As a phreatophyte, pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) is widely grown in water-limited conditions and recognized as an economically valuable crop in semi-arid regions. In Tajikistan, pistachio grows naturally and artificially in 79,000 ha, but the nut yield is very low due to less-developed plantation technologies. In this study, differences in pistachio plantation technologies of the major pistachio-producing countries and Tajikistan were analyzed to suggest ways to improve plantation technologies in Tajikistan. In the major pistachio-producing countries such as Iran, the United States and Turkey, seedlings of high nut-yielding varieties are grafted before planting. As a result, annually 349-4,479 kg ha-1 of nuts are harvested in those countries. On the other hand, Tajikistan annually produces only 0.6-3.7 kg ha-1. While seven suitable high nut-yielding varieties (Albina, Dangarinka, Saboh, Green girl, Mountain pearl, October, and Orzu) have been identified as suitable for Tajikistan's environment, the plantation area with grafted individuals using these varieties is limited to only 1.5 ha, necessitating widespread adoption. The low utilization of the high nut-yielding varieties is attributed to the lack of grafting specialists and skills, which have hindered increasing pistachio nut production in Tajikistan. Therefore, improving the basic capability of pistachio grafting should be prioritized to expand the economic profits from the pistachio forests in Tajikistan.

The purpose of this study is to create a database of the use of landscape greenery that surrounds commercial buildings in Seoul. The method of this study was: to review preceding studies and related laws, survey areas, measure trees, and analyze the results. The 20 representative sites were specifically investigated to measure the width, direction, and environment of planting conditions. To analyze the greens adjacent to the building, the greens were divided into three types: front greenery, side greenery, and rear greenery. The study surveyed the distance from trees to adjacent buildings, and their planting conditions. The results of this study are as follows. First, 45% of the front greenery and 30% of the rear greenery were not established, but 19 of the 20 side greens were. Second, 13 of the 44 green areas adjacent to commercial buildings were under 1m in width. Most side greenery was belt -shape and unrelated to the features of the site or building. Third, the average distance from trees to buildings was 0.76m, indicating that most trees were planted too close to the buildings. Fourth, of the 30 trees utilized, the species breakdown was: 8 evergreen trees, 15 deciduous trees, and 7 shrubs. For the most part, planting patterns were similar for all species. Fifth, most sites were ill-suited to tree growth, because crown shape, planting conditions, and light conditions, etc., had not been considered. Based on these results, it is suggested that more specific, subdivided standards for planting conditions should be established. For example, building plans should include a green area that is at least one meter in width. In addition, according to the location and type(closing/opening) of the greenery adjacent to the buildings, suitable management programs and supervision protocol should be adopted.
The Korean mint (Agastache rugosa Kuntze) is used as a leaf vegetable. Therefore, it is important to improve the quality and quantity of leaves by maintaining vegetative growth. When the development of a plant is switched from vegetative to reproductive growth, leaf development may be lowered, leading to a decrease in marketability. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the effect of the photoperiod on the flowering characteristics and inflorescence development of the Korean mint to select an appropriate photoperiod for leaf production. The seeds were sown in 105-cell trays on 29 November 2021, and planted in each pot on 27 December 2021, when four main leaves appeared. After planting, the light/dark period was adjusted to 10/14hrs, 12/12hrs, 14/10hrs, 16/8hrs. After 19 days of planting, the first flowering occurred in 10/14hrs, which had a short photoperiod, and the 12/12hrs had 20 days for flowering, and other treatments had 21 days. In addition, it was confirmed that the Korean mint has the characteristics of facultative quantitative short-day plant, through the increase in the development of inflorescences as the light period is shorter than the dark period. As for the growth of Korean mint, the longer the photoperiod, the higher values were shown with leaf length, number of leaves, fresh weight, dry weight, and leaf area of the shoot. Therefore, it is considered that 14 h or more light period is suitable for increasing the productivity of Korean mint as a leafy vegetable.

