수동운전방식에서의 PSD 출입문 신호반응 시간 개선 방안 연구 (PSD Door Response Time Improving Method in Train Manual Operation Mode)

  • Platform Screen Door(PSD) has been installed and operated at seoul subway line $1\sim4$ in the manual train operation mode(ATS/ATC) by SeoulMetro since 2005. SeoulMetro uses the wireless (RF) communication system and the train door detection system for the link between the train and PSD doors opening/closing motion in the manual train operation mode. For the convenience and safety of passengers, the train doors and the PSD doors opening/closing shall be synchronized as much as possible. In ATO(Automatic Train Operation) mode which provides the interface between train control system and PSD system, ATO signaling system makes the train doors and PSD doors open/close command signals systematically, so PSD doors can be opened/closed almost simultaneously with the train doors. But, in the manual train control(ATS/ATC) mode, PSD system needs to detect the train doors open/close operation and make PSD open/close command signals to actuate PSD doors. These PSD open/close commanding process cause time delay of PSD doors opening/closing motion in response to the train doors opening/closing motion. Sometimes the response delay time can be over 1 second, which is not proper to operate PSD, and need to be reduced This paper presents the reduction method of the PSD response delay time to improve the convenience and safety of passengers.

스크린도어 설치 후 서울지하철역 라돈 농도의 변화 특성 (A Noticeable Change in Indoor Radon Levels After Platform Screen Doors Installation in Seoul Subway Station)

  • Platform screen doors (PSD) installed at 289 stations in Seoul metropolitan subway from November 2005 to December 2009, are expected to prevent death from a fall and improve air quality. In this study, we systematically surveyed changes in radon concentrations before and after PSD installation in Seoul metropolitan subway stations. By solid-state nuclear track detectors (SSNTD), the radon concentrations before and after the PSD installation were measured at 54 stations of 6 lines from 2 to 7 reported to have relatively high radon concentrations. Mean radon concentrations at platforms were decreased by approximately 56% from 121.7 Bq/$m^3$ to 54.0 Bq/$m^3$. Before PSD installation, mean radon concentrations were in the decreasing order for subway lines 7, 5, 6, 3, 4 and 2. On the other hand, after PSD installation the order was changed to 5, 6, 7, 3, 4 and 2. According to a radon map of Seoul metropolitan subway, the number of platforms where radon concentration over was 74 Bq/$m^3$ decreased from 38 to 12 after PSD installation.

  • The pressure-transient on platform screen doors in side platforms caused by passing trains with various operating conditions have been investigated numerically. The transient compressible three-dimensional flow simulations are performed with actual operating conditions of two trains by adopting moving mesh technique. To achieve more realistic results, the detailed shape of train and the subway station including tunnels connecting the adjacent stations are represented in the computational domain. Numerical analyses are carried out for cases considering arriving/passing/departing train with or without train stopped on the opposite track, and both trains on the move in opposite direction. From the numerical results, the maximum pressure on the platform screen doors, which is predicted in the case of two passing trains, satisfied the design standards for similar stations.

  • PSD is automatically opened and closed when subway train arrive on the station. This system was designed to control electric automatic system. These doors will provide passenger safety, energy saving and a good environment in subway. The monitoring and control systems of PSD are configured so that they can be operated in automatic mode in connection with ATO through the composite control panel in the station control room. The objective of this paper is to obtain high reliability that is essential for monitoring and control systems of PSD. The power supply is based on protection circuit using DC power bridge from two UPS. Also, stable communication system consists of CAN communication line redundancy and RF cross protection algorithm. Monitoring state display results show the validity of the proposed high reliability monitoring and control systems of PSD.

  • 승강장 안전문은 긍정적 평가에도 불구하고 수도권 도시철도에만 100% 설치되어 있으며, 일반철도(Intercity Railroad) 승강장의 경우 승강장 안전문 설치가 전무한 상황이다. 이는 대부분의 도시철도에는 동일 형태의 열차(차량)가 정차하는 것과는 다르게 일반철도에는 KTX, 새마을, 무궁화, 누리로 등 다양한 형태의 열차가 정차하고, 자동운전시스템(ATO)이 없이 운영되기 때문에 기존 승강장 안전문 설치에 한계가 있기 때문이다. 현재 연구개발 중인 상하개폐식 승강장 안전문(RPSD)는 열차의 길이 및 출입문 위치, 출입문 개수와 상관없이 모든 열차가 혼용하여 사용할 수 있는 안전시스템으로 일반철도 승강장에 매우 유용하다. 본 논문에서는 잠금장치가 없는 RPSD의 기계적 메커니즘을 고려하여 수동개폐 알고리즘을 개발하고 그 기능 구현에 대해 실험적 방법으로 평가하였다. 그 결과 RPSD의 수동개폐 알고리즘은 전원이 공급되고 있는 조건에서는 매우 효율적인 방법이라는 점을 확인할 수 있었다.

