This paper presents a position error recognition system when the wafer is mounted in cleaning equipment among the wafer manufacturing processes. The proposed system is to enhance the performance in cost and reliability by preventing the wafer cleaning system from damaging by alerting it when it is put in correct position. The key algorithms are the calibration method between image acquired from camera and physical wafer, a infrared lighting and the design of the filter, and the extraction of wafer boundary and the position error recognition resulting from generation of circle based on least square method. The system is to install in-line process using high reliable and high accurate position recognition. The experimental results show that the performance is good in detecting errors within tolerance.
Purpose: This study aims to establish the effect of pinhole position errors in the planet carrier of a planetary gear set (PGS) on load sharing among the planet gears in the hydromechanical transmission (HMT) system of an agricultural tractor. Methods: A simulation model of a PGS with five planet gears was developed to analyze load sharing among the planet gears. The simulation model was verified by comparing i ts r esults w ith those of a model developed in a previous s tudy. The verified simulation model was used to analyze the load-sharing characteristics of the planet gears with respect to the pinhole position error and the input torque to the PGS. Results: Both simulation models had identical load magnitude sequences for the five planet gears. However, the load magnitudes on the corresponding planet gears differed between the models because of the different stiffnesses of the PGS components and the input torques to the PGS. The verified simulation model demonstrated that the evenness of load sharing among the planet gears increases with decreasing pinhole position error and increasing input torque. Conclusions: The geometrical tolerance of the pinhole position should be properly considered during the design of the planet carrier to improve the service life of the PGS and load sharing among the planet gears.

In order to evaluate the relative significance of tolerance management of various elements in a VHS VTR tape transport system, the effect of geometric variations of the elements from standard design values on the tape traveling path is studied. The tape is modeled as a string and each element in the tape transport system is modeled as a cylinder whose radius, position vector and orientation vector are specified. An numerical algorithm is proposed to find the coordinates of tape entry points and tape exit points for the elements from which the tape traveling path can be completely described. By using the suggested algorithm, an error sensitivity analysis of tape traveling path due to the geometric variations of tape transport elements is performed for a particular model in the market and the elements demanding relatively strict tolerance management are identified.
We analyze aberrations in an optical laser printer system in order to know how to determine an allowable non-uniformity of the movement of a light spot, how to determine allowed variation of spot sizes, and how to minimize the influence of these deviations on technological errors. In this paper, the correction and the tolerance of distortion are analyzed by using the concept of zonal and global distortions. The tolerance of field curvature is also obtained from Gaussian beam properties. In order to reduce the change of the entrance pupil position and to make a more compact laser printer system the minimum size of the rotator is exactly derived from the geometry with the introduction of the shift angle of the input beam.

It is well known that the five-axis machining has advantages of tool accessibility and machined surface quality when compared with conventional three-axis machining. Traditional researches on the five-axis tool-path generation have addressed interferences such as cutter gouging, collision, machine kinematics and optimization of a CL(cutter location) or a cutter position. In the paper it is presented that optimal CL data for a face-milling cutter moving on a tool-path are obtained by incorporating TSS(tool swept surface) model. The TSS model from current CL position to the next CL position is constructed based on machine kinematics as well as cutter geometry, with which the deviation from the design surface can be computed. Then the next CC(cutter-contact) point should be adjusted such that the deviation conforms to given machining tolerance value. The proposed algorithm was implemented and applied to a marine propeller machining, which proved effective from a quantitative point of view. In addition, the algorithm using the TSS can also be applied to avoid cutter convex interferences in general three-axis NC machining.
This paper presents a position error recognition system when the wafer is mounted in cleaning equipment among the wafer manufacturing processes. The proposed system is to enhance the performance in cost and reliability by preventing the wafer cleaning system from damaging by alerting it when it is put in correct position. The proposed algorithm is in obtaining a mapping function from camera and physical wafer by designing and manufacturing the radial shape calibrator to reduce the error by using the conventional chess board one. The system is to install in-line process using high reliable and high accurate position recognition. The experimental results show that the performance of the proposed system is better than that of the existing method for detecting errors within tolerance.
Many oxidative metabolites of tetrahydrocannabinols (THCs), active components of marijuana, were pharmacologically active, and 11-hydroxy-THCs, 11-oxo-${\Delta}^8$-THC, 7-oxo-${\Delta}^8$-THC, 8$\beta$, 9$\beta$-epoxyhexahydrocannabinol (EHHC), 9$\alpha$, l0$\alpha$-EHHC and 3'-hydroxy-${\Delta}^9$-THC were more active than THC in pharmacological effects such as catalepsy, hypothermia and barbiturate synergism in mice. Cannabidiol (CBD), another major component, was biotransfomred to two novel metabolites, 6-hydroxymethyl-${\Delta}^9$-THC and 3-pentyl-6, 7, 7a, 8, 9, lla-hexahydro-I, 7-dihydroxy-7, 1O-dimethyldibenzo[b, d]oxepin (PHDO) through 8R, 9-epoxy-CBD and 85, 9-epoxy-CBD, respectively. Both metabolites exhibited some pharmacological effects comparable to d9 - THe. Cannabinol (CBN), the other major component, was mainly metabolized to ll-hydroxy-CBN by hepatic microsomes of animals including humans. The pharmacological effects of the metabolite were higher than those of CBN demonstrating that II-hydroxylation of CBN is metabolic activation pathway of the cannabinoid as is the case in THCs. Tolerance and reciprocal cross-tolerance developed to pharmacological effects d8 - THC and ll-hydroxy-d8-THC , and the magnitude of tolerance development produced by the metabolite was significantly higher than that by d8-THC. The results indicate that ll-hydroxy-d8-THC has an important role not only in the pharmacological effects but also its tolerance development of d8 - THe. THCs and their metabolites competed to the specific binding of CP-55, 940, an agonist of cannabinoid receptor, to synaptic membrane from bovine cerebral cortex. The Ki value of THCs and their metabolites were closely paralleled to their pharmacological effects in mice. A novel cytochrome P450 (cyp2c29) was purified and identified as a major enzyme responsible for the metabolic activation of d8-THC at the II-position in the mouse liver. cDNA of CYP2C29 was cloned from a mouse cDNA library and its sequence was determined. The oxidation mechanism of THC by cyp2c29 was proposed.

