  • This study on the training of police officers job satisfaction and job performance is to identify the relationship. This study of 2012 Police Training Institute courses in related expenses 5 population in the process of initiation of a national police officer selection, and note that the sampling method used to extract a total of 300 samples, but the number of cases that were used in the final analysis, 268 people. Data processing by the SPSSWIN 18.0 factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression, path analysis. Conclusions are as follows. First, the police officer's training affects job satisfaction. In other words, work-related, of course the more positive the evaluation of job training job satisfaction is high, education, the stronger the motivation and job satisfaction also higher education can be. Second, the education and training of police officers affects job performance. In other words, work-related, educational motivation, job training curriculum for the more positive job performance rating is also high. Third, the police officer's job satisfaction affects job performance. In other words, education can be a higher job performance and job satisfaction also high. Fourth, the training of police officers on the job satisfaction and job performance directly or indirectly affected. That is, the internal job satisfaction and job performance, job training parameters are the important variables.

  • Previous findings on Organizational Citizenship Behaviors is a useful index for effectiveness of the organization. Also, it is a factor that explains the relation between its member's attitude and behavior as organizational commitment had been stabilized. Since autonomy and rapidity has become more important in increasing the efficiency of the organization, this means Organizational Citizenship Behaviors has become important in it. Organizational Citizenship Behaviors of the members occurs only when discretion and autonomy are given to its members. Therefore, this study aimed at measuring the effects of police officer's personal dispositions on organizational citizenship behaviors, exploring the moderation effect of organization culture, and providing the basis with implications to promote the Organizational Citizenship Behaviors in the police Organization. By reviewing previous finding, Police Officer's Personal Dispositions were selected as independent variables, Organizational Citizenship Behaviors was selected as dependent variable. and Organizational Culture was selected as moderation variable. The result of analysis showed that The belief & The Norm influenced in Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(positive), and The Value in Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(negative). And The moderation effect was tested: The Value${\rightarrow}$Hierarchical Culture${\rightarrow}$Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(negative), The belief${\rightarrow}$Rational Culture${\rightarrow}$Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(negative)

The Plan of Social Security network for Prevention of School Violence (학교폭력 예방을 위한 사회안전망의 구상)

  • School Violence is one of the most serious problems faced by Korean. As this serious problem becomes social issue in nation, many researchers have tried to find out the most effective solution of that problem and the reasons for why prevention of school violence are failed in such mind-hurting activities. The government and NGO proposed many the alternative to prevent the school violence. But the effectiveness of the alternatives art questionable. Last year Busan Metropolitan Police Agency and Busan Education Administration proposed new alternative in united cooperation which is namely Administration proposed new alternative in united cooperation which is namely 'school police' for school violence. School Police is composed of the retired teachers and ex-police officer, to do a prevention activity of school violence, which is expected to effectively curtail school violence in the assigned school. It is first networking try to prevent of school violence as a team of police and teachers in Korea. But the type of Korean school police system is different from American's school police, like as LASPD which is of sworn police officers. Korean school police is to employ a kind of school liaison officers. Though 'School Police System' got good reaction from students and citizen in Busan, It has some defects to be solved in future. So it hard to note that their efforts have been successful in curtailing the prevalence of school violence. In this paper, I present the new type of new 'Social Security Network Model' for school violence by repairing of 'korean school police system'. The problem of the school violence is not the problem of the school but the problem of society. In such viewpoints, It is important to plan a security network model which is participate in police officers, teachers, community and government. To prevent school violence effectively, I propose this new social security network model which based on theory of Community Oriented Policing, aggressive policing and CPTED technique.

