A Study on the Method of Using Plants and Preference Analysis for Interior Space (실내공간에 있어서 식물 이용 방법과 선호도 분석에 관한 연구)

  • This study intens to provide available guideline of useful plants in interior and be used by designer. It focuses on evaluating the character of plants, the method of installation and the form of composition for suitable design of using plants. The study finds out that using plants in interior are necessary positively by 94% respondents. And results of factor analysis are that plants are needed for emothional stability(factor 1), visual charming(factor 2), and educational effection(factor 3). According to job, the group of students is visual charming (P=0.0037), the public servants and housewives is educational effection(p=0.0029). The most available space of plants as follows : Department(30.5%), Hotell(26.3%), House and Restuarant(12.7%). It has been identified that the public institution and commercial space are much indused plants. The most indused plants in house is ordered that the veranda, the living room, the entrance. This result is concerned about relation of natural light plants. The repondants reply that the favorite arrangement style is the corner form(63%), the center garden form(52.1%), the large planter(19.7%), the planter box(11.3%). They respond that they are more favorite light green color than dark, and mono color than mixture color. Finally, interior Designers should be understood the functional and aesthetic elements and the special interest about plants for developing desigv.

Influence of Interiorlandscape in Commercial Spaces on the Management Benefits (상업공간 실내조경이 경영적 효과에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine influence of interior landscape in commercial spaces on the management benefit. In the course of this study, objects of survey were selected from interior landscaping specialist, manager and consumer who had experiences to visit to the hotel, bank, department store and restaurant. The main method of data collection was interview, questions and gathering materials. The cronbach's alphas program was used to measure the reliability of likert scales. The analysis program was applied a statistical methods. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: The factors considered by consumer who visits to the commercial space are design, interior landscape, traffic, parking capacity, cleanness, price, kindness of employee and event. Factors concerned with the product include branch size, traffic, parking capacity, kindness of employee. Factors concerned with facilities include branch size, traffic, parking capacity, kindness of employee. Major factors of those effects to management benefit are accessibility, time of stay, sales, efficiency of space, attractiveness and difference. In conclusion, overlap style gets the highest degree of satisfaction among total factors. Results of the survey show that factors which improve sales are overlap style and planter type. Among four commercial spaces, hotel is most effected by interior landscape. To enhance the sales of hotel, further study of interior landscape about hotel necessary. For bank and restaurant, further study of economic planter type and style is necessary. For department store, optimal use of spaces and case of maintenance are necessary.

Development of a Metering Device for the Garlic Planter (마늘파종기용 배종장치 개발)

  • Garlic clove planting is one of the most laborious operations in Korean farming. The garlic planting has been done manually; therefore, it requires tremendous amounts of human labor resulting in the increase of production cost. This problem necessitated the development of a garlic clove metering device fur the planter. The device was fabricated to meter a single garlic clove with a scooping bucket(29mm in diameter and 8mm in depth) designed after the image of clove's bottom shape. The lift angle of the metering plate and the magnitude of vibration were also affected the metering performance. The angle clove metering rates ranged 95.4~96.7% with the missing rate of 0.0~1.3% at the 80~85 degrees of the tilt angle and vibration level 2(1.985 m/s$^2$).