This study was carried out to investigate and propose a green-wall system with evergreen plants for urban greening of Tongyeong City. To achieve these goals, the requirements and possibilities for wall greening were investigated and evaluated considering the location, topography, and climate of Tongyeong City. Existing walls were analyzed and then a suitable green wall system is proposed. Tongyeong City and its 151 islands covers the central and the southern parts of the Goseong peninsula. Most of the land is covered with hills and mountains; $43.9\%$ of the land area has a slope greater than $15\%$ and most hills and mountains near the urban area have a slope of more than $30\%$. As a result of the topographical properties, concrete retaining walls can often be seen along the streets in urbanized areas. These retaining walls are not only unattractive, but they also create environmental problems, and thus should be replaced with native evergreen plants. Options for replacing the retaining walls include evergreen vine-plants such as Hedaa spp. and Euonymus radicans, but native evergreen shrubs such as Pittosporum tobira, Nandina domestica, Raphiolepis umbellata, Ilex cornuta, flex crenata, Fatsia japonic, and Aucuba japonica may be a more attractive option. Current wall conditions are unsuitable for planting vines, therefore, a reservoir-drainage-type plant box filled with a light artificial substrate is required for greening these concrete retaining walls. These might be irrigated in the dry season and fertilized annually by an appropriate system. These plant boxes could be attached along the entire walls. An experiment investigating effects of substrates and bark-chip mulching on the growth of Hedera spp. showed that the mixture of cerasoil and field soil(v/v, 4:6) was superior to field soil alone and to the mixture of perlite small grain, large grain, and field soil(v/v/v, 2:2:6). Bark-chip mulching tended to increase the growth of Hedera spp..

This study area for this research was the Taereung of the 2009 World Heritage-listed Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty. The Taereung space was divided into that of the royal tomb space, religious service space, transposition space and entry space. The original vegetation is assumed to have been planted at the right, left and backside of the tomb based on historical research literature. Regarding the original vegetation landscape of Taeneung, it was assumed that Pinus densiflora was distributed around the tomb lines and tomb space, Pinus densiflora was distributed in the religion services space and transposition and Alnus japonica was distributed in the entry space. By the present status of vegetation in Taeneung, the Pinus densiflora forest was the widest area with 50.3% with the broadleaf forest at 33.7%. Quercus aliena, Quercus acutissima, and Quercus mongolica were the main species found in Taeneung. The planting area was 7.9% and Pinus densiflora were the main species planted. To analyze the plant community structure of Taeneung, 108 plots were set and divided into four spaces. The importance of the percentage of those districts was analyzed on a spatial basis and it was found that the current dominant species of the tomb space was Pinus densiflora. However, as Pinus densiflora began dying out, the power of Quercus acutissima increased and an ecological succession from the Pinus densiflora forest to Quercus aliena forest was made. In the spaces of religious services and transposition, Pinus densiflora was decreasing and Quercus spp. was expanded. In the space of entry, the dominant species were Pinus densiflora and Quercus aliena, Pinus densiflora and Quercus aliena. As soil of this area is argillaceous, Pinus densiflora is expected to disappear in the end. The prior vegetation(assumed) and present vegetation of Taeneung were compared and analyzed and a goal of vegetation management and the way in which to manage vegetation were suggested. The goal of vegetation landscape management was to analyze ecological characteristics and vegetation changes, maintain and restore a landscape suitable for historical landscape forests by space. About the space of the tomb, Pinus densiflora forests and Pinus densiflora planting zones forests should be maintained and there should be efforts to restore and manage the Pinus densiflora forests, instead of the Quercus spp. forests. About the space of religious services, Pinus densiflora forests and Pinus densiflora planting zones should be maintained and managed and there should be efforts to restore and manage Pinus densiflora forests to replace Quercus spp. Pinus densiflora forests in the space of transposition should be maintained and managed and Pinus densiflora forests should be restored to replace Quercus spp. trees. Alnus japonica forests should be restored in the space of entry.
This study was conducted to monitor 4 years of changes in the vegetation structure starting from 2007 when restoration began and propose vegetation management ideas for the riparian ecological restoration areas in the purchased land around Nakdonggang(River). The study was conducted in each of 15 locations ($208,342m^2$) in the riparian ecological restoration areas in November 2007, September 2008, October 2009 and September 2010. The analysis results of the changes in planting species and population showed that, in the case of trees, Acer pseudo-sieboldianum, Quercus acutissima, Acer ginnala, Quercus aliena, Quercus variabilis indicated relatively little changes in their numbers and Quercus dentata, Cornus walteri, Morus alba, Styrax obassia, Sorbus alnifolia var. macrophylla indicated a 100% withering rate. Most shrubs withered due to the oppressive pressure of herbs and climbing plants. The planting density decreased over 4 years on average 28 plants/$100m^2$ to 20 plants/$100m^2$ to 16 plants/$100m^2$. Shortly after the restoration, The the amount of growth was reduced by restoration stress. however as time goes on after the restoration tended to stabilize. The changes in the basal area showed a decrease from $507.1cm^2/100m^2$ in 2007 right after restoration to $301.8cm^2/100m^2$ in 2008 and afterwards showed an increasing trend by going to $324.9cm^2/100m^2$ in 2009 and $372.7cm^2/100m^2$ in 2010. To improve the planting structure of the riparian ecological restoration area, the selection of tree species that have been considered for soil moisture and the differentiation of suitable planting structures that have been considered for local conditions were needed.
