패각류를 잔골재 대체재로 사용한 모르터의 기초물성 평가 (Evaluation on the Properties of Mortar using Waste Shells for Partical Replacement of Fine Aggregate)

  • Recently, the construction industry in South Korea, has experienced many difficulties in lack of supply with construction materials. Since waste shells can be possibly used as replacement materials of fine aggregate, the successful application can resolve, to some extent at least, the economic problems and environmental problems. In this research, the basic physical properties of the mortar which was used as fine aggregate substitute (clam, cockle, manila clam, oyster) were evaluated. According to the experimental results, the absorption rate and compressive strength of samples with various shells were equivalent to that of plain mortar. The mortar which replaced 25% of oyster shell with sand showed approximately 30% lower compressive strength and twice as much absorption as plain mortar. It was found that waste shells can be used as replacement materials of fine aggregate, but the oyster shell requires further experimental works in order for its successful application.

황산으로 중화시킨 액상레드머드 첨가 슬래그시멘트 모르타르의 특성 (Properties of Slag Cement Mortar with Liquid Red Mud Neutralized with Sulfuric Acid)

  • In this paper, the characteristics of slag cement mortar added with neutralized liquid red mud with sulfuric acid and reduced pH were reviewed to improve the strength degradation of cement concrete added with liquid red mud. As a result, in the case of compressive strength up to 7 days, the strength of the cement mortar added with liquid red mud tends to increase compared to Plain. This shows that adding liquid red mud to cement mortar tends to increase the initial age strength, and the compressive strength on the 28th shows 74% of Plain when adding non-neutralized liquid red mud and 89% when adding sulfate neutralized red mud. Therefore, it is judged that the compression strength is improved by neutralizing the liquid red mud with sulfuric acid.

  • Generally, when Fly-Ash was used as replacement material of cement in concrete, it might occur retardation of setting and hardening. So, it is unable to use a large amount of Fly-Ash as replacement for cement. However, if it is used as replacement material of fine aggregate in concrete, we can use a large amount of Fly-Ash and settle a problem of natural-aggregate exhaustion. Furthermore, engineering properties of High Volume Fly-Ash Concrete Is better than that of plain concrete But, the larger Fly-Ash is replaced, the more fluidity of High Volume Fly-Ash Concrete decrease, because porous organization of Fly-Ash adsorb water and Superplasticizer. In this study, after appending additional water to High Volume Fly-Ash Concrete in proportion to weight of Fly-Ash, we intend to find proper ratio which doesn't affect strength and satisfy fluidity As a result of this study, it was found that fluidity of mortar with 25~28 percentage of additional water was satisfied with fluidity of plain mortar, and compressive strength of that was similar to plain mortar's

  • The sulfuric acid may react with the hardened cement paste and originate expansive products which can induce swelling and disaggregation of concrete. The purpose of this study is to estimate the antibacterial performance of antibiotics and the effect of absorbed condition of restorative mortar, the number of coating times and coating contents with antibiotic on the fundamental properties of restorative mortar spead with antibiotics. Also, testing items such as bonding strength, abrasion contents, contents of water absorption, contents of air permeability was tested to estimate the fundamental properties in this study. In results, the novellus bacillus inhabiting in sewer concrete structures was restrained by antibiotics developed in this study. And bonding strength of restorative mortar spread with antibiotics was similla to that of plain mortar. But, resistance to abrasion, water absorption and air permeability of restorative mortar spread with antibiotics was superior to that of plain mortar.

  • In this study, flowability of the mortar added with length change and combination of steel and inorganic fiber has been tested to evaluate the performance of fiber-reinforced mortar. The following results could be made as the conclusion. Early age flow of the mortar has been decreased when fibers added. Slump also decreased with the adding of fibers. For the air content, comparing with Plain, all the specimens with fibers showed higher air content than Plain., Addition of every kinds fibers showed the similar EIS test results.

  • This study reviewed the reduction effect of autogenous shrinkage of high strength mortar by plant edible oils based on existing studies, in an effort to find the method of reducing autogenous shrinkage of high strength concrete. To summarize the results, first as characteristics of fresh mortar, substitution of plant edible oil showed slight reduction in liquidity. Compressive strength was reduce at age of 28 days compared to plain mix regardless of type and substitution ratio. Ratio of change in the length of autogenous shrinkage of high strength mortar by plant oils was found to reduce compared to the plain, and the reduction effect was most satisfactorγ in bean oil.

