Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore the early childhood education teacher's ability to implement play-centered curriculum that is recognized by an early childhood education expert based on an analysis of focus group interviews. Methods: Two professors of early childhood education, two directors of daycare centers, and two early childhood education teachers participated in the focus group interview. The interview was conducted three times. The interviewed data were categorized and compared. Results: The action competence of the play-centered curriculum required for early childhood teachers were categorized into the following categories; comprehending play, recognizing play, and practicing child-centered play. Detailed factor competencies were required for understanding play, reflective thinking, reading play, recording play, playing like a child, and supporting play. Conclusion/Implications: For actualizing play-centered curriculum, early childhood education teachers needed to comprehend, recognize, and practice for child's play. Furthermore, we discussed the necessity and direction of teacher education to improve the teacher's action competence for play-centered curriculum.

This study was conducted in order to develop an observation scale for analyzing the responses of child and therapist in child-centered play therapy in terms of item discrimination, validity, and reliability. The observation scale was developed on the basis of child-centered play therapy literature, the author's experience of child-centered play therapy, the observation of video tapes of play therapy session, and discussions with child-centered play therapy experts. The participants in this study were 54 children aged from 4 to 9 years old who have emotional and behavioral problems, and 7 therapists who consult with the children. The reliability of factors, as measured by inter-rater reliability and Cronbach's', ranged from .72 to .77. The results of factor analysis identified 2 factors and 21 items associated with the reponses of the children, and 2 factors and 19 items associated with the responses of the therapists. The significant factors identified were as follows; (1) the child's response style; (2) the child's response content (adaptability, initiation, structuring, flexibility); (3) the therapist's response style, and (4) the therapist's response content (facilitative response, structuring, nonfacilitative response). In conclusion, these results demonstrated that the observation scale provides a valid and reliable means of analyzing the responses of child and therapist in child-centered play therapy.

The sociability scale was used for pre-post tests and the data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0. Every session was video-taped and recorded verbatim. Qualitative data were analyzed to examine changes in sociability. Results: Children who participated in the early childhood teacher-led child-centered group play therapy demonstrated significant improvement in sociability. During the therapy sessions, children's expressions and behaviors associated with sociability gradually increased. The purpose of this study is to qualitatively examine the play experience and meaning of young children who enjoy the appreciation of picture books based on the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum centered on children and play, and furthermore, various play imaginations and ideas in picture books are realized by T robot. The collected various play cases were analyzed by arranging them into play flow diagrams centering on each picture book, and based on this, the meaning of play was discovered by categorizing play through reading the meaning of play. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it supports <Picture Book-linked Young Children's Robot Play>, a play experience in which various playful imaginations in picture books are realized by young children's robots, and examines the experience of creatively creating play led by young children in depth, and furthermore, it is valuable in providing a basis for the direction of play-centered SW education centered on young children.
There are concerns that the recent surge in multicultural families and the continuation of non-face-to-face education, such as remote classes caused by COVID-19, are causing educational gaps among lower grades in elementary school. In particular, the importance of reading, writing and listening to our language should be established in lower grades of elementary school. Therefore, the research has recently developed contents that can enhance understanding by utilizing highly interested artificial intelligence tools and provide interesting Korean language education through play. In the future, there will be various attempts for artificial intelligence tools to be used in lower-grade elementary school education.

Today, the paradigm of education is changing from teacher-centered, facility-centered, supplier-centered to student-centered, people-centered, and user-centered. In 2019, the Ministry of Education promoted the school space innovation project to provide a school space as a balanced life space, such as learning, play, and rest, through educational activities led by students, who are the leaders of the future society. Based on this, Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education prepared a manual for practice while carrying out a project to build a future classroom. In those projects 'user participatory design' is applied as a new design approach and facilitators play an important role as experts in the process of user participatory design. However, it is different from the guidelines by the Ministry of Education in terms of facilitator role; facilitator in Incheon's future classroom projects can be in charge of designer part. This was possible because the design scope was limited to the classroom space and the construction permit work was not applied, and the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education seems to be able to successfully implement the plan derived through 'user participatory design' under the responsibility of the facilitator. However, this may be considered to be inconsistent with the basic purpose of the school space innovation project. In the case of the school unit project, it is considered that more systematic supplementation is necessary.
