Application Technologies of Polymer Suspended Insulators for the Electric Track Line (전차 선로용 폴리머 현수애자의 적용 기술)

  • Polymeric suspended insulators for the electric track line have been developed. The main elements to design polymeric insulators are the insulation ability related with materials of FRP core and housing, and the optimal structure related with fitting parts and interface characteristics. To confirm the design fitness of insulator samples the electric field distribution by FEM and mechanical stress distribution by NASTRAN program was analysed with housing shed shapes and fitting structure. The leakage distance and breakage voltage properties which are core parameters to determine electric insulation ability are selected according to the requirement values of user specification, then the power frequency wet withstand voltage was specified above 22kV and the leakage distance was required above 290mm. The contamination condition of the electric track line was the heavy class according to IEC 815 in order to retain the enough safety margin against overvoltages.

  • Radiation technology is an effective way for regulating polymeric materials to physicochemical and mechanical properties. The effect of radiation on mechanical and electrochemical properties of new rubber-like polymeric composite materials based on poly(vinyl ether of ethyleneglycol : PVEEG) have been studied for investigating mechanical and electric property of polymer composites applications.

  • The purpose of this research was to find influence of compounding materials on electrical properties of silicone rubber such as tracking characteristic. The tracking characteristic was tested through controlling the ATH, a widely use anti-tracking agent. Regarding the particle size and coupling agent of ATH, compound silicone rubber with ATH of coupling agent and larger diameter showed better anti-tracking properties. It can be included that ATH of coupling agent use vinyl silane, dispose of tracking characteristic was achieve excellant results.

  • The electric power demand is steadily high. It becomes difficult to secure the land for overhead transmission lines year after year. Downsizing of overhead transmission lines can be most effectively achieved by applying polymer insulation arm. This paper describes the outline of compact overhead transmission lines and the result of mechanical evaluation of FRP for the compact transmission towers. Bending strength of FRP was evaluated according to the fiber orientation because the fiber orientation in FRP has a great effect on the strength of FRP.

  • 우리나라 송전선로의 위치는 국토의 65%에 이른 산지에 대부분 포설되어 있기 때문에 산볼과 같은 화재가 발생시 폴리머 애자에 대한 신뢰성에 중요한 문제점을 발생시킬 수 있다. 따라서 산불의 가장자리 온도인 $600^{\circ}C$ 부근에 노출된 폴리머 애자의 재질에 대한 특성 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 애자의 표면은 무기물이 노출되어 다공성의 특성을 보였고, 내아크시험 결과는 하부 갓의 아크소멸 시간은 A시료는 260초, 290초였고, B시료는 335초, 336초였다. 그리고 접촉각 측정결과는 첫 번째 갓의 하부부분이 상부에 비하여 $3^{\circ}$정도 높게 나타났다.

  • We have studied commercialization and process optimization of protective film on transparent conductive coated substrate, nano silver on flexible PET (poly ethylene terephthalate), by means of roll-to-roll micro-gravure coater. Nanosilver on flexible PET substrate is potential materials to replace ITO (indium tin oxide). Protective film is most important to maintain unique silver pattern on top of transparent PET. PSA pressure sensitive adhesives) was developed solely for nano silver on PET and protective film was successfully laminated. We have optimized all process conditions such as coating thickness, line speed and aging time & temperature via experimental design. Transparent conductive film and its protective film developed in this research are commercially available at this moment.

  • Recently, the damaged concrete structures are often strengthened or repaired using the polymer concrete or the polymer cement mortar. In the repaired concrete structures at early ages, internal stresses could be developed due to the differential drying shrinkage of the repair material. Due to the difference of the thermal coefficients of the repair material and existing concrete, additional stresses also could be developed as the structures are subjected to the ambient temperature changes. Theses environmentally-induced stresses can sometimes be large enough to cause damage to the structures, such as debonding of the interface between the two materials. In this study, a rational procedure was developed where anchors can be designed and installed to prevent damages in such structures by thermally-induced stresses. Finally, through the experimental and numerical study, the effects of the repair method using anchors with debonding was investigated and discussed the results.

  • Over the last 20 years, biodegradable materials in medical applications have been studied extensively. Among these materials, poly(ε-caprolactone) and poly(trimethylene carbonate)(PTMC) are attractive biopolymers to be used as biodegradable sutures, artificial skin, drug release system. It was known that PCL is a nontoxic biocompatible semicrystalline polymer with melting point of 63℃, and PTMC is an amorphous or little crystaline polymer. (omitted)

  • 본 논문에서는 폴리머(Polymer)기판에서의 레이저의 조사밀도와 기판의 온도 변화에 따라서 성장하는 ZnO박막의 구조적 특성을 알아보기위해 펄스 레이저 증착 법으로 PMMA(Polymethly Methacrylate)기판상에 ZnO박막을 형성하였다. 레이저의 조사 밀도는 2 J/$cm^2$에서 3 J/$cm^2$까지 기판의 온도는 상온에서부터 $50^{\circ}C$까지 변화시켰고 박막의 구조적 특성을 X-선 회절법(XRD)과 주사 전자 현미경(SEM)으로 관찰하였다.

Characteristics of Indium Zinc Oxide thin films deposited on polymer substrate (폴리머 기판상에 제작한 Indium Zinc Oxide 박막의 특성)

  • The amorphous indium zinc oxide (IZO) thin films were deposited on polyethersulfone (PES) and glass substrates by facing targets sputtering. IZO thin films deposited as functions of gas flow ratio on PES and glass substrates, respectively. The electrical, optical and structural properties of IZO thin films were evaluated by a Hall Effect Measurement, an X-Ray Diffractormeter, UV/VIS spectrometer in visible range and a scanning electron microscopy, respectively. As-deposited IZO thin films exhibited resistivity of $5.4\times10^{-4}$ and $4.5\times10^{-4}$ [$\Omega$-cm] on PES and glass substrates, respectively. The optical transmittance showed over 85% in the visible region on PES and glass substrates.
