  • This study investigates the question of how political and economic factors may affect the export of renewable energy technologies. The relationships are tested using panel data for 19 OECD member countries over the period 1992-2012. Before establishing the empirical model, the current study checks the characteristics of the panel data, which includes various panel framework analyses, such as tests for the presence of normality, structural breaks, first-order autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, cross-sectional dependence, panel unit-root. From the panel framework analyses, a dynamic panel model is established to test the relationship between the variables examined in this study. In order to reduce the bias of the estimation of the dynamic panel model and obtain efficient parameters, this study uses the bias-corrected least square dummy variable(LSDVC) estimator to estimate the empirical model. The results of this study show that governmental policies expressed as coercive pressure and market size positively affect the export growth of renewable energy technologies. However, public pressure and traditional energy industry have no significant effects on export performance. Policy implications are presented based on the results of this study.

From the viewpoint of public archive as a product of assemblypersons' public service performance and from their own personal viewpoints, they can create their own identity by arranging their personal records that can demonstrate their own political philosophy, policy orientation, achievements during term of office, and personal features. In addition, their personal records can have much more values and significance in the sense that those records are available to electors to make it possible to highlight their own images in objective and reliable manner. • While the Chinese banks have started the impact of foreign banks. At the same time, rising pressure on foreign exchange reserves and appreciation of the renminbi has prompted Chinese banks to go abroad and diversify their risks. The financial crisis of 2008 has caused the continued turbulence of the major financial markets around the world, and the valuation of foreign financial institutions has been drastically shrinking, providing opportunities for Chinese banks to carry out overseas M&A. Based on the overseas M&A status of Chinese commercial banks, this paper sums up the characteristics of the overseas M&A. Then taking a series of overseas M&A conducted by ICBC from 2006 to 2011 as an example, it analyzes the relationship between M&A and performance growth using grey incidence model. The test shows: there is a positive correlation between both overseas M&A and interest rate differential with performance growth of ICBC, and overseas M&A transactions role in promoting the performance growth is significantly higher than the interest rate differential.

  • Modernity is commonly defined as a reflection of the features of modern society based on the historical experience of the West. As such, modernity includes involvement with political, economic, and social changes, a changing world-view, and changing trends in equality, gender roles, a desire for "the new," consumption, distribution based on mass production, and rational reform in fashion and dress. First and foremost, however, modernity in costume has been driven by the functional requirements of industrial capitalism. But while modernity has popularly been regarded as some sort of universal standard, in fact the West and the other societies have vastly different, unique, and particular experiences with their own respective histories of modernization. For this reason, cultural changes in the modernization process should be-indeed, must be-analyzed in the context of a country's own unique historical and cultural circumstances, rather than through the prism or strict adaptation of generalized Western concepts of modernization. Moreover, a "periodization" of the modernization of fashion and dress can be established by examining the characteristics of modernity in costume.

  • The present paper mainly conerns with the four controversial issues: the exact period in which the Cholik was introduced into Korea, the morphological characteristics, the phonological and semantic aspects of the term itself. First, upon the political and serial ground, the Cholik was introduced at the later part of mid-koryo dynasty. Second, the original form of 'Cholik' was modeled after the Mongolian 'pyok-jok-po', an outwear with pleated skirt. Third, the term 'cholik' was derived from Mongolian 'terlig'. It came through China with the Chinese letters but the term maintained the Mongolian sound. The variety of the present pronunciations like 'chorik', 'chonik', 'chomni' and various notations in Chinese letters could be attributed to different phonological changes and analogy. Last, th original meaning of cholik was somewhat similar to 'militia' or 'soldier', but the social function of the wearer gradually discolored to indicate only the costume for lower officials or the military uniform.

  • This study raises the question about why do many international fisheries organizations or regional fisheries agreements come into existence, sustain, and develop prior to the internationally recognized institution such as United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea(UNCLOS). In oder to solve the problem, I will investigate the characteristics of fisheries as renewable resources and propose the collusion model where it is based on the cost-benefit analysis. Especially, if once a fooall large number of fishing is implemented, they are immediately depleted. Consequently they are extinct and no longer exploitable. Thus each interest nations or participants will be better off if they are cooperative and will be worse off if they are competitive or noncooperative in a resource management. Therefore, many of the internationally recognized fisheries institutions and agreements have been made and developed in these days.
