포도당 산화효소를 고정화한 Polypyrrole 나노튜뷸 효소전극의 포도당 용액 및 당뇨병 혈청에 대한 감응특성 (A Sensing of Glucose Solution and Diabetic Serum using Polypyrrole Nanotubules Enzyme Electrode Immobilized Glucose Oxidase)

  • We synthesized polypyrrole (PPy) nanotubules by oxidative polymerization of the pyrrole monomer on the pore of a polycarbonate membrane. The electrochemical behavior was investigated using cyclic voltammetry and AC impedance. The redox potential was about -0.5 V vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode, while the potential was about 0 V for electro-synthesized PPy film. It is considered as the backbone grows according to the pore wall. Therefore, it is possible to be arranged regularly. That leads to improvement in the electron hopping. The AC impedance plot gave a hint of betterment of mass transport. PPy nanotubules have improved in mass transport, or diffusion. That is because the diffusion occurs through a thin pore wall of PPy nanotubules. The kinetic parameter of PPy nanotubules enzyme electrode with glucose solution was evaluated. The formal Michaelis constant and maximum current calculated by computer were about 23.8 mmol $dm^{-3}$ and $440\;{\mu}A$ respectively. Obviously, an affinity for the substrate and current response of the PPy nanotubules enzyme electrode are rather good, comparing with that of PPy film. What is more, the enzyme electrode is sensitive to blood sugar of a diabetic serum despite an obstruction of ascorbic acid, oxygen, some protein and/or hormone.

Pt-Ru/PPy/Nafion 복합체 전극의 메탄을 산화 특성 (Electrochemical Characteristics on Methanol Oxidation of Pt-Ru/PPy/Nafion Composite Electrode)

  • 본 연구에서는 Pt-Ru 촉매를 $H_2PtCI_6$$RuCl_3$ 용액을 화학적 환원에 의해 전도성 고분자인 폴리피롤을 중합시킨 Nafion 막위에 직접 침적시켰다 EDS 분석 결과 Pt 및 Ru 촉매는 Ppy/Nafion 표면에 주로 분포하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 폴리피롤이 중합된 Nanon 위에 침적시킨 Pt-Ru 촉매의 메탄올에 대한 전기화학적 산화특성을 CV로 평가하였다. 메탄을 산화 개시 전위는 Ru촉매에 사용이 증가함에 따라 음전위 방향으로 전이되었다. 따라서 폴리피롤이 중합된 Nafion표면에 Pt-Ru촉매를 직접 함침할 수 있었고. 메탄올 산화 특성을 나타내는 전극을 제작할 수 있었다.

Improvement in ammonia gas sensing behavior by polypyrrole/multi-walled carbon nanotubes composites

  • Polypyrrole (PPy)/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) composites were prepared by in situ polymerization of pyrrole on the surface of MWCNTs templates to improve the ammonia gas sensing properties. PPy morphologies, formed on the surface of MWCNTs, were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy. The thermal stabilities of the PPy/MWCNTs composites were improved as the content of MWCNTs increased due to the higher thermal stability of the MWCNTs. PPy/MWCNTs composites showed synergistic effects in improving the ammonia gas sensing properties, attributed to the combination of efficient electron transfer between PPy/MWCNTs composites and ammonia gas, and the reproducible electrical resistance variation on PPy during the gas sensing process.

  • 빛에 대한 폴리피롤(PPy)의 광전기화학적인 거동을 $Fe(CN)_6^{4-}/Fe(CN)_6^{3-}$$I^-/I_2$를 산화환원종으로 수용액에서 관찰하였다. PPy은 정전압법으로 Pt와 glassy-C 그리고 ITO에 각각 중합하였으며 PPy막을 입힌 전극에 빛이 쪼여졌을 때 산화환원종의 산화환원 전위에서 전류의 증가를 얻었다. 증가된 전류는 PPy이 갖는 반도체 특성과 빛에 의한 전극표면에서의 산화환원 광열촉진에 기인하며, PPy 중합시 사용한 지지전해질의 음이온(dopants)과 산화환원종, 용액의 pH에 의존하였다.

The electrochemical behavior was investigated using cyclic voltammetry and AC impedance. In the case of using electrolyte p-TS, the redox potential was about -0.3 V vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode, while the potential was about 0 V for using electrolyte KCl. It is considered as the backbone forms a queue effectively by doping p-T S. Therefore, it is possible to be arranged regularly. That leads to improvement in the electron hopping. The AC impedance plot gave a hint of betterment of mass transport. PPy doped with p-TS has improved in mass transport, or diffusion. That is because the PPy doped with p-TS has a good orientation, and is more porous than PPy with KCl.

Electrogravimetric and Electrochemical Ac Response of Polypyrrole Films

  • Ion transport of a polypyrrole/chloride (PPy/Cl) film and a polypyrrole/poly(styenesulfonate) (PPy/PSS) film as a function of applied dc potential was investigated by employing electrogravimetric impedance technique and electrochemical impedance technique. The cation and anion contribution to the whole charge capacitance and the diffusion coefficients of cation and anion in a PPy/PSS film were calculated by fitting the electrogravimetric impedance data with proposed model circuit. The diffusion coefficients of $Na^+$ in a 1 M $NaClO_4$ solution are over 1 order of magnitude larger than those of $ClO{_4}^-$, and $ClO{_4}^-$ contribution to charge compensation decreases as dc potential lowers. The charge compensation of a PPy/Cl film ir a 1 M CsCl solution is carried out largely by $Cl^-$ at 0.2 V vs. Ag/AgCl and by $Cs^+$ as well as $Cl^-$ at -0.4 V.

  • 정전류법으로 다양한 전해용액에서 제조한 Polypyrrole(PPy) 필름의 캐페시턴스 특성을 cyclic voltammetry 기법을 이용하여 조사하였다. 0.5M $LiClO_4/PC(propylene carbonate)/AN(acetonitrile)$ 혼합용액에 $10\%$의 수분을 첨가한 전해질에서 제조한 PPy필름이 가장 큰 401 F/g의 커패시턴스를 나타내었다. 또한 0.5M $LiClO_4\;AN에\;10\%$의 수분을 혼합한 전해질에서 제조한 PPy필름은 2000회의 충방전에서 초기용량의 $70\%$를 나타내었다. 제조된 PPy필름의 케폐시턴스 특성은 사용된 용매에 크게 의존함을 알 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this study is to research and develop polypyrrole(PPy) positive for thin film rechargeable lithium battery. We investigated cyclic voltammetry, AC impedance response and charge/discharge cycling of PPy/SPE/Li cells as a function of temperature. The redox capacity of $PPy/CF_{3}SO_{3}$ film was the most large. The discharge capacity of PPy/SPE/Li cell with $PPy/CF_{3}SO_{3}$ film was higher than those of $PPy/ClO_{4}$ and $PPy/AsF_6$ films at all cycles. The energy density of PPy/SPE/Li cells during 1st cycle was 73, 90 and 101Wh/kg at $25^{\circ}C$, $45^{\circ}C$ and $60^{\circ}C$, respectively. The improvement of energy density is due to reduction of charge-transfer resistance associated doping-undoping process in PPy film with Increasing temperature. $PPy/CF_{3}SO_{3}$ film shows a good property on charge/discharge cycling in PEO-$LiClO_4$-PC-EC electrolyte.