Low-temperature stress is an important factor controlling the growth and development of rice (Oryza sativa L.) in temperate region. In this study, a molecular linkage map consisting of 136 SSR markers was employed to identify QTL associated with cold tolerance at the seedling stage. 80 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) from an intersubspecific cross between Milyang23 (O. sativa ssp. Indica) and Hapcheonaengmi3, a japonica weedy rice and the parents were evaluated for leaf discoloration and SAPD value of seedlings. Rice plants were grown for 15 days in the low-temperature condition (13/20℃ day/night) and the control condition (25/20℃ day/night) in the growth chamber. The degree of leaf discoloration showed a highly significant correlation with the SPAD value in the low-temperature plot (r = -0.708, P < 0.0001). A total of four QTLs for SPAD were identified and the phenotypic variance explained by each QTL ranged from 5.4 to 16.0%. Two QTLs detected in the control condition were located on chromosomes 2 and 5, respectively. Two QTL on chromosomes 1 and 4 were detected at the low-temperature condition and Hapcheonaengmi3 alleles increased the SPAD values at these loci. Substitution mapping was conducted to delimit the position of qSPA-4 using introgression lines derived from the same cross. Results indicated that qSPA-4 was located in a 810-Kb region flanked by RM16333 and RM16368. The results indicated that Hapcheonaengmi3 contains QTL alleles that are likely to improve cold tolerance of Indica rice.
Automatic FPC punching instrument for the improvement of working condition and cost saving is introduced in this paper. FPC(flexible printed circuit) is used to detect the contact position of K/B and button like a cellular phone. Depending on the quality of the printed ink and position of reference punching point to the FPC, the resistance and current are varied to the malfunctioning values. The size of reference punching point is 2mm and the above. Because the punching operation is done manually, the accuracy of the punching degree is varied with operator's condition. Recently, The punching accuracy has deteriorated severely to the 2mm punching reference hall so that assembly of the K/B has hardly done. To improve this manual punching operation to the FPC, automatic FPC punching system is introduced. Precise mechanical parts like a 5-step stepping motor and ball screw mechanism are designed and tested and low cost PC camera is used for the sake of cost down instead of using high quality vision systems for the FA. 3D Mechanical design tool(Pro/E) is used to manage the exact tolerance circumstances and avoid design failures. Simulation is performed to make the complete vision based punching machine before assembly, and this procedure led to the manufacturing cost saving. As the image processing algorithms, dilation, erosion, and threshold calculation is applied to obtain an exact center position from the FPC print marks. These image processing algorithms made the original images having various noises have clean binary pixels which is easy to calculate the center position of print marks. Moment and Least square method are used to calculate the center position of objects. In this development circumstance, Moment method was superior to the Least square one at the calculation of speed and against noise. Main control panel is programmed by Visual C++ and graphical Active X for the whole management of vision based automatic punching machine. Operating modes like manual, calibration, and automatic mode are added to the main control panel for the compensation of bad FPC print conditions and mechanical tolerance occurring in the case of punch and die reassembly. Test algorithms and programs showed good results to the designed automatic punching system and led to the increase of productivity and huge cost down to law material like FPC by avoiding bad quality.
A dynamic analysis using a hybrid finite element method was performed to characterize the effects of a number of manufacturing errors on bearing forces and critical tooth stress in the elements of a planetary gear system. Some tolerance control guidelines for managing bearing forces and critical stress are deduced from the results. The carrier indexing error for the planet assembly and planet runout error are the most critical factors in reducing the planet bearing force and maximizing load sharing, as well as in reducing the critical stress.
