냉간 압연기용 롤의 배열이 마멸에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Roll Arrangement in the Cold Rolling Mill on the Wear)

  • Work roll wear in the cold rolling of mild steel strip is strongly affected by rolling materials, rolling conditions such as roll arrangement in the cold rolling mill and lubrication. The tests were performed to find the effects of roll arrangement n the cold rolling mill on the work roll wear under the same lubricating conditions. The obtained results are as follows:If the distance of cold rolling is about 60km, the surface roughness of its was reduced by half(Ra 0.49${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) and Pc(peak count) also was decreased to 60 ea/cm.It is easier for CC(Continuous casting) to make a slip on rolling than IC(Ingot casting). It is due to surface mirror in which first residual product appears and iron powder included Al2O3 is sticked. Because bending degree of 4Hi-rolling mill is higher than 6Hi-rolling mill, the first surface mirror was occurred to its center-point which is loaded strongly. 6Hi-rolling mill shape-controlled by intermediate roll doesn't need the initial crown to work roll. Therefore, fatigue and wear would appear a little bit.

볼나사 그루브 상사비 결정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Groove Design in Ball Screws)

  • Ball screws are commonly used in linear motion feeding systems of various machine tools and automated systems. They are known to have relatively little backlash, high precision and efficiency compared to ordinary lead screws. Furthermore, the effectiveness of ball screw has made it the preferred choice of many newly developed high speed precision feeding units. The motivation of this work is to establish the groove edsigh basis of ball screws for the reduction of contact fatigue failure. In most instances, fatigue failure between ball and shaft groove is due to excessive contact pressure. Especially, the excessive load is causative of plastic flow below the contact surface, which can contribute to surface failure. But, in spite of small load, if groove conformity rate is large, contact pressure is increased and internal shear stress reach the yield value of the material. In such a point, the authors deal with design procedure for deciding the permissible conformity rate of a ball screw groove with the computational evaluation of contact pressure and maximum shear stress.

고속 엔드밀 가공시 동적 모델에 의한 표면형상 예측 (Prediction of Surface Topography by Dynamic Model in High Speed End Milling)

  • A dynamic model for the prediction of surface topography in high speed end milling process is developed. In this model the effect of tool runout, tool deflection and spindle vibration were taken in to account. An equivalent diameter of end mill is obtained by finite element method and tool deflection experiment. A modal parameter of machine tool is extracted by using frequency response function. The tool deflection, spindle vibration chip thickness and cutting force were calculated in dynamic cutting condition. The tooth pass is calculated at the current angular position for each point of contact between the tool and the workpiece. The new dynamic model for surface predition are compared with several investigated model. It is shown that new dynamic model is more effective to predict surface topography than other suggested models. In high speed end milling, the tool vibration has more effect on surface topography than the tool deflection.

선로전환기의 전류신호를 이용한 SVM 기반의 노후화 탐지 시스템 (Deterioration Detection System for Railway Point Machine Using Current Signal and SVM)

  • 고속철도 산업의 핵심 요소 중 하나인 선로전환기는 열차의 진로를 제어해주는 부품으로, 해당 설비의 노후화를 조기에 탐지하여 적절한 시기에 선로전환기를 교체하는 것은 안정적인 철도운영에서 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 선로전환기의 작동 시 발생하는 전류 신호를 이용하여 선로전환기의 노후화를 탐지하는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 선로전환기로부터 전류 신호를 취득한 후, 주파수 도메인의 특징인 SK값으로 변환하여 특징벡터를 추출하고, PCA를 이용하여 SK벡터의 차원 축소와 동시에 중요한 특징들만을 선택한다. 마지막으로, 선로전환기의 노후화를 탐지하는 문제를 이진 클래스 문제로 해석하여, 기계학습의 대표적 모델인 SVM을 이용하여 선로전환기의 노후화 여부를 탐지한다. 실제 국내에서 운행 중인 선로전환기의 전류 신호를 취득하여 실험한 결과, 선로전환기의 노후화 상황을 안정적으로 탐지함을 확인하였다.

  • 최근 철도 산업의 비중이 증가함에 따라 열차의 안정적인 주행이 그 어느 때보다 중요한 이슈로 부각되고있다. 특히, 열차의 진로 변경을 위한 핵심 요소인 선로전환기의 결함은 열차의 사고와 직결되는 장비 중 하나로써, 그 이상 여부를 사전에 인지하여 선로전환기의 안정성을 확보하기 위한 유지보수의 지능화 시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 선로전환기의 작동 시 발생하는 소리정보를 활용하여 선로전환기의 비정상 상황을 분류하는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 먼저, 선로전환기의 상황별 소리를 수집하고, 다양한 소리정보를 추출하여 특징 벡터를 생성한다. 다음으로, 딥러닝 모델 중 하나인 DNN(Deep Neural Network)을 이용하여 선로전환기의 비정상 상황을 분류한다. 실제 선로전환기의 전환 시 발생하는 소리 데이터를 기반으로 DNN의 파라미터에 따른 다양한 실험을 수행한 결과, 약 93.10%의 정확도를 갖는 안정적인 DNN 모델을 설계하였다.

