Plant industry, which get high added value, renders to finding a new market for foreign trade by reducing its trouble and promoting economic collaboration. Inspite of this advance, korea plant industry has low techical know-how and has not been koreanized yet. This report presents the range and characteristics of the korean plant industry in chapter one, the present condition in chapter two, and the trend of plant industry of the world in chapter three. It concludes by showing the reform measures of korean plant industry which promoting korean export.

Combined cycle plants which feature distinct advantages for power generation such as fast response, high efficiency, environmental friendliness, fuel flexiblity represent the majority of new generating plant installations across the globe. Combined cycle plants have different operating modes where the operating parameters can differ greatly depending which mode is operating at the time. This paper addresses the bidding strategy model of combined cycle plants in a competitive electricity market by using a characteristic of multiple operating modes of combined cycle plants. Simulation results of case studies show that an operating mode among multiple ones is selected strategically in generation bidding for more profit of generation company.

Recently, Korea shipping companies have been internally/externally difficult to manage their fleet due to the high price of bunker, wage and low cost of charterage and freight. To solve these problems, some shipping companies have tried to set up a new business regarding offshore plant supply vessel(OSV). Owing to the absence of big oil field near the Korea coast, OSV market has not been gradually progressing as far. This study intends to review the legal review of both international and municipal law for the OSV. Therefore I have provided basic legal information to the domestic shipping companies which have desired to enter the OSV's market and suggest legal revision harmoniously to identify the problem in the municipal law.

Korea and Japan have maintained an intimate relationship of economic exchange. However, even though both countries have made sound advances in the ASIAN market, they have not established mutually remarkable cooperative relations and advances in the ASIAN market. If korean companies with abundant experience and management ability provide able managers and skilled labor and if Japanese companies provide construction technology, capital and information, they could enjoy enomorous mutual benefits by advancing in the area of plant construction in foreign countries. Therefore, if they cooperate with each other by establishing complementary cooperation, both countries can gain an advantage in international competitiveness with western advanced countries.

Recent desalination plant system are being operated by applying one of the technologies as like MSF, MED and, or RO. The production cost of pure water from sea water by the desalination plant was U$9/m$^3$ in 1960, but now has been reduced to U$1/m$^3$ at present. The Power and Desalination Plant Project in Al Cobar of Saudi Arabia gave good chance to us export the similar plant systems actively to the world market. 1Hidd IWPP Project in Bahrain, Taweelah B Extension Project in Abu Dhabi of UAE and Ras Laffan B IWPP of Qatar are the recent large scale desalination projects under construction.

Due to the recent uncertainty of market situations such as the escalation of petroleum prices, increased production capacities of plants, limitations of the available EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contractors, and the increase of raw material prices, EPC contractors have had a tendency to include a higher reserve contingency in the lump-sum turnkey contract price. In order to overcome the changes in the market, the plant project construction industry has started to apply the converted lump-sum turnkey contract in plant construction market. This study was focused to find the associated risks and to analyse the identified risks on recent trend of application of the new contract type, which is the converted lump-sum turnkey contract. It was recognized from the analysis that quality and cost have more high priority risks than other project objectives. This paper also suggests the mitigation plan for identified risks to achieve project objectives appropriate to the converted lump-sum turnkey project from the viewpoint of an EPC contractor keeping transparency with owner.

The virtual power plant (VPP) is a new technology to achieve flexibility as well as controllability, like traditional centralized power plants, by integrating and operating different types of distributed energy resources (DER) with the information communication technology (ICT). Though small-sized DERs may not be controlled in a centralized manner, these are more likely to be utilized as power plants for centralized dispatch and participate in the energy trade given that these are integrated into a unified generation profile and certain technical properties such as dispatch schedules, ramp rates, voltage control, and reserves are explicitly implemented. Unfortunately, the VPP has been in a conceptual stage thus far and its common definition has not yet been established. Such a lack of obvious guidelines for VPP may lead to a further challenge of coming up with the business model and reinforcing the investment and technical support for VPP. In this context, this paper would aim to identify the definition of VPP as a critical factor in smart grid and, at the same time, discuss the details required for VPP to actively take part in the electricity market under the smart grid paradigm.

This study was conducted to research the status, history and prospects of farm scale milk processing and to develop a management strategy for small scale milk process plant in Korea. Also it aims to provide ways to apply it so as to vitalize the farm made milk products market practically. This study was also treats the practical development of dairy farm school programs through the farm scale milk processing. Farm-scale milk plant (FMP) should be some of the ideas to develop small scale and using the resources according to the local features, limited expanding in regional market, produce by consumers order amounts, management policy will be transferred organic dairy farm. A few policy suggestions to put FMP system of financial support would not from beginner, it is better to settled FMP system by government or co-operation group in practical support programs were proposed. What the state needs to do through direct involvement were to put efforts at demand expansion on FMP system products, to certificate and safety the farm made milk products marketing system settings, to build more variation chance of the milk products. What was more important, however, was support policy, to create the network of FMP market and to develop of training program contents for each FMP operation unit. The ideal FMP model for the development of Dairy Farming proposed in this research will be applied as a relevant reference in managing and realizing environmental friendly and sustainable dairy industry at the national level.

This paper proposes the level of price cap in the TWBP(Two- Way Bidding Pool) market in Korea for which the draft of market design has been prepared by KPX. Max - GMCP(Maximum Generation Market Clearing Price) and APC(Administered Price Cap) would be separately applied as individual price caps for a normal period and a Price Capping period in TWBP. The level of price cap is determined for inducing optimal investment in the Korean Electricity Market considering the 'electricity resource baseline plan' published by the Korean government in 2002 for maintaining government-leading resource planning in Korea. In this regard, Max - GMCP is calculated from the equilibrium condition of investment based on reliability standard and fixed cost of the peaking plant. For verifying the propriety of the proposed price cap, this paper compares the proposed value with the estimated VoLL(Value of Lost Load) based on Korea's GDP(Gross Domestic Product).
