Jammer Identification Technique based on a Template Matching Method

  • GNSS has the disadvantage of being vulnerable to jamming, and thus, the necessity of jamming countermeasure techniques has gradually increased. Jamming countermeasure techniques can be divided into an anti-jamming technique and a jammer localization technique. Depending on the type of a jammer, applicable techniques and performance vary significantly. Using an appropriate jamming countermeasure technique, the effect of jamming on a GNSS receiver can be attenuated, and prompt action is enabled when estimating the location of a jammer. However, if an inappropriate jamming countermeasure technique is used, a GNSS receiver may not operate in the worst case. Therefore, jammer identification is a technique that is essential for proper action. In this study, a technique that identifies a jammer based on template matching was proposed. For template matching, analysis of a received jamming signal is required; and the signal analysis was performed using a spectral correlation function. Based on a simulation, it was shown that the proposed identification of jamming signals was possible at various JNR.

Accurate Corner Detection using 4-directional Edge Labeling and Corner Positioning Templates

  • Corner positioning templates are proposed in order to detect the accurate positions of corners that are extracted using 4-directional edge labeling. Top-down and bottom-up directional labeling are used to label the edge segments with four kinds of labels according to their directions. The points whose labels have changed are then determined as corners. The exact positions of the missing corners due to the disconnected edges are detected through the corner positioning templates that are determined according to the labels of start-points and end-points after the two-pass edge labeling. Experiment results show that the proposed method can detect the exact positions of the real corners.

센서 융합 기반 정밀 측위를 위한 노면 표시 검출 (Road Surface Marking Detection for Sensor Fusion-based Positioning System)

  • This paper presents camera-based road surface marking detection methods suited to sensor fusion-based positioning system that consists of low-cost GPS (Global Positioning System), INS (Inertial Navigation System), EDM (Extended Digital Map), and vision system. The proposed vision system consists of two parts: lane marking detection and RSM (Road Surface Marking) detection. The lane marking detection provides ROIs (Region of Interest) that are highly likely to contain RSM. The RSM detection generates candidates in the regions and classifies their types. The proposed system focuses on detecting RSM without false detections and performing real time operation. In order to ensure real time operation, the gating varies for lane marking detection and changes detection methods according to the FSM (Finite State Machine) about the driving situation. Also, a single template matching is used to extract features for both lane marking detection and RSM detection, and it is efficiently implemented by horizontal integral image. Further, multiple step verification is performed to minimize false detections.

CATIA API를 활용한 프레스금형 트림스틸 설계 자동화 S/W 모듈 개발 (Development of A Software Tool for Automatic Trim Steel Design of Press Die Using CATIA API)

  • 본 논문은 자동차 프레스 절단 금형의 설계 자동화를 위한 설계 지원 툴 개발에 관한 연구을 다룬다. 현업에서 진행하는 자동차 패널 절단 공정 금형설계 프로세스를 분석하고 패턴을 가지는 반복 작업들을 그룹화 하여 자동화 모듈을 개발하였다. 제안하는 시스템은 절단금형 스틸파트를 자동 생성하는 템플릿 모델과 자동 생성된 절단금형 스틸파트를 자동 배치하는 UI 기능의 두 가지 모듈로 구성 하였다. 템플릿 모델은 트림스틸 설계에 활용되는 유형들을 고려하여 4가지 종류로 개발하였으며, 자동생성시 오류발생을 제로화 하기 위해 벡터 내적과 외적을 활용하여 설계기준이 되는 점, 선, 곡선, 면, 곡면의 방향을 체크 하고 바로잡는 방향성 제어 관계식 룰을 구현 하였다. 개발한 시스템을 대표 상용 CAD시스템 중 하나인 CATIA V5의 확장 메뉴형태로 탑재하기 위하여 CATIA Knowledgeware, CATIA SDK, Visual C++를 사용하여 개발하였다. 제안하는 시스템을 다양한 자동차 외관 패널에 적용한 결과 전통적인 방법에 비해 약 74%의 시간감축 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Accuracy Improvement of Stereo-Based Distance Measurement for Close Range Vessel Positioning

  • This paper describes a distance measurement system with high accuracy that utilizes a stereo-based camera and a pan-tilt unit for automatically maintaining the positional relationship between a vessel and a target on the side of a facility at a close range. The measurement system offers an advantage in that it can measure the distance to a target while tracking it. In order to improve the ability to control the position of a vessel between it and a target while maintaining the distance especially at a close range, the accuracy of the measurement system has to be improved. The accuracy of the distance measured by our system is increased with revisions of the conclusively generated data of distance measurement. We verified the accuracy of our system from an experiment, which generated results that had an accuracy of 30 mm for distances in the range between 2-8 m.