적외선 광학 소재의 초정밀 선삭가공시 발생하는 미세균열 연구 (Micro-Crack Analysis from Ultra-Precision Diamond Turning of IR Optic Material)

  • Infrared (IR) optic lens can be fabricated by a single point diamond turning (SPDT) machine without subsequent polishing process. However, this machining process often leaves micro-cracks that deteriorate the surface quality. In this work, we propose an experimental design to remove micro-cracks on IR lens. The proposed design gathered data between cutting process condition and Rt surface roughness. This is of great importance because the scale of micro-cracks is a few micrometer. Rt surface roughness is suitable for analyzing maximum peak height signals of the profile. The experimental results indicate that feed per revolution variable is one of the most dominant variable, affecting the generation micro-cracks on IR lens surfaces.

  • A use of Titanium alloy as a structural material is increasing lately. Among those titanium alloys, Ti-6A1-4V alloy is the most popular one with taking 2/3 of it's market. Also, Ti-6A1-4V alloy can get the stability of organization and product measure, and the evaluation of the cutting ability and the mechanical characteristics. The point in titanium alloy work is on how treat the heat generated during grinding. Because the heat conductivity of titanium alloy is unnegligibly low, the grinding heat is accumulated in workpiece, and it cause the increasing of grinding grits' wear and the rough grinding surface. So, these characteristics in grinding of titanium alloy will change the mechanical characteristics of the titanium alloy. From this study, the mechanical characteristics of annealed Ti-6A1-4V alloy after grinding was concerned with checking out the bending strength values, and the factor of the change and the difference was analyzed after analyzing the surface roughness and the image from SEM.

전기 차량의 민감도 상관관계 (Sensitivity Correlations of Electrical Vehicle)

  • Generally, finite element models used in structural analysis have some uncertainties of the geometric dimensions, applied loads and boundary conditions, as well as in material properties due to the manufacturability of aluminum intensive body. Therefore, it is very important to refine or update a finite element model by correlating it with dynamic and static tests. The structural optimization problems of automotive body are considered for mechanical structures with initial stiffness due to preloading and in operation condition or manufacturing. As the mean compliance and deflection under preloading are chosen as the objective function and constraints, their sensitivities must be derived. The optimization problem is iteratively solved by a sequential convex approximation method in the commercial software. The design variables are corrected by the strain energy scale factor in the element levels. This paper presents an updated method based on the sensitivities of structural responses and the residual error vectors between experimental and simulation models.

PAC-PAE 2중 고분자 내첨 지료의 고분자 흡착 및 교질 분산계의 안정성 연구 (Polymer Adsorption and fiber Dispersion Stability of a Paper Stock Colloidal Suspension with a PAC-PAE Dual Polymer System)

  • The adsorption of co-cationic dual polymer system was investigated as was the fiber dispersion stability of a paper stock suspension. Polyaluminum chloride(PAC) and polyamidoamine epichlorohy-drin(PAE) polymers were used as wet-end additives. The adsorbed amounts of PAE polymer in a wet stock were measured by using polyelectrolytic PCD titration. The sheet forming experiments were carried out in a standard handsheet machine. Fiber dispersion stability and relative retention were evaluated in terms of M/K non-uniformity index and sheet basis weight, respectively. The PAE polymer adsorption of Langmuir-isothermal type decreased with increasing PAC addition level. The combination of the two cationic polymers presumably exerts a site-blocking effect by the low molecular weight PAC which gives a partial charge neutralization at a minimum level of addition. From a thermodynamic view point of PAE adsorption, an increase in adsorption entropy and a decrease in train number suggests that the PAR polymer has an extended conformation structure that potentially leads to an enhancement of the fiber dispersion stability. This conclusion is supported by handsheet experiments that examined the PAC-PAE dual polymer effects on the sheet formation and retention.

영상처리기법과 렌즈조합에 의한 관로내 탐사기법 (The Inner Pipeline Scanning Method by Digital Image Processing and Lens Combination)

  • 관로 내부를 조사하는 일반적인 방법은 CCTV 카메라를 장착한 원격 조정 기계를 사용하는 것이다. 그러나, 이 시스템은 관로의 상태에 따라서 정확한 관측이 어렵다. 기존의 CCTV 기기의 경우에 있어서 카메라가 파이프의 정면만을 향하기 때문에 관측 거리에 따라서 판독 결과가 다른 경우가 발생한다. 관측 정확도에 있어서도 작업자의 기술과 경험에 많은 영향을 받는다. 본 연구를 통하여 영상처리기법과 렌즈의 조합에 의한 새로운 시스템을 제안하였다. 영상취득 체계는 전면 영상과 함께 측면의 영상을 동시에 취득할 수 있도록 개발되었다. 측면에 대한 영상 전개 및 영상 결합을 위하여 적용된 영상처리 기법을 통하여 관로 내면에 대한 고해상도 영상 정보를 도출할 수 있었다.