서울시 지하철 승강장의 스크린도어 설치 전·후 PM10 오염원의 기여도 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on PM10 Source Contributions in a Seoul Metropolitan Subway Station Before/After Installing Platform Screen Doors)

  • Almost five million citizens a day are using subways as a means of traffic communication in the Seoul metropolitan. As the subway system is typically a closed environment, indoor air pollution problems frequently occurs and passengers complain of mal-health impact. Especially $PM_{10}$ is well known as one of the major pollutants in subway indoor environments. The purpose of this study was to compare the indoor air quality in terms of $PM_{10}$ and to quantitatively compare its source contributions in a Seoul subway platform before and after installing platform screen doors (PSD). $PM_{10}$ samples were collected on the J station platform of Subway Line 7 in Seoul metropolitan area from Jun. 12, 2008 to Jan. 12, 2009. The samples collected on membrane filters using $PM_{10}$ mini-volume portable samplers were then analyzed for trace metals and soluble ions. A total of 18 chemical species (Ba, Mn, Cr, Cd, Si, Fe, Ni, Al, Cu, Pb, Ti, $Na^+$, $NH_4^+$, $K^+$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Cl^-$, and ${SO_4}^{2-}$) were analyzed by using an ICP-AES and an IC after performing proper pre-treatments of each sample filter. Based on the chemical information, positive matrix factorization (PMF) model was applied to identify the source of particulate matters. $PM_{10}$ for the station was characterized by three sources such as ferrous related source, soil and road dust related source, and fine secondary aerosol source. After installing PSD, the average $PM_{10}$ concentration was decreased by 20.5% during the study periods. Especially the contribution of the ferrous related source emitted during train service in a tunnel route was decreased from 59.1% to 43.8% since both platform and tunnel areas were completely blocked by screen doors. However, the contribution of the fine secondary aerosol source emitted from various outside combustion activities was increased from 14.8% to 29.9% presumably due to ill-managed ventilation system and confined platform space.

시뮬레이션을 통한 로프타입 상하개폐식 승강장 안전문 적용성 검토 (Feasibility analysis of RPSD(Rope type Platform Safe Door) on the simulation)

  • 기존의 승강장 안전문은 철도 차량의 출입문과 승강장 안전문이 1:1로 매칭이 되어야만 사용이 가능하기 때문에 다양한 열차가 정차하는 승강장에는 적용이 매우 어렵다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 제시된 승강장 안전문이 로프타입 상하개폐식 승강장 안전문(Rope type Platform Safe Door : RPSD)이다. 로프타입 상하개폐식 승강장 안전문은 승강장 안전문이 위에서 아래로 닫히고 승강장 안전문의 상하 이동을 위한 기둥은 20~40m 간격으로 설치되기 때문에 열차의 길이 및 출입문 위치, 출입문 개수와 상관없이 다양한 열차가 혼용하여 사용할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 열차가 정차하는 영등포역 일반열차 승강장에 기존 PSD 및 RPSD의 적용이 가능한지를 시뮬레이션을 통해 검토하였다. 검토결과 기존의 PSD는 시공, 안전, 비용상 문제가 발생할 것으로 파악되었으나, RPSD의 경우에는 적용에 큰 문제가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Platform screen dorr (PSD) is equipment composed of screens and doors on the platform of subways or light trains, separating the platform from the railroad. The equipment is opened and closed in connection to the doors of carriages. In order to operate the system safely, it is important to understand the characteristics of key parts. There are many parts and environmental factors such as voltage, current and temperature change but the present study measured the change rate of torque and energy changes according to the temperature of the driving motor and analyzed the characteristics of the changes and examined the features of a motor required for stable PDS and the conformability of control programs.

승강장 스크린도어를 위한 통합형 제어기의 상품화 (Commercialization of Integrated DCU for the Platform Screen Door)

  • Platform Screen Door, PSD, is a device that seeks to prevent accidents with regards to falling off the platform and getting trapped between the trains, achieve improvements on the cleanliness of the air, address the accessibility issue of the disabled and the elderly and provide fresher environment on the platform in general. This is achieved by preventing health hazards and accidents from occurring through installation of fixed and moving doors between rail, tram and subway platforms and the railway. Domestic firms have achieved domestic production to a large degree in various Control Units including the Overall Control Unit and RF devices through investments in technology. Despite this, full domestic production of the core of the PSD system, Door Control Unit, DCU, is not yet achieved, having to install PSDs in a relatively short period of time. Currently, controllers with DC motors are developed for installation or one is faced with having to import foreign produced controllers. In this research, the control unit prototype using the BLDC motor was domestically produced. The performance of the control unit was rigorously tested through installation on Eun-Ha Rail on Wol-Mi Island.