  • Indirect bonding is done by placing the brackets on a model in the laboratory and using a template or tray to transfer the laboratory positioning to the teeth. The advantages of this technique are 1. decreased chair time 2. less patient discomfort 3. accuracy of a attachment placement 4. good adaptation of attachment to tooth contour 5. occlusal relationship of brackets and opposing teeth can be checked The disadvantages of the technique are 1. complex laboratory procedure 2. sometimes difficult on very short clinical crowns 3. teeth with crowns, large buccal restoration will not bond 4. may not be fitted close, if poor adaptation 5. likely to be disturbed setting Several indirect bonding techniques have proved reliable in clinical practice. However, they differ in the way the brackets are attached temporarily to the model, the type of transfer tray or other mechanism used, the adhesive or sealant employed, whether segmented or full bonding used, and the way the transfer is removed so as not to exert excessive force on a still maturing bond.

  • Optical camera communication (OCC) is an extension of Visible Light Communication. Different from traditional visible light communication, optical camera communications is an almost no additional cost technology by taking the advantage of build-in camera in devices. It was became a candidate for communication protocol for IoT. Camera module can be easy attached to IoT device, because it is small and flexible. Furthermore almost smartphone equip one or two camera for both back and font side with high quality and resolution. It can be utilized for receiving the data from LED or positioning. Actually, OCC combines illumination and communication. It can supply communication for special areas or environment where do not allow Radio frequency such as hospital, airplane etc. There are many concept and experiment be proposed. In this paper we proposed utilizing Android smart-phone camera for receiver and introduce new approach in modulation scheme for LED at transmitter. It also show how Manchester coding can be used encode bits while at the same time being successfully decoded by Android smart-phone camera. We introduce new data frame format for easy decoded and can be achieve high bit rate. This format can be easy to adapt to performance limit of Android operator or embedded system.

축구 경기 분석 I : 영상 모자익을 통한 축구 선수의 운동장 궤적 추출 (Soccer Game Analysis I : Extraction of Soccer Players' ground traces using Image Mosaic)

  • 본 논문에서는 축구 경기 자동 분석을 위한 첫걸음으로 일반적인 축구 경기 영상열에서 선수 및 공을 추적하고 영상 모자의 기법을 이용해서 운동장 모델 상에서 선수가 움직인 궤적을 알아내는 기법을 제시한다. 여기서 일반걱인 축구 경기 영상열이란 극도의 zoom-in 또는 zoom-out 아닌 경우로 TV 카메라가 공을 쫓아 자연스럽게 움직이는 상황의 영상을 말한다. 이러한 영상열로부터 선수의 궤적을 구하기 위해선 다음과 같이 크게 세 가지 문제를 해결해야한다. 첫째로 입력 영상에서 운동장 부분을 추출하는 문제, 둘째로 선수 및 공을 추적하고 선수들의 팀을 구분하는 문제, 마지막으로 영상에서의 선수의 위치를 실제 운동장 좌표로의 변환을 통해 선수가 움직인 자취를 운동장 모델 상에서 구하는 문제가 그것이다. 운동장의 추출은 칼라 정보를 이용하였고 이 추출된 운동장 영역 하에서 템플릿 매칭과 Kalman 필터링을 이용하여 선수와 공을 추적했다. 선수간 겹침 문제에 대해서는 CHBP(Color Histogram Back-Projection) 기법을 적용했다. 특히 선수가 운동장에서 움직인 궤적을 구하기 구하기 위해서 입력 영상에서 보이는 특징점들을 이용하여 운동장 모델 좌표와 입력 영상 좌표간의 변환을 구하고 이를 통해 운동장 모델에서의 선수의 위치를 구했다. 이때에 입력 영상에서 특징점이 충분치 않을 경우 영상 모자익 기법을 이용하여 특징점이 보이는 영상과의 좌표 변환 관계를 구함으로써 해결하였다. 실험적으로 실제 TV에서 방영된 축구 경기 영상열에 제안된 방법을 적용하여 얻어진 결과를 보인다.
