the Daughters-in-law's Relationship with Mothers-in-law (며느리들의 시어머니와의 관계 경험에 관한 연구)

  • Many studies on the relationships between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law tended to regard the relationship as a conflicting one. This study, unlike the previous ones, aimed to explore the relationship as it is and to describe the experience of the real relationship. Another aim of this study, on the basis of the results, was to provide the basic data for social services to develop and maintain the positive relationships between mothers and daughters-in-law. To achieve these aims, the central question of the study was, "What are the daughters-in-law's experiences with their mothers-in-law like?" The participants for the study consisted of 12 daughters-in-law who volunteered to be interviewed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed according to the grounded theory presented by Strauss and Corbin. As a result, 154 concepts and 42 sub-categories were induced, and finally 18 categories were induced in the course of classifying and integrating these sub-categories. This study discovered that the relationship might be both positive and negative, and that it might even be possible to change from one to the other. The results of the study showed that many factors influenced the quality of the relationship, and that the husband's role was one of the most important factors. Using this study's results as guidance, general programs designed to cultivate more positive relationships between mothers and daughters-in-law can be created and implemented; additionally programs that help the husbands understand the complex relationship and roles can be devised.

The Effects of Maltreatment By Parents On Teenagers' Depression: Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Social Withdrawal and Cell Phone Dependency (부모로부터의 학대피해경험이 청소년의 우울에 미치는 영향 -사회적 위축과 휴대폰 의존도의 매개효과-)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the impact of maltreatment by parents on adolescents' depression, furthermore, confirm the mediating effects of social withdrawal and cell phone dependency in South Korea. The data were analyzed with frequency, correlation and structural equation modeling(SEM) by SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 20.0. Data was employed from the wave 5 in 2014 of Korean Children and Youth Panel Study (KCYPS), and analyzed data of 1,969 fourth grade elementary school students. The result showed: First, maltreatment experience from parents has a statistically significant positive effect on adolescent's depression. Second, maltreatment experience from parents has positive effects on both social withdrawal and mobile phone dependency. Third, both social withdrawal and mobile phone dependency have positive effects on adolescent's depression. Fourth, both social withdrawal and mobile phone dependency have significant mediating roles in the relationship between maltreatment experience from parents and adolescent's depression.

A Small-and-medium-sized Hospital's Crisis Management during 2015 MERS Outbreak: A Case of G Hospital (중소병원의 2015 MERS 위기 대응: G병원의 사례)

  • Purpose: Crisis is inevitable to every organization and therefore, successful crisis management is critical to the organizations' survival and prosperity. With the understanding, this study aims to draw propositions for successful crisis management of hospitals when facing infectious disease outbreak. For the purpose, a case of a small and medium sized hospital's experience of crisis management during 2015 Middle East Respiratory Syndrome outbreak was analyzed. Methodology/Approach: The detailed internal circumstances and experiences of the hospital during the MERS outbreak were identified by in-depth interview as well as the extensive material review, and analyzed under the view of the theories of accident, error, and crisis in relation of organization management Findings: Overall, nine propositions are drawn by the phase of crisis. In pre-crisis phase, for example, 'the hospital preparedness has positive influence on the effective responding to the crisis'. In detection phase, 'the mindfulness of the hospital organizations' as well as the individuals' has positive influence on detecting the crisis signals'. In crisis phase, for example, 'improvising naturally occurs in crisis by the unknown disease, therefore, a component site supervisor coordinating such improvision is important'. Lastly, in post-crisis phase, 'successful crisis responding experience facilitates the positive hospital culture'. Practical implication: From the experience of a small and medium size hospital, it is suggested that proactive system approach oriented by safety is beneficial for effective crisis management.

Influence of Spiritual Experience on Church Commitment: Moderating Effect of Church Interpersonal Trust (교인들의 영적경험이 교회 헌신도에 미치는 영향: 교회 대인신뢰의 조절효과)

  • This study examined the moderating effect which the interpersonal trust between christians has on the daily spiritual experiences and church commitments of christians. This study was conducted on 400 Christians - 193 men (48.3%) and 207 women (51.7%). The SPSS 25.0 program and PROCESS Procedure for SPSS version 3.5 (Model 1) were used for data analysis and for verifying the hypothesis. the results of the study showed: First, the daily spiritual experience of Christians had a significant positive effect on church commitment. Second, the interpersonal trust between christians had a significant positive effect on church commitment among Christians. Third, the interpersonal trust between christians had a significant positive effect on daily spiritual experiences and on church commitment. Hence, based on the above conclusions the role and importance of trustworthy relationships in the church as well as personal beliefs were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to define the concept of value-added services on online music platforms, put forward a model of users' willingness to use value-added services on online music platforms, and explore the way its influencing factors affect users' willingness to use. This study is based on the stimulus-response model, combined with the characteristics of online music service platforms, using information value, social value, and entertainment value as independent variables, using flow experience as a mediating variable, and self-awareness as a moderator variable, and then researches on the use of users. influence of will. Empirical analysis was carried out in this study using SPSS and AMOS statistical analysis tools. It is verified that the value-added services of online music platforms have a positive and positive impact on consumers' flow experience and usage intention. This research can fill in the theoretical defects of online music platform service, which has positive and important significance for music platform operators to improve their service capabilities and improve their income.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of product characteristics, purchase transactions and logistics characteristics on purchase behavior and satisfaction in the omnichannel, focusing on clothing products. A survey was conducted on consumers with experience in purchasing clothing products, and research problems were analyzed through structural equations, focusing on the hypotheses established in this study. As a result of the study, in the case of consumers with experience in internet shopping, product factors such as aesthetic, diversity, price and purchase transaction factors had a positive (+) effect on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction had a positive (+) effect on consumer purchasing behavior. In the case of consumers with omnichannel experience, price among product factors had a positive (+) effect on customer satisfaction. Based on this, it is expected that factors that can activate omni-channels that were not previously discussed can be derived and implications can be provided.

The effects of verbal violence on stress among dental hygienists and mediating effects of positive psychological capital (언어폭력이 치과위생사의 스트레스에 미치는 영향과 긍정심리자본의 매개)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effects of verbal violence experience on stress and positive psychological capital as well as the mediating effects of positive psychological capital. Methods: A survey was conducted with dental hygienists working at university hospitals, general hospitals, and dental hospitals and clinics in Busan, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan areas.Of the 230 questionnaires distributed, 206 were used in the analysis after excluding 24 completed questionnaires that had errors or missing answers. Results: As a result of identifying the relationships between verbal violence damage, positive psychological capital, and stress, verbal violence damage was negatively correlated with positive psychological capital (r=-0.28, p<0.001) and positively correlated with stress (r=0.40, p<0.001). Positive psychological capital had a negative correlation with stress (r=-0.25, p<0.001). As a result of verifying the mediating effects of positive psychological capital on the relationship between verbal violence damage and stress among dental hygienists, it was found that verbal violence had a significant effect on stress and positive psychological capital in the first and second stages. In the third stage, the effect of positive psychological capital on stress was significant, showing that there was a mediating effect. Conclusions: Therefore, sound work environments should aim to reduce verbal violence while increasing support systems to reduce negative emotional and psychological states.