Analysis of Preferences and Developments of Police Officers' Upper Uniform for Summer Weather (여름용 경찰 근무복 상의 선호도 분석 및 디자인 개발)

  • The need of development of police officers' uniforms for the summer season has increased due to rises in temperature. This research developed a t-shirt typed of police officer's uniform for summer weather. We analyzed the design cases of national and international police officers' uniforms, similar types of uniforms, and t-shirts for summer weather. The satisfaction with current uniforms and preferences for these types of uniforms were surveyed with 1,062 police officers and public participants. Designs were developed and design opinions were surveyed with 1,011 public volunteers. A total of 584 police officers wore developed prototypes for two weeks, and surveys were conducted with 328 police officers to reflect the final design results. More than 80% of police officers have very satisfied or satisfied opinions of the developed designs. The study is expected to enhance police officers' satisfaction with the developed uniforms for summer weather.

  • In this modern society, a main tendency of crime is to increase in the incidence frequency of cyber crime. Varied criminal techniques from simple crimes to highly specialized crimes appear through cyber space. With the expansion of Internet spread, ordinary people increasingly have an opportunity to have access to information media and their possibilities to be involuntary associated with crimes get higher. In this sense, its seriousness is great. This study examined the present state of cyber crimes that appear through their several types and characteristics and the problems of police response to cyber crimes, and suggest effective response of police officer.

The Correlation of Safety Consciousness and Practice of Safety Behavior in A New Police Officer (신임 경찰공무원의 안전의식과 안전행동 실천간의 관계)

  • This study aimed to examine safety consciousness and practice of safety behaviors in new police officers and investigate the relationship between them. The subjects were 81 new police officers who understood the purpose of this study and agreed to participate. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation using the SPSS 22.0 program. The results of the study show that the safety consciousness of subjects was as high as 4.29 points. On the other hand, practice of safety behavior was moderate at 48.71 points. Fire safety consciousness was found to be different according to age and education level, and environmental safety action was significantly different according to gender and residence. Safety consciousness showed a significant correlation with practice of safety behavior. Based on the results, it is necessary to develop and apply more effective and practical safety related education for police officers in addition to technical and institutional aspects in order to promote safety awareness and safety behavior practice.

User Acceptance of a Light-Emitting Diode Vest for Police Officer

  • This study aims to suggest practical considerations for designing protective clothing with increased visibility that will have higher user acceptance by law enforcement officers. Light-emitting diode(LED) patrol vests were visually and structurally assessed, and 125 police officers' responses from surveys about user acceptance of the vest were analyzed. The current LED patrol vest was designed for enhanced safety of police officers by increasing visibility in the dark. However, the user acceptance rate of the LED patrol vest indicates low use of and low satisfaction with the vest despite its enhanced safety features. In particular, differences in materials, design, functionality of the pockets and size of the vest depending on the hours worked, were statistically significant. The police officers' responses suggest areas of improvement in design, materials, ease of movement, size and functionality. Key issues include 'tactile discomfort'; 'impeded vision from the glare of the LED'; 'frequent malfunctions of the LED'; 'impossible repair of the broken LED units'; 'no user feedback'; 'inconvenient to replace batteries'; 'brittle materials' and 'unpleasing look'. To increase user acceptance, designer should incorporate context-awareness, a convenient user interface, a modular design approach, first responders' self-image as public servants in relation to their aesthetic perspectives of their uniforms, and scientific evaluation of the effectiveness of the intended functions of the clothing. Suggested implications for designing the LED patrol vest can be applied to designing other functional/protective clothing for intended end users with special needs.

  • Nowadays contents of crimes are complicated and diversified because of differentiation and specialization of society. For this reason, special judicial police officer system that each special field officers investigate crimes related to their special fields is introduced to produce high quality private law service. Nevertheless, special judicial police officers who deal with fire crimes show many problems because they have less experiences and ability about investigation than general judicial police officers. Then, purpose of this study is deduction problems by analyzing cases of fire crimes and suggesting improvements which are ways to improve special judcial police officers's who investigate fire crimes efficiencies and professionalisms. Problems about investigation of fire crimes are absence of professional investigation agency, a shortage of professional workforce, absence of professional investigation officers education system. Improvements are creation professional investigation agency, securing experts, developing professional investigation officers education system, construction professional techniques manage system, introduction fire crime cases manage system.