This study was carried out to investigate the influence of different planting time on the synthesis of isoflavone in black soybean, Three varieties used in this experiment were lpumgeomjeongkong, Cheongjakong and Heugcheongkong which had different ecotypes, repectively. Seeds were sown at different time, May 15th, May 30th and June 15th with planting density of $60{\times}15cm$. In order to analyze the content of isoflavone, we collected sample every 5 days from 30 days after flowering to harvest and analyzed them with UPLC. As sowing was delayed, the content of isoflavone increased in all of three varieties. The content of genistein was greater than daidzein and glycitein. Increase of Glycitein was not distinct from 55 days after flowering(DAF) and it was stable against temperature change during the seed developing period. Although the content of genistein in Ilpumgeomjeongkong from 50 to 55 DAF, in Cheongjakong from 40 to 55 DAF and in Heugcheongkong from 60 to 65 DAF was lower than the content of daidzein, it was higher than that of daidzein afterward. In the statistical analysis on the relationship between average temperature and the content of aglycone isoflavone at 5-day intervals from 30 DAF during the grain filling period, genistein in Ilpumgeomjeongkong showed meaningful correlation as y=-15.28x+407.9 ($R^2=0.505^*$), diadzein in Cheongjakong showed meaningful correlation as y=-6.188x-164.5($R^2=0.454^*$), and genistein showed significantly high correlation as y=-11.59x+297.6 ($R^2=0.545^{**}$). Taking all the above results into consideration, it was suggested that the regions suitable for high content of isoflavone in black soybean be the northern area of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do, Chungcheongbuk-do and inland area of Gyeongsangbuk-do, where are relatively low average temperature from flowering stage($R_2$) during the grain filling period.
This study was conducted to determine the effects of the selection of an appropriate sowing method in on ginseng growth, and the results are as follows. SAS (semi-automatic sower), commonly used by direct seeding farms, provides fast operation speed but results in high labor cost, while (Hooper Seeder Sowing) offers fast operation speed and high germination rate, but leads to increased laborer's fatigue. Daily working area per sower was 6,611 ㎡ for a motor type, and the operation time to sow 3,305 ㎡ was 15 hours for broadcast planting, and 8 hours for SAS. The germination rate of 1-year-old ginseng according to direct seeding was 69.1% for the treatment plot under broadcast planting, followed by 66.4% and 67.3% for manual sower and hoop sower, respectively, and the germination rate of SAS was the lowest at 64.2%. In addition, there were no differences in shoot and root growth of 1-year-old ginseng among the sowing methods. Therefore, the sowing method can be chosen depending on the economic size of ginseng farmers. That broadcast sowing (BS) is appropriate for small scale farmers, while motor-driven seeder sowing (MDS) for direct seeding is more suitable for large scale farmers.

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of cultivars and to establish the hydroponic cultivation method of spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) f3r autumn season. Considering the rate of germination, plant height is 25 cm interior and exterior and leaf blade and petiole attitude is erect the best two cultivars 'Artlars', 'Dimple' were selected among the 19 cultivars tested. Seed germination was more than $90{\%}$ in both cultivars of 'Artlars', 'Dimple'. Seed rate of germination drops more or less, but it was cultivar that 'Mahoroba' cultivars is becoming in export standard production, and 'Premium', 'Platon' cultivar which plant height of leaf blade and petiole attitude is erect is about 20 cm was thought by suitable cultivars to domestic. Plant height relationship difference that follow to planting distances decreased according as planting distances growth than $12{\times}11$ cm to $12{\times}15$ cm. In the meantime, the increase of leaf area and fresh weight was increasing transplanting distance. The yield per ha of 14,890 kg in the $12{\times}11$ cm was $67{\%}$ increased than that in the $12{\times}9$ cm. Therefore, $12{\times}11$ cm spacing is considered optimum planting distance for spinach hydroponic cultivation in autumn season.