  • This study progressed fresh mortar test and hardening mortar test as a characteristic analysis of high strength mortar that is not water but replaced liquid, and the results are summarized as following. As a characteristic of fresh mortar, the flow that is following by the changes of the kind of replaced liquid decreased in order of E, M, A, K, O, L, G, and H, and it is indicated that liquid except H, the flow was better then others. The test show the bending strength of G, L, K, O at and H were more increased then plain as the replaced liquid change on the first day, and on the 28th day, G, L, and K was more increased then plain. The compressive strength of G, K, and O was similar with P(-10) at the first day. On 7th day, the test show G, and L was more increased then P(-10), and other replaced liquid were similar or decreased. On the 28th day, G, K, and A was similar with P(-10) and it is decreased in order of E, L, O, and H.

시멘트 종류별 질산 중화 레드머드 혼입 모르타르의 특성 (Characteristics of Mortar Mixed Nitric Acid Neutralized Red Mud by Cement Type)

  • 본 연구에서는 산업부산물 레드머드를 건설산업에서의 활용 가능성에 대한 기초 데이터를 분석하기 위해 pH 10~12인 액상 레드머드(LR)를 질산으로 중화하여 pH 7~8인 액상 레드머드를 시멘트 종류에 따른 모르타르에 대체하였다. 평가항목으로 플로우, 응결시간, 압축강도를 측정하였으며 XRD, SEM 분석을 통해 화학적 특성을 분석하였다. 플로우 측정결과 시멘트 종류별 LR과 LN의 경우 Plain과 비교하여 플로우 값이 감소하였다. 응결시간 측정결과 시멘트 종류별 Plain과 비교하여 LR과 LN의 초결시간과 종결시간은 단축되었다. 압축강도 측정결과 액상 레드머드를 슬래그 시멘트에 대체하였을 경우 초기강도가 증가하며 장기강도의 경우 시멘트 종류별 모르타르의 강도 개선이 미미하였다. SEM 분석결과 시멘트 종류에 따른 Plain과 LN에서 공극이 관찰되었고 LR의 미세구조는 섬유상 조직으로 미세구조가 다르게 나타났다. XRD 분석결과 OR과 ON 비교하여 SN에서는 XRD 패턴이 유사하게 나타나고 있지만, 2θ 값 22°에서 피크가 관찰되었다. SR에서는 새로운 피크가 관찰되었다. 따라서 질산 중화 액상 레드머드보다 중화하지 않은 액상 레드머드를 슬래그 시멘트 모르타르에 대체하였을 경우 초기강도가 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

시험방법에 따른 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 인장 및 휨접착강도 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Adhesion in Tension and Flexure of Polymer Cement Mortar Depending on Various Test Methods)

  • 폴리머 종류에 상관없이 폴리머 시멘트비의 증가에 따라 접착성능은 크게 개선되었으며, A타입 인장접착강도는 1.90배, B 타입 인장(접착)강도는 2.17배, 휨(접착)강도는 1.83배 보통 시멘트 모르타르 보다 높게 나타났으며, 보통 시멘트 모르타르의 B 타입 인장(접착)강도에 대한 인장강도비와 휨(접착)강도에 대한 휨강도비인 상대강도비가 각각 46.9%, 72.6%를 나타냈으며, 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 경우에는 각각 50.1%~101.7%, 73.8%~132.9% 범위를 나타내, 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르가 높은 강도회복율을 보였다. 폴리머 종류에 따라서는 EVA를 사용하고, 폴리머 시멘트비로서는 접착성능과 경제성을 고려하면, P/C 10%~15% 범위를 제안할 수 있다.

발수제종류별 잔골재 입도에 따른 시멘트 모르타르의 강도 및 발수특성 (Compressive Strength and Water Contact Angle Properties of Cement Mortar by Type of Water Repellent)

  • 본 논문은 발수제 첨가 모르타르의 강도 및 발수성에 미치는 다양한 요인 중에서 발수제 종류 및 잔골재 입도에 대한 영향을 검토하고자 하였다. 그 결과 발수제 첨가 시멘트 모르타르의 압축강도는 무첨가 시멘트 모르타르와 비교하여 감소하였고, 올리고머계 발수제 첨가 모르타르의 압축강도는 모노머계 발수제와 비교하여 높게 나타났다. 또한 잔골재 입도에 따른 시멘트 모르타르 압축강도 영향은 크게 나타나지 않았다. 발수제 첨가 모르타르의 접촉각은 무첨가 모르타르와 비교하여 증가하였고, 올리고머계 발수제보다는 모노머계 발수제가 상대적으로 증가하였다. 또한 연마 전후 접촉각은 잔골재 입도에 따라서 상이한 경향을 보이고 있다.
